I absolutely love their Oreo milkshakes, their blue cheese chips, and anything that has their chicken tenders in it. This is solid food, decent pizza - not the genuine article by any stretch of the imagination, but definitely tasty American-style stuff. The Barbecue Chicken Pizza in particular is delicious, and the milkshakes are as advertised, if a little on the expensive side. The line is always long but service is rapid and the environment is ok. Definitely well worth the trip down the hill if you're looking for something more bourgie than Franklin Street Pizza & Pasta / Pepper's in the pizza department. read more

Cashier couldn't tell us what came on a salad. They couldn't add a slice of tomato on my sons hamburger even at extra cost. They got our pizza order wrong. Also, at these prices, they acted like I was an idiot when asked if they had Splenda. Looks like a cool place. But it turns out to be a little too costly for another robot factory. read more

I've been to The Loop many times before and have been very satisfied with the food, but yesterday was the first time I used the bathroom there. Needless to say, it was the most disgusting restroom I've ever seen. There was actual crap smeared all over one toilet (I have no idea how someone misses the bowl). It appeared that someone exploded his bowels in the other toilet and the bowl was filled with an ungodly amount of toilet paper that would have clogged the toilet if flushed. I've seen better cleaner bathrooms in gas stations and in the jungles of Southeast Asia. read more

My wife and I went there for lunch today. Ordering went fine but it took a very long time for our food to come. When I went to pick it up only my chicken sandwich and fries were ready. My wife's salad with salmon was not ready. Once I got back to my table I realized my food was almost cold. I was almost finished by the time my wife's meal came. She insisted on taking it out because it was so late showing up. So much for a nice lunch with my wife. On top of that my chicken sandwich was so so it best; and who likes to eat cold fries. Take my advise and go somewhere else for lunch. Too many good places to go to so don't waste your time and money at this place read more

After he had ordered, my stepmom saw something she wanted even though she had already ordered. He gave us the burger for FREE! This is a great community and a great restaurant. Nice facelift for the restaurant. Although there is new tile and paint in the bathroom, too bad the disgn is not ADA accessible! The ADA stall is too small for a wheel chair to fit in it to close the door, hence NO PRIVACY. I mentioned this to the manager and he had no clue what I was talking about. Flavorless salad! Couldn't believe it. I could have sworn this food was much better a year or two ago. The supposed balsamic dressing, croutons, cheese, sundried tomatoes...all had no flavor. And the tomato bisque tasted like gravy. Very disappointing & I won't return. read more

I've been in Chapel Hill on business for the past week, and tried a different place everyday for lunch and dinner. I wish I found this place on day one! The quality is excellent for quick meals. This isn't fast food, but it's good food fast! The staff is friendly, the burger and fries I got were amazing, and I took a pizza to go for late night. It was really good! The menu is diverse enough where I could eat here everyday for my 2 week visit, and not get the same thing twice. It's cafeteria style, so you order, get your number and find a table, and when your number is called, you get your food from the counter. It's an efficient system, and looked to be a very family friendly place. I'll be heading back for lunch tomorrow for sure! read more

Consistently good food! My favorites are the veggie couscous salad and the Mediterranean pizza. Their prices are ever-so-slightly steep, considering that no one actually waits on you, but the atmosphere is laid back and there are several televisions on which to watch the news or the game. I can't ever seem to catch this place when it's not ridiculously crowded, but I think it would be a good lunch spot if I could. Every time I've eaten at the Loop, I've called in the order and picked it up. I love that they have a separate line just for call-in orders, because the line to order at the counter is sometimes out the door. Parking is plentiful but it fills up fast on the weekends, and navigating Eastgate shopping center can be kind of a nightmare. The pizza, salads, and shakes are pretty good, but prices are a little higher than they probably should be. The Loop gave Monday Funday a whole new kind of Fun. They have $2 milkshakes!!! Their milkshakes are the bomb.com and they make them the old fashioned hand spun way. I used to go to The Loop when I was pregnant with my son in Jacksonville FL and am now enjoying it with him 12 years later. I was surprised that the reviews weren't that great on yelp and was a bit hesitant about going but I was so glad I tried it out and this will be our new Monday spot. Oh and for food he had the cheddar bacon burger with fries and I had a Cajun chicken salad both were great. read more

The loop has solid pizzas, salads and hotdog/hamburger style fare but isn't what it advertises itself to be-- a Chicago style deep dish pizza parlor. For a pizza place, the service is fast and the 'order at the counter' atmosphere is good for a casual lunch. Overall a good experience. read more

Last couple of months they modified their Caesar salad dressing & definitely for the worse. The dressing texture is thicker and it does not taste like the same quality, along with Brown Lettuce recently. I'm disappointed because this was our "Go To" place for take-out (Pizza & Salads) and now the food lacks freshness & am most disappointed with the caesar salad which I used to Crave! I used to order from the Loop weekly because the Pizza & Salad WERE always consistent. Lately there is DEFINITELY a change in consistency and quality so we will definitely be taking a break from this old favorite for a while. read more

Overpriced for the quality and service that you receive. The food is dry and cheaply made. I would compare it to that of a cafeteria. I've had lunch and dinner there many times and each time I've tried a different item on the menu. Every single time it lacks flavor and the texture is that of something that has been sitting under a heat lamp for an hour. Not to mention the owner is NOT a nice person. I witnessed him yelling at a woman crossing through the loop parking lot - He was the one at fault, he was speeding through the parking lot and almost hit her. I love all the yummy vegetarian options at The Loop. Everything is so tasty and I never have a problem finding something to eat. I'm usually really indecisive when I come here because there's so many options for me. I love the Mediterranean pizza, the veggie melt ciabatta, the couscous salad, the big steak fries, and more. The Loop is a great place to eat! Fast service, family friendly, and tasty, affordable food! It was one of the first places I was introduced to when I moved to Chapel Hill. Their milkshakes are delicious! They also have great pizza and burgers. I definitely recommend. The Loop is a nice place to go for lunch or a casual dinner. Their shakes are huge and really good (as long as you don't think about all the sugar in there...). I also tried their blue cheese chips last time I went there, and it was awesome. The chips are nice and crisp around the edges and then the cheese was melty and salty and deliciously warm. Their gorgonzola walnut salad is also pretty great and tastes incredibly fresh. Sometimes I wish they'd put a teeny bit more dressing on it though, but no major complaints. Their tomato bisque is only okay for me though. It's tomato-y and creamy but nothing mind-blowing. I do like their toasted cheese crouton thing on top though. Their pizzas are usually a hit with my family. I personally like the margherita pizza the most -- it's perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of cheese and tomatos and basil. Yum. But if you're not into that, their spicy cilantro chicken and spicy barbecue chicken pizzas are also worth a try. read more
