This coffee shop is on Baldwin Ave in Makawao and the inside is pretty large with lots of seating. They also have a display case with baked goods over by where you order. After looking over the menu I ultimately decided on one of their specials, a cherry vanilla latte, which I don't think I have seen before in a coffee. After only a couple of minute wait, I had my latte and was out the door. My coffee here ended up tasting really good, almost like a cherry vanilla ice cream. The cherry flavor came first and that was followed by the sweet vanilla. While I know the coffee was there, it got lost a bit with the cherry vanilla flavoring. Still, I enjoyed it. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. A cherry vanilla latte is a new combo for me, but I enjoyed it and only wish the espresso was a bit more pronounced.

As soon as my dad opened his meal I have to admit that I was jealous as it looked great. Thankfully my meal was absolutely amazing. The brown gravy was legit with a ton of flavor and I could not stop eating it. The burger patties were hot and seasoned well. The mac salad was also really good. My only complaint would be that the rice was a little sticky and made it hard to get everything out of the container. I was also able to try some of my dad's mochiko chicken and the breading had great flavor while the chicken inside was moist and juicy. My dad enjoyed everything on his plate as well, especially the ono. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. And holy moly they were all phenomenal. There were four adults and we were all completely satisfied with the amount of food from those items. I thought I was 12 years old again growing up in my hometown Hana. The plate had one akule, 3 scoops white rice, diced tomatoes and onions, and a sauce mix of shoyu, calamansi, and vinegar. I'm old school native Hawaiian weigh about 270 lbs. I'm not a professional reviewer or taster, BUT I am a professional eater. So I lovingly told my wife, "Honey...next time you see this special again, buy 2 plates." I don't know who Bruddah Al is, but he know what he doing. I highly recommend Al's BBQ Pit for locals and vistors.
