Family friendly Margaritaville on the Gold Coast of Chicago. This open air bar and cafe is on…read morethe beach adjacent to Oak Street Beach. Loved sitting at the picnic benches area, (there are lots of tables and chairs too), shaded by a large beach umbrella. Music was a bit loud so beware sitting too near a speaker if you're there for conversation. We opted for non alcoholic beverages, a picnic bench view of beach goers, boats and jet skis, and that gorgeous Lake Michigan on a sunny, blue sky day. Greatly appreciated use of the clean flush toilets before continuing our lake front stroll. We were there on a Friday afternoon during COVID, not at all crowded. The shade and lake breeze made sitting outside in the hot and humid August weather refreshingly comfortable. Possibly our best memory of our Chicago vacation. Worn out from three days of walking the museums, Grant Park and the Magnificent Mile, this beach front interlude sitting on our derrieres on a beautiful summer day was epic!
