Solid traditional NY style bar in North of Hoboken! Bar tenders were super friendly and efficient! Popped in on a cold, late night around 8:30pm and ordered the tomato pie off the vegan menu. I didn't think I was hungry but ended up finishing the whole thing! Great music, Christmas decor for the holiday season and fair prices for the bar. The menu was solid and I'm not sure what it was missing but maybe I came too late and night or alone but the vibe, although cool, maybe was petering out by the time I got there. I'd definitely go back or try other spots in the area as I'm new to the town!

Good pasta, good cocktails, and good vibes all around! We came in a large group of friends and they were able to accommodate us quicker than expected. We really enjoyed the ambiance of their outdoor seating. I think it's a great spot!

I enjoyed my visit here. It is American food with a large selection from burgers, tacos, appetizers, pizza and salads. I enjoyed the blackened shrimp on top of the Caesar salad. It was so fresh and light. Our server was great and gave great suggestions. Ambiance sitting outside on a nice day is very nice.

The food is great, service was quick and space is moderately good. They also have a pretty sizable outdoor dining area.

A chill place to have a meal, nice bar area. We didn't order drinks but went straight to the appetizer, sriracha mac and cheese balls (1/5) which had a flavor more of buffalo sauce than sriracha which I am personally not a fan of, they were ok-- sounded better on paper than it tasted. For my main meal, I ordered the Madison Cobb Salad which tasted so much better than it looked(iceberg lettuce doesn't always look as vibrant and appetizing but the texture and overall flavor is perfect for this salad)! It was dressed well with spicy honey and I loved the kick of the blackened chicken along with it. I also had a side of the sweet potato fries which hit the spot with it's maple pecan aioli, even better than the truffle fries my partner had with his burger. Overall, I enjoyed my food besides the sriracha mac and cheese bombs--server was just ok, could've been better with attentiveness but overall service was good--pretty quick and punctual.

We went to the Madison last night for dinner and all of our food was very good! We started with the wings, which were spicy and had good flavor. For entrees we had the Mac and cheese, spaghetti bolognese, and the short rib grilled cheese sandwich. All of the dishes were very tasty and came out quickly! Our waitress seemed new and slightly confused when we asked questions about the menu. We enjoyed the dishes here and would come back if we are in the area again!

I came from Long Island to visit a friend and they chose the place. When I arrived they said that we had outside dining. I'm thinking, nice weather. As we headed toward the outside dining area, I saw several dogs. I was not easy with that and I received displeasure from another guest that gave me non verbal communication. I ordered the hanger steak with rice, black beans and home fries. They didn't have rice not the home fries. The steak was cold, with no exaggeration of the temperature of the steak and it was really chewy. The salad was pretty plain but delicious. The black beans were hot and dry but the service was EXCELLENT! Every interaction with the staff was pleasant and they were very willing to go above and beyond.y partner had steak as well and ste said hers ways warm and tough to chew as well.

I came out to celebrate one of my best friends birthdays, and we had the best time! We started with a frose and the fig old fashioned, both very tasty and delicious! Then we had an array of appetizers French onion soup dumplings, wings, sir racha Mac and cheese bombs, and bang bang shrimp which were my personal favorite ! Love the casual vibe in here it's like Cheers but way cooler! Lol and there's a million bars jn Hoboken but this place was super special from the service to the food I love it here !

The burgers are delicious, and the beers are so-so, but I wouldn't recommend the margarita. It tasted more like water with juice.

There is also a dedicated bar and bartenders, which made things very efficient. For our event, the space was completely open, though there are tables and chairs available if preferred. The room is mostly wood, so it can be a bit loud since there is not much to absorb sound, but overall it worked very well for a large group. I had not been to Brass Monkey in over a decade and was pleasantly surprised that the prices had barely gone up. Beer and cider were $8, and cocktails were $11. The rest of the bar has plenty of space, including an outdoor patio in the warmer months, and the bar food is good. I have also watched World Cup matches here before, which are always fun and energetic. I would definitely recommend Brass Monkey for group happy hours as well as for watching sports.

We got there shortly after they opened (4 pm), so it wasn't busy. On your way to the rooftop you'll pass through a nightclub, which reminded me of a discotheque reminiscent of Studio 54. I would have absolutely been a regular here back in the day. The Rooftop is spacious with plenty of places to chill & relax. I ordered a Cucumber Limonade $16 (Vodka, Cucumber, Lime, & Elderflower). It was crisp & refreshing. Perfect for this beautiful sunny day. My friend was right. The view was stunning - with sweeping views of the city and the harbor. One person in our group may have seemed a little off, and because of that, the staff refused to serve any of us alcohol. We get that they have policies to follow, but it felt a bit unfair to penalize the entire group--especially since the rest of us weren't drinking or acting out of line. To make things more confusing, they came back later and said we could order alcohol after all, but by that point, the mood was already off and we decided to leave. The place didn't seem bad overall, but that experience definitely left a sour taste. Maybe we just caught them on a weird night. Wouldn't recommend especially being in the wine country.

The Standard Biergarten sits tucked right under the trestles of the High Line, attached to The Standard hotel, the building that famously straddles the elevated park itself like a bent-open version of the UN building. It's designed to feel like a real German beer hall dropped into the middle of the Meatpacking District: long picnic tables, communal bench seating, steins of German beer on tap, the full Oktoberfest package running twelve months a year. Here's where it fell apart for a group our size: the food came out way too slow, and there just wasn't enough of it circulating for a party that large. By the end we were acting like vultures, or those seagulls from that one animated movie, every plate that hit the table got swarmed on sight. Drinks, on the other hand, were good and came out fast, so at least nobody was thirsty while they waited on food that wasn't coming. Genuine credit where it's due: the amount of open space and seating here is rare for this city, and for a group our size, that space was the whole reason the event worked logistically at all. Ok time overall. Great venue for a big private event on paper, just make sure whoever's running your food service can actually keep pace with the headcount, because ours couldn't.

My only two gripes with the spot were - they didn't acknowledge my birthday, even with a happy birthday from my server or the hostess. I am not sure why Resy prompted me to indicate the occasion if it wouldn't even be acknowledged or looked at. It obviously feels good to feel celebrated, so they dropped the ball in this regard. The second issue is it got sickeningly loud inside. This was a sunday night, and I ended up having to shout just to be heard by the girl right next to me. Everything else was good! Though there wasn't a dish that just blew my mind, everything was consistently really good and enjoyable. I recommended ordering a handful of dishes and sharing with a group. The cornstar martini was fun (and the popcorn was great!), the vodka pasta, caesar salad, and truff fries were enjoyable as well. The cute matchboxes were a cherry on top as we were leaving! We thought mini golf was interactive, everyone had the same chance to play and it's simple enough without exerting too much energy (unlike an escape room or the dancing tiles which I also came across in my research). Great place for friends, families, dates of all ages. We checked in on the ground floor (also have a coat check here) and were told they have a cabin themed course on the 2nd floor and a museum themed course on the 3rd floor, but there was a party going on. They also told us about the rooftop lounge, which is covered with plastic and they have heaters blasting the space. We went with the cabin themed. Although I don't think they completely blocked the 3rd floor with the party, we just didn't want to have to compete with others and wanted a quiet experience. They have stairs or an elevator. Once we got to the 2nd floor, we were the only ones there and were explained how the digital scoring works. We inputted our names, and our scoreboard would follow us from board to board in sequence after we all punched in our scores. The max was 6 putts per course to help keep things moving (we definitely played more than 6 on some courses lol). The courses did progressively get more challenging as you moved on. The decor was beautiful. Fairy lights lined the space with murals or a ski lodge/mountains around with a polar bear and a ski mobile. Many cute photo ops. On the last course, once you made it, the game swallowed your ball, I guess to help prevent you from trying to play the course again. I wish there was more than 9 courses though. It was fun enough but maybe having a few more would have helped fill the time more. Time flew by and we had lots of laughs. Would be excited to come back to try the museum course next time.
