After a quick search, apart from the traditional 24/7s, we spotted the 5 & Diner, and it was close enough to get there within ten minutes! When we drove up, we were mildly surprised, a little retro, a restaurant we are not used to...upon entering the establishment, the staff was prompt, friendly, and we were seated in a nice booth right away. Our server, Danielle A was extremely helpful with the menu items, wonderfully cheerful, prompt on our orders, and could not have been more attentive!!! The food was well prepared, hot, very flavorful, and timely!!! We were extremely surprised and found this restaurant checked all of the boxes...not to mention surprisingly reasonable!!! For our three children, I ordered three Short Stacks but received only two. I also ordered two orders of scrambled eggs with turkey sausage but received only one, and I ordered bacon with sunny-side-up eggs but received only the bacon. I alerted the dasher, who returned to the restaurant and called me so I could explain what was missing. Unfortunately, the employee I spoke with was extremely hostile and rude. They insisted that I hadn't ordered the third Short Stack and repeatedly said they only make what's on the ticket. I explained that my screenshot showed the order I placed and that, unfortunately, the ticket apparently didn't contain my entire order. What bothered me most was the attitude. I was treated as though I was asking them to give me something for free, even though I had already paid for these items. I still made a point of expressing my appreciation for the dasher's help despite the way I was being spoken to. The employee responded with a sarcastic "thank you" and hung up on me. The dasher then told me that the restaurant refused to remake or compensate me for the missing and incorrect items, despite the dasher returning to the restaurant and waiting 10 minutes to try to resolve the issue. I didn't even mention the burger bun during the call because the interaction had already become so unpleasant. If the employee was simply having a bad day, I genuinely hope things get better for them. Mistakes happen, and I understand that restaurants can be busy. However, the combination of multiple missing and incorrect items, the refusal to correct or compensate me, and the way my concerns were handled made this an awful experience. Unfortunately, this is a hard pass for me. I wouldn't recommend ordering from here, and I won't be ordering again.

Note that the restaurant is situated near the courtyard, before you need to pay entrance fees to the museum. We were greeted and seated quickly, and offered menus from the server. We were enticed by the looks of the entrees that were being delivered to our adjacent tables. Ordering was going to be challenging as everything looked appealing! As usual, my husband and I would split our entrees. We created our own salad-and-salad combo, with my husband ordering an Apple Harvest Salad ($17.50) while I opted for a bowl of posole ($13.50). Per the menu, the salad would have orchard-fresh apples, oven roasted chicken breast, smoked Gouda cheese, toasted walnuts, arugula, and an apple vinaigrette. My husband asked if he could substitute the sweet and spicy mustard dressing from another salad menu choice (no problem). The posole featured slow-roasted pork, tomato, sautéed onions, pinto beans, hominy, savory broth, and Oaxaca cheese, served with fresh-baked corn chips and shredded cabbage. Our lunch was delivered quickly, and tasted great. In fact, we learned later that the posole was featured in Bon Appetit magazine. Nonetheless, we were disappointed that the soup was lukewarm at best; we would've preferred a much hotter soup. Service was a good. Our waitress was attentive without hovering. We especially appreciated that she provided an extra cup, plate, and utensils after we mentioned that we would be splitting our lunch.
