Two bad experiences. The first time I went Mailbox Center they actually forgot to put postage on my item and it was returned to me -- and it was an important item. The second time I went, this week, to mail 2 items, they lady at the desk said they literally had no stamps and could not mail regular letters. She looked uninterested and seemed like she didn't even want to talk to me. When I left she looked relieved that she didn't have to get up from her desk. In the past I've only come on Yelp to write bad reviews once or twice, but this place deserves some Yelp love. I work very close by and have come in before, and although it seems people had some problems with the previous management I never did. Maybe I just appreciate a no-nonsense old guy. I had a mailbox with them for 6 months, the employees were always extremely friendly to me. When I had packages delivered they would help me to my car or offer, and they always remembered who I was. The mailbox prices were very reasonable as well. My experience with them overall has always been easy. read more

Whatever you do, do not rent any box space here. I had one for a while and I had 4 different pay check envelopes tampered with. The envelopes were opened and then glued back together, it was obvious. I also had tax documents and bills opened and glued closed again. I think they are running a fraud scam out of that shop. When I mentioned it no one seem to know how it happened. Terrible. What an ass. They have no website (still stuck in the 1980s) So I called to get prices and hours for mailbox rental (making more work and note taking for me). I asked Jack for hours and pricing, and he suggested I "stop by" to visit him and get prices. Wow! When I tried to explain I could not drive clear across Los Angeles County and back again just to get pricing? He rudely hung up the phone. Any dinosaur still stuck in the 1980s, not using the InterWeb thing, is guaranteed to be years behind and will be inaccurate on billing, pricing, and all services. There are several good mailbox rental services within five minutes of this location that offer email or text notification of mail or package arrival, and other digital services that lower their costs, and my pricing, and ensure efficiency and accuracy. This place never sent my package. Suppose to send out second day. What is going on still has not arrived after two weeks. Extremely frustrated. I will retract this if I get some help. For now don't trust this place to send your package. read more

I've been to this place twice now. I haven't found the proprietor to be nearly as pleasant as the other Yelpers, but that's fine. During my last trip (and I mean last), I wanted to ship a USPS flat rate Priority box. He weighed it and noted the zip code, which don't matter in a flat rate box, and then quoted me $27. Flat rate USPS boxes such as I was using cost $12.35 at the post office. I questioned the amount, and he said he wouldn't do that number for me because he had to go to the Post Office himself, and "I'm in business to make money!" No sorry, no nothing but this snotty little exclamation. Not being willing to pay over double, I left. I noticed that he posts that there is an additional fee for all USPS, FedEx, and UPS boxes of $1. Would this not cover the hassle of bringing the package to the Post Office? I understand that this place might be more convenient than going to the PO, but be aware of how much you're paying for that convenience. That's the only reason I'm leaving a review. If you go here, just be aware that the amount he's charging you to mail that package might be WELL above what the PO would charge. I'd rather go to the Post Office, and wow, that's saying something. read more

Avoid using this place. The owner is rude for no reason. I went to mail something at 3:45pm on a weekday and he claimed to be closing at 4pm and could not take my package. He stated the mail already left. When I pointed out that the door clearly says open until 4:30 and that I was fine with the package going out the next day, he still refused to help me and asked I never come back. In fact he said I was wrong about the closing time written on the door, even after I pointed it out. I was not rude to him so was baffled by his behavior, attitude and refusal to take my business. read more

I needed some material faxed. His fax machine is HORRIBLE! It doesn't tell you which pages were sent. It didn't send one of the pages. Had to call and go through each page by page, with the company I sent it to. So, after I finally figured out which one, and had it sent. He charged ME an extra three dollars for the extra time it took, and then tried to tell me it was MY fault! UNBELIEVABLE! It was HIS fault and he charged me for it. A total rip off. read more
