All positive parts of this review are about the canned fish. My mocha was standard fair. It was ok. Not something to come back for. The place is really loud on a Saturday morning. Not an easy place to talk or hear anything. My kids... this is where the review really is. My kids eat out at places like this a lot. Their opinion on avocado toast is very well informed. The bread they were given was soggy and gross. Not something that was acceptable. There was so much mayo on these that you could have put them on the gill and fried them. Really gross. It was all over the avocado too. They hated it. I hated it. My kids were so unhappy with this toast that they went to the counter to ask for new bread. This place was more than happy to charge for a new slice of bread. Will not come back. There are other, better places.

If you like sort of warm food served in the atmosphere of a hotel foyer then you'll love The Madison Place. The beverages were fine, though calling it "hot" chocolate is a stretch, but nothing you wouldn't get at any Starbucks. The service was good, everyone was nice enough so that's one bright spot. The food, however, felt like they use one of those industrial microwave things you see at brueggers or subway, where it heats things to just edible but doesn't crisp or toast. My English muffin had the texture of still being cold even though it was warm, quite a complement to the kind of rubbery not seasoned egg, I suppose. The bacon was fine and the hashbrowns were cooked on a panini press based on the lines on them? Who knows? At the very least the price is okay, though had I known it was this mediocre I'd have never set foot in the place. read more

There were a couple benches and a tables tucked around to the left of the register too. Some were closer to the window, which for a space that small made it feel intentional and homey.
