I LOVE when I get to write a good review! I have been seeing Marc for the better part of the past year and I won't go anywhere else until he retires. Even then I'll probably hold him hostage in my house and make him do it anyways! He's that good. I had done some serious damage to my hair with all the different colors, bleach, heat, you name it. It seemed to be at a point where it just wouldn't grow anymore, and I didn't care for the cut one of my last stylists gave me. I particularly hated that a lot of places now seem to have one person cut, and one person color. To me, that just doesn't make sense. How is the person doing color supposed to know how it's going to be cut and the best way to do it? I'm no hair stylist, but that seems strange to me. Marc does both, and does an amazing job! We have been doing high gloss stains rather than hair color and the change in my hair is amazing. It's really shiney, soft, and it has grown so much I don't want to cut it, even though I know I have to. I have my next appt this week, and I know I won't be disappointed. The last time I was there I left and realized that I didn't even pay attention to what he was doing, how much he was cutting, nothing. Marc has been coloring and cutting my hair for several years and always does a fantastic job. He has helped me change my hairstyle in a way that was really easy to adjust to. My color always looks great and he's very concerned with keeping my hair healthy despite all of my multiple colors...In fact, my hair is the healthiest it's ever been! I find that he is always very professional and warm to be around. It's an hour and a half of relaxing fun to be in Marc's chair :) No matter what service you're having, from color and foils to a simple cut, he makes you feel like you're THE most important client he has, giving you his undivided attention during your consultation. He listens closely to what you are wanting to achieve and gives honest and helpful feedback about the difficulty or ease of styling your new 'do at home (tools you will need, time it will take) and tips to keep your color vibrant and hair healthy. I was referred to Marc through a lady I met in the grocery store. Her hair looked amazing & I had to know how she got this look. She told me about Marc at the Marc Andrews Studio & did nothing but rave about his skills. I had recently relocated from Florida, and had nothing but mediocre cuts and colors. Well I called the next day and was surprised when Marc himself answered rhe phone. He took his time and was very patient as I described the mess I felt my hair had become. Marc went out of his way to book me an appt right before a big interview. The salon was fresh, clean and I knew right away I was in the hand of a professional. Marc gave me an amazing haircut, not being at all intimidated by my head full of naturally curly hair. He then gave me an amazing conditioning trratment, and finished it off with "halo highlights". If I had one word to describe The Marc Andrews Studio, it would be amazing. I have been driving over an hour to get my haircut with Marc for over 6+ years, and I have never once been disappointed. Marc genuinely cares not only about the aspects of your hair, but your personal life with regards to scheduling as well. As a college student, I have a very limited budget and Marc has always accommodated to this. Whereas some hair dressers I go to would tell me to come back in 2 weeks, Marc always works with me and suggests I come back in 4-5 weeks. In conclusion, you should absolutely give Marc a try if you are in-between hair stylists. I myself know I speak for all of his clients when I say that I hope Marc will be around forever. I've spent a Friday afternoon once every 5 weeks for the past couple of years in this shop, Found him by complete and total fluke, but more importantly, by absolute luck & fate!!! From the first day I walked into this shop, Marc has never been anything short of amazing!!! His quick wit makes you feel immediately at ease. I have been going to Mark for over 10 years. He's a real pro and knows how to give me a fashionable, great cut. Unlike a lot of stylists that do men and woman's hair, Marc knows exactly how to give me a cut that's not too edgy, but not boring or predictable. People stop me on the street regularly and ask where I get my hair cut or who cuts my hair. In addition to giving a great cut, I really like the fact that Marc is just a good guy--a family man with high standards and values. And I appreciate that he's not one of those odd-ball stylists..you know the type. They have 14 different shades of color in their hair on any given day. I was blonde in the past, but had been brown for many years. I decided I wanted to go back to blonde with my hair dresser at the time. My hair was no longer healthy as it had been, her results weren't cutting it for me, and I had to cut my hair short.
