Look how little the pesto is. I'm used to delis putting 5x this amount of pesto in a pesto chicken sandwich. =(

I was hungry and didn't want to go sit at one of the sit down restaurants at the airport bc they were all super crowded and so bought a sandwich at The Market for an easy dinner. I really should've checked Yelp review before deciding on my takeout... the sandwich was really disappointing. I ordered pesto chicken and there's really little pesto you shouldn't be allowed to call this a pesto chicken sandwich. I learned my lesson. I'll never come back again. I'll try a different takeout next time I'm at Midway.

Bacon, cheese, egg breakfast bagel. $5.99

WHEN: Monday @ 9am I was a bit frightened by the number of terrible reviews at the market. Thankfully I ordered a breakfast bagel NOT sandwich. SERVICE it was very quick and efficient. The lady put together the breakfast bagels and toasted it for the customers. She was very friendly and efficient. WHAT I ORDERED Bacon egg cheese bagel $6.50 incl tax $5.99/breakfast bagel. Honestly not too expensive for a bagel. I've paid over $8 at Vegas airport and wasn't that good. This Chicago bagel ingredients are proportioned accurately. Decent amount of cheese, like 3-4slices of bacon, cooked egg in the middle. It was very toasty hot, fresh and delicious. A bit salty prob bc of the bacon, maybe drain more oil and salt in the bacon before putting on the bagels. It was a decent breakfast bagel at this southwest terminal. There weren't many options, either Dunkin' Donuts (plain bagel w cream cheese, donuts, muffins), chicken sandwich spot, or a breakfast bagel at the market.

Second time at this airport for a layover. Had about 30 minutes before boarding so I wanted to find the shortest, closest line + something quick, so ended up here! Pre-made sandwiches that are just thrown into the oven. Small inside, but employees were kind. The sandwich was good, definitely not worth $10 though. It can get cramped, so make sure you're paying attention when they're calling out sandwiches - especially when it's busy.

It's a stretch to give 3 stars but this poor young lady was basically working by herself. She was trying hard but the line was out of control.

    Chicken Bacon Panini

Eh. Not a lot of great options in B concourse so I went for the market because the menu descriptions sounded good. Ended up being a pre-made sandwich that they cook in one of those turbo ovens. I got the chicken bacon panini (because out of their 7-8 menu options they only had 3 available) and it was pretty dry and had maybe a 1/4tsp of honey mustard on it to bring any form of moisture. The employee cooking the sandwiches was not friendly and only responded with a very flat "yep." or "nope." to any customers questions. Overall not worth $15.

We'll say since I come to work in Midway airport more often. I discovered this Puerto Rican…read morerestaurant on the route when I take Archer avenue along the way. Despite that I made my own lunch today I decided to splurge and give it a try. I've had Puerto Rican food before but it's usually up in the north side of Chicago and that in the south side especially by Midway airport. Anyways the rellanos de Papa was delicious and the feelings were b however the portion seem to be small that's why I'm glad I ordered too usually some of the Puerto Rican restaurants on north make their rellanos de Papa bigger. There bistec platter with fresh salad and Puerto Rican rice was delicious however their portions were small too. The bistec had a red sauce versus oily fried sauteed sauce with onion taste. They had a different take on it. I drank it with the traditional Malta India beverage like on picture. I finished it up with a cocoa flan. I would come back again it was actually up the par with the Puerto Rican restaurants up north it's just I'm surprised the portions are smaller and they didn't serve water. Thus 4 out of 5 stars. Service was pretty friendly and quick. Ambience had a more modern feel with the Puerto Rican Caribbean Spanish music in the background. This is my first time coming and yeah I would recommend if you are craving for Puerto Rican and you're at Midway airport now that I know where this is at

I've place an order on 1/14/2026 it was for a pork chop dinner asked for Puerto Rican rice…read more(yellow) with beans. Once I got home I've noticed they gave me smushy white rice, The food was tasteless (no flavor at all), Cheeseburger was too dried and burnt, papa rellenas was too small. I've never seen it so small that it fit perfectly in my palm. In the picture it seemed like it was regular size and it definitely wasn't. lol The cashier (front) young lady taking my order seemed unfriendly, There wasn't any welcoming upon entering the restaurant. They need to pay attention to what the customers are ordering.
