Your table buzzer. It buzzes quickly.
    David A.

The Loop is a casual and family friendly restaurant in San Marco that has something for everyone at a reasonable price point. You order at the counter, get a buzzer, grab your drink (Coke products, tea and water) and find your seat. Typically, by the time you sit down, your buzzer is going off. The menu features, appetizers (pub-grub), salads, sandwiches, burgers, pizza, milkshakes and desserts. Everything is elevated from what you'd get at a chain. Yesterday, I tried the Cajun chicken sandwich. Nice flavor, slightly crispy, nice honey mustard sauce as well. The fries are really thick and good, the onion rings were really a pleasant surprise. We'll be back. The Loop is a solid, casual dining experience in the San Marco area. It won't disappoint.

Good food, friendly service, reasonable prices. The grilled chicken sandwich was juicy and delicious. Steak fries were crispy and the onion rings were too. Order at the counter, your you table beeper lets you know when your food is ready. Self serve fountain drinks make refills easy too. Table and booth seating, along with tables outside for warmer weather.

Craving for Pizza this Friday night so we tried The Loop. It's a self service restaurant where all orders and payment are done by the counter and the place has a lot of sitting capacity and few outdoor seats. We ordered half and half of Artichoke & Bacon and Fennel Sausage & Goat Cheese with additional beef plus their Great American Cheeseburger. The latter was just ok, while the pizza served to us seems to be wrong as there's no trace of mushroom, tomato, and the additional beef toppings. They were able to correct it by serving just the Fennel Sausage & Goat Cheese. We also paired it with drinks that doubled as dessert, got the Strawberry Milkshake with cherry on top which also comes with a quarter full tall glass of its refill. While it was a self service restaurant, the crews were attentive to check what each table needs and there were 3 occasions when they were looking for who ordered an unclaimed item. Make sure to check if they got your orders correct whether it's for dine-in or to go.

One of my favorite places to grab lunch or dinner. My top favorite items are the tomato bisque and the French fries. The tomato bisque is so tasty and comes with a crispy piece of bread. The French fries are so good and I recommend trying them with their ranch.

The staff was super sweet and attentive. Our cheese burgers were cooked to perfection and the buns toasted just right! The onion rings were the best I have ever had. The crispness was perfect! The atmosphere is laidback. The decor has the cutest farm animal pics on the wall!

Went with friends to this place , as they said it's the best burger in Jax , they definitely hit the mark, the wife and I really enjoyed the burgers. Our friends ordered a pizza also , to be honest , I liked the pizza more than my bbq bacon burger. Now don't get me wrong , it was a good burger... just was expecting more of a wow factor ..

Great lunch restaurant! Burger and onion rings were both grilled/fried perfectly, while my friend enjoyed the new Pinsa Pizza. Delicious crust!

This is a good local place - you know what to expect, and by that, I mean a yummy meal at a decent price. I like to eat vegetarian, and their Veggie Ciabatta was big enough for two meals for me. My son likes big juicy burgers, and that's one of the things they're known for. I like the choice of sides without an up charge! The warm blue cheese chips are a nice change from fries. I haven't been to this location for a few years, and it appears they remodeled. The interior has a sleek, minimalist look to it. We sat outside. You're pretty much on a sidewalk next to the road, but I'm still glad to have this option. A nice variety of choices on the menu. I think you could find something to satisfy anyone in your group. They have a kid's menu too. :)

It's been a Long time since I'd been here as I moved. It used to be Chicago style and was awesome. They have radically changed their style, but not their quality and service. Still a great pizza. Mine had pepperoni, mushrooms, sausage and goat cheese. I don't eat a lot of salt, so maybe it was me. But the goat cheese seemed a little salty. They might have put feta l, which is a little more salty. That being said, it was still a great pizza. Awesome service as well. Very friendly and helpful.

Pizza was overly greasy, but the tortilla soup of the day was very good. I would probably prefer to give it 3 1/2 stars.

I am normally not a person who seeks out pizza in general because I find pizza is always missing something. For those of you who subscribe to the salt, fat, acid and heat thing (plus spicey for me), this is the pizza for you! In addition the pizza sauce was bright with a fresh tomato taste, not a sweet, heavy dark red spaghetti type sauce drowning in italian seasoning. Top notch! I can say I will come back for this one. This was my first time here and I asked questions about the signature wings. They gave me a free sample of wings. Same thing, god balance of fat, acid and salt was good. If crispy breaded and fried is what your wanting/expecting then these wing wont be a good match, but the flavor is spectacular. The lemon in the sauce is great. The ambiance is a little industrial, more designed for hanging out. That is a choice not a defect though. Just saying it is not a quiet dinner for two kind of place. All in all, a quality find and I highly recommend.

The entrance felt unclean--glass doors, floor, and mats were all gross--and seeing rodent traps by the front door during the day was a major turnoff. The ham was below average, with one hard bit. My wife didn't like that there was so little pineapple in it. Our Napoleon pastry was pretty good, and I might get it again ($5 for a small one). We both preferred it to the brownie ($4). I don't particularly like brownies, but this one looked particularly appetizing, and the order-taker said it was one of her favorites, so we tried it. That was a mistake. Perhaps I should have tried the mini cream puffs, which are a favorite of mine (3 for $5), instead. Among other things I usually like, they had carrot cake for $7 and a cup of cheesecake for $9 (which seems steep). Their fruit shaped pastries looked beautiful (and a couple next to us said they loved the mango one), but were $12 each. Their fruit-topped Danishes also looked delicious, but weren't available any more at lunch time. They also offer milk shakes and loaded (sweet) croissants. There are only four stools here next to a bar, if you want to eat in. The bathroom was pretty good. I probably wouldn't come here again, but if I were in the area I might try some of their other pastries or sweet treats.
