I just got home from my appointment here and I am speechless with how it went. I woke up with a kink in my neck two days ago and the pain was almost unbearable to the point where I couldn't sleep and needed a lot of Advil. Being new to the area, I quickly looked up massage studios and found The Massage Studio Eastlake. When I looked yesterday, I saw that there were appointments online for Thursday but was in serious pain, so I texted them and they were gracious enough to squeeze me in for a 30 minute appointment for Wednesday. I did 30 minutes of massage and added cupping and it brought tears to my eyes in all the best ways. I was asked how much pressure I wanted and I asked for firm, and boy did they deliver. My massage therapist could tell what side I sleep on and where the pain was without me even having to tell her where. As I was getting dressed, I immediately noticed the lack of pain! The Massage studio Eastlake has the most wonderful and welcoming staff. When you first walk in to the studio, you're immediately put at ease. The setup is very cozy and calming. Christina is very sweet, caring and attentive. I highly recommend! She is very thoughtful with her technique and I always leave feeling relaxed and refreshed. And then there's Alex's professionalism and friendliness make her so wonderful to work with, and her deep tissue massage skills are simply unmatched. I've seen quite a few massage therapists due to a back injury, and Alex is the only one who can stretch out tightness and flatten knots to the point that you don't even feel them anymore. She seriously has magic hands. She'll ask you what areas you feel need to be addressed - and will dedicate the perfect amount of attention to them - but honestly it's like she can see knots you didn't even know you had. If there's such a thing as a body reader, Alex is it. She's really in tune with how your body reacts, and will adjust the pressure accordingly and check in with you throughout. And whether you're up for chatting or just zoning out, she'll cater to that too. Seriously, the sweetest yet strongest massage therapist you will ever have. Mai was amazing. Prior to this booking, I had never had a Thai massage before. Before my appointment, Mai explained my options and I realized I really was looking for a Thai-Swedish massage. I asked for light stretching as part of the Thai massage. Mai did a great job communicating with me during parts of the massage to ensure I was comfortable with the amount of pressure. We had a thoughtful intake conversation before starting and the Swedish massage was so wonderful and relaxing! Truly a lovely experience! The room is very clean and comfortable with a heated massage bed. The room is located in Sola Salon Studios so I was a little confused but Shuku met me at the door which was nice! I'll be back! Update 03/22: Oswaldo is a fantastic masseuse! I've been seeing Oswaldo weekly and he is doing wonders for my neck and should pain.
