All I have to say is that LA COCINA will have my business. The place was not friendly and they can't even smile. I was seated promptly because I did make a reservation in open table.. Chips and salsa came out immediately but they are not very tasty and not spicy like I like them. Also they cancelled My open table reservation as I made it and showed up. And lost point. They will be getting a call tomorrow to fix it. My server was OK. She didn't even say her name. She was kind of friendly even though I know they're busy. It doesn't take very much to smile and say hi and thank you and welcome. The food came out fast. But NOT TOO flavorful. There's a ton of cheese on everything that I ordered. I got the combination plate with a chili relleno and beef shredded taco. The beans and rice were tasty. But I just felt like it could be something I can make it home. Just wanted to try them. The service took forever to check out, I get my check. And get heading out the door for one person tonight I took them a full hour. Which I thought was long enough to be sitting there waiting to get my check after I had finished eating probably A good 15 minutes which drive me Crazy. I came in at 6:30. Checked out by 7:30. So I guess turn around time is ok but I hate waiting. Also the table behind me didn't grt there food and they also cancelled There order as well. Ive done serving my self. But like y'all need more people OR your people need to want to work and not be planted at The front talking the whole time not gelling OR making eye contact. The floors were messy. Tables not Cleaned. Probably the first and last Time I would come here. Over price for drinks too. 15$ for a margarita? This place is GREAT. They have a large and diverse menu and service was AMAZING! Special shout out to our amazing server, Isabella ("Bella") and the assistant/busser Stazi. They were both attentive, helpful, friendly and fun! I have been wanting to try this place since they opened, but was worried about the negative reviews. There was no wait at 7 p.m. when we got there (but it was a Monday night). As I said, the service was amazing. Our drinks and the free chips and salsa were being refilled by both of them before they were even empty! Food was at our table within about 10 minutes from ordering. The servings were HUGE. The prices are a wee bit high, not exorbitant, but just a dollar or two more than average. But the portions were GIANT. My wife and I shared the nacho appetizer with shredded beef and we couldn't even finish HALF of it. My son got chicken tacos and love it too. Everything was prepared perfectly and tasted great. I saw this place while house hunting in Temecula. I normally don't like to try big Mexican restaurants like this because they tend to be unauthentic. I had the Guevos (eggs) con Carne Asada (steak), and it was very delicious. The meat had a lot of flavor, like it was made in your backyard (Una Carne Asada on a Saturday), and the portions were big. I will definitely add this place to my list of places to eat while visiting Temecula. read more

Came here during the Grand Opening and this place was packed. They have a lot of parking, but on a busy day you might have to park across the street. As for the restaurant I would have to say it's the nicest and largest Mexican place in Temecula or Murrieta. Has different wings with one a bar, outside eating, dining. Kitchen, and I believe more of a private room. Also when you walk in the place is beautiful with a gran entrance with high ceilings and nice decor. Service was a lil slow but hey what place is perfect on grand opening day with new staff and all, overall they did well and got order right. Prices are beyond fair on meals and they have perfect portions. Location is prime as its not far from the freeway exit and on the way to Pechanga. My fajita salad was excellent. That said, the service I received from the young man that waited on our table left a lot to be desired. I'm not sure if this staffing substandard is due to the shortage of applicants in the job market today post COVID? Also, since the building is newly built, I was expecting to be wowed by the dining room area but instead I was left wondering why such a drab interior to a newly built property. All this said, I intend to return to the restaurant in a few months time to see if things improve for the better. I sincerely hope it does improve. I wasn't expecting good Mexican food in Temecula, but wow! Their Sunday brunch is amazing! It was about $28 per person but there was a large selection. There was a taco bar, crepe bar, and omelette bar in addition to a delicious spread of chilaquiles, chile verde, enchiladas, huevos rancheros, pozole, menudo, etc. They had bottomless mimosas too for an additional charge. Upon arriving hostess greeted and seated us in a nice spacious booth and we had a very friendly waitress and excellent service . I came here for dinner a couple weeks ago, then found out they have brunch on Sundays. I came for brunch and loved it. Came back again and loved it some more. The food is excellent, the service and staff were great. Super friendly. Today, I sat in the center dining area, and I watched them work.. I was so appreciative that they had people keeping the buffet full, and "Cleaned" constantly... it was so nice to see that they cared about cleanliness. They changed out the dishes that held the spoons to scoop the food, and they wiped down the area, where food had dropped. Highly recommend this place. Will be back again soon!!! I discovered this restaurant by accident, needing to pull over to check my GPS for a different food place and deciding well I am here... I might as well give it a try. Thank you, Universe! The place is HUGE and absolutely beautifully decorated for the holiday season. Pros: They seat you quickly. Extensive menu Professional friendly service Comfortable Seating Food is delicious. I had the Steak Fajitas! Plenty of grilled tender pieces of steak that is so tender I used my fork to cut it. I loved the seasoning they used. It was so delicious I used one of the two freshly made tortillas to sop of what I could (as if it was bread - I am Italian... I lick my fingers as well when the meal is delicious). The vegetables served with the Fajitas are tender and grilled. Cooked to perfection! The meal is served with rice and beans. I am not a fan of beans because they do something not so pleasant (for others) to my body... but I did venture for a bite and they were delicious as well. They made sure my basket of chips was always full and hot! They sprinkle garlic on the chips. A delicious surprise. I could have easily made chips and salsa a meal... I kept snacking on them. The salsa... the one they serve is the most mild. LOL. I asked as tears were rolling down my face and my sinus were being cleared. If you love HOT salsa their mild may be a perfect fit for you. The woman's bathroom is large and clean. I love the blue tile sinks and the blue tile accents on the floor. A clean large bathroom is very important especially due to the hotness of their salsa! Plenty of free parking. Plenty of seating. It would be a gorgeous venue for weddings and parties... if you decided to have your party there because of my review, will you invite me? Cons: Only one napkin given. I asked for another but the waiter never brought me more. With such delicious amazing food, perhaps offering a hot wet towel to your guests so that we can clean our fingers. I tend to eat with both the fork and my fingers. Side notes: I found it very impressive that when they got busy... what looked like either managers and or owners came to the floor to help out. The price of the taco bar fit our budget so we came to pay a deposit and fell in love with the atmosphere of the restaurant. This is a beautiful new building with plenty of parking. Visually it is definitely an elevated and modern Mexican decor with extremely high ceilings and big open spaces. This does include one drawback however, since most surfaces are hard surfaces the reflected ambient noise can be a bit much when it's busy. The service was terrific, you could tell some of the staff was new but they were friendly and eager to take care of you. Our waitress was wonderful. The food was very good, all dishes were fresh and flavorful and salsas were terrific! The drinks were extremely good, we ordered a Chimango Margarita, Strawberry Margarita and two of us ordered the Purple Cadillac Margarita, which came with a shot of 1800 I believe. Incredibly smooth and tasty! The second and most significant downside to this restaurant is the price. So glad we decided to gove this place another chance. We have been back twice since my first review and both experiences were great. The tamales are very good. There are a variety of sauces for the topping even though the menu only lists two The guajillo sauce was very good. Rich and tasty with a hint of spice. The masa to meat ratio is spot on. The masa is tender and light. Filling choices are chicken, pork or shredded beef. All 3 were good. The shredded beef tacquitos were also delicious.
