We went here for our Anniversary. They knew in advance due to reservations. We were seated almost immediately. The waitress was extremely helpful and explained how it all worked. We ordered the 4-course dinner for two. The Alpine cheese fondue was excellent with two different breads, apples, and veggies to dip. Salad was pretty normal, tasted good. For the entrees, my hubby ordered the steak lovers. He said all were good but his fave was definitely the pepper steak. If we were to go again, he would choose the build your own and order three of the pepper steak. I ordered the Pacific Rim. Everything was delicious. Duck breast. Ahi Tuna, teriyaki steak, shrimp and pot stickers - all were delicious. I added the extra lobster tail and it was perfect! We used the grill at the table instead of a fondue for this. Boiled meat didn't sound good. Grill times were a little longer than posted for cooking but not too much. It was a really fun part of the meal. Dessert was the flaming turtle and so so good. There were fruits, cakes, marshmallows for dipping. They brought the desserts out on a dish that said Happy Anniversary and gave us each a glass of champagne for a toast. Above and beyond what was expected. I also had a wonderful drink with dinner called the Love Martini. So good! The booth was separated enough to feel a bit secluded. It was about as loud as any other busy restaurant. Definitely takes a longer than a normal dinner out since you cook your own food and there are the four courses. Best to go with someone you would have a lot to converse about. Nice place for a special night, probably wouldn't got there for a normal dinner as it can get to be pricey. Had my first visit to The Melting Pot(Arrowhead location) a couple of weeks ago and I was very impressed. The food, service and overall atmosphere of the place was inviting and warm. The experience that they offered for a birthday celebration was fantastic and brought much joy to the individual celebrating. It's my birthday! Was enjoying a beautiful dinner at the restaurant. Went early to escape the crowds. What do they do seat an incredibly sick child next to us. Child displayed extremely strong cold symptoms and was not covering her mouth. Better yet, she was the sister of one of the employees. We immediately got up. You could tell she cared about making sure we had a great experience. We absolutely love the melting pot and have only been to this location. Everyone is so friendly and food is ALWAYS amazing. We have never once had any issues. It can be a little pricey so we only go when we want to splurge or for a special occasion. However it is totally worth every penny. You will never leave hungry, never leave saying food wasn't good, never leave saying anyone was rude and never leave having had a bad experience. If you have not tried it definitely do so. We went here for our 5 year anniversary. We really like fondue and this is one of the better places to get it. It is a lot of food for 2 people and well worth the price that we paid. I don't usually take the time to write reviews but I'm doing this so that others can be aware of what to truly expect when going here if you still choose to after reading this. I went here for the first time this past weekend with my family who was visiting out of town. There were a total of 5 adults. We are a military family so we started off by asking if they do military discount and our waitress informed us that they do 15% off so we budgeted our meals based off of that percentage. We went with 2 orders of: the Big Night Out Dinners for Two (Our most extravagant dinners are designed for two to share. Includes your choice of cheese fondue, salad, entrée and chocolate fondue.) in total being $280. The cheese alone was $33 per bowl and it was super basic ingredients that you could put together at home for less than $10. The salads were also very basic which was expected. The entrees is where things get a little upsetting. We had: Premium Filet Mignon, Teriyaki-Marinated Steak, Herb-Crusted Chicken Breast, Shrimp, and Atlantic Salmon. You are given fondu cooking styles to choose from with different broths etc. we chose 2 broths assuming the meat would be marinated in the seasonings and then we were hoping to grill the food after. We get two pots of boiling broths to put all of our various meats into and eat without any seasonings essentially. I have never in my life boiled steak, shrimp, salmon, etc and especially without seasoning them after if so! And some of the meat did have seasoning on them so I asked the waitress how old is flavors wouldn't all blend into all of the meat and how it would stay on the specific meat it was on already, and she goes to say that the cooks prepare the meat a special way to prevent the seasonings from leaving the meat as much. (Which was clearly untrue) the food tasted extremely bland to where I requested a flat top to cook my meat on but yet there's still no flavor so I had to ask for my own seasonings so I could at least tolerate the food so I wasn't just eating boiled meats. It was also Extremely freezing in the back room they put us in and I asked if they could turn up the heat a little bit and I don't think they ever adjusted it so we sat and shivered for 3 HOURS. The service was slow and we had to turn the heaters up so much just to put our hands and arms over the heat to slightly stay warm. When the waitress also started the cheese at first, the water in the bowl slightly exploded and hot water almost burned me and my friends child at the table. After 3 long and freezing unhappy hours, our bill came out to $390 for the 2 dinners, 2 beers, and 2 chocolate milks. We then noticed they didn't follow through with the 15% off they promised us and only gave us $16.50 off. We asked why it was $16.50 off instead of $60 off (15%) and they basically said at some price point they only offer $16.50 off instead of 15%. The mandatory gratuity alone was almost $70 for service that wasn't even great. Overall it's FAR over priced and can be created much easier and more affordable at home. I wouldn't waste your time here and I wish the experience matched the price we had to pay but it's a straight robbery in our opinion. read more

The food is just ok the reason for only three stars is that it can be rather expensive and you do not get a lot of portions for what you are paying for. Honestly I had high hopes as this was my first time trying the melting pot but I was super underwhelmed. Overall the amount of food and quality of food is not nearly enough to be charging what they do. You're mostly being charged for the experience which is alright but not worth $115 for 2. Our cheese fondue was okay but not my favorite. The Entree was also just okay and for each meat is was about 4 pieces of the filet, 5 pieces of shrimp and 4 pieces of the pork. Not enough to let you fill satisfied and the broth was just meh. The 2 stars are for the dessert portion because it was delicious and I felt there was a decent sized portion of fruit and desserts. Again if you've never been it's a probably good to try once place but I wouldn't come back unless the portion sizes were raised or the price was lowered. read more

Tess was awesome! She was the friendliest and most helpful during our visit. She was great at explaining the very confusing menu for us since it was our first time. The cheese mixing portion can be a little awkward if the server isn't very talkative. I'm glad we were in Tess's section because she engaged in great conversation with us the entire time. While all the food was amazing, we did have a hiccup with our table. The burner built into our table was extremely faulty. It wasn't heating up the pot to an adequate temperature to melt the cheese or boil the broth. For about an hour of collective time, we were simply sitting and waiting for the pot to be ready. Poor Tess was breaking her back trying to work the cheese in. We also ended up being the very last table out at 11pm, even though our reservation was at 7:45pm. If the burner wasn't bad, we would have been out by closing time (10pm). It made me feel really bad for Tess being stuck there because of the tables burner. The manager finally decided to move us to another table after closing time because it was simply taking way too long. 5 stars for Tess! 5 stars for the food! 3 stars for first time experience. My wife and I were celebrating my birthday last night and I began feeling ill before we left the restaurant. Thankfully we made it home where I could wretch in private, but when my wife called to notify the partner, Devon, of the spoiled seafood (she had lesser symptoms than me but spent time in our guest bathroom) he stated that food poisoning has a gestation period of 2 hours (not true) and let me remind you that this is a 2 hour dinner, minimum. Bottom line, I wasn't looking for my $250 back, possibly a call back in an hour to make sure I hadn't expired or to maybe be aware that others could be getting sick from the same spoiled batch of meat.
