Could've been better. For our trip to The Mighty Quinn their merchandise were all adequate, hence the two stars. Veterans are only an extraordinarily rare 7% of the population and each Served for 100% of America.  Active Duty are an even more extraordinarily rare 0.4% of the population and each Serves for 100% of America. The Mighty Quinn doesn't have a Military / Veterans Discount. That failure is a reflection of The Mighty Quinn's ethos. I believe The Might Quinn should have a Military / Veterans Discount as their thank you to and gratitude for our Active Duty and Veterans. Active Duty and Veterans have each written a blank check to America for "up to and including my life" defending the many Freedoms guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution all so enjoy, including enjoyed by The Mighty Quinn owner(s) and those who work there. OVERPRICED. DISHONEST. Purchased a Puffco Peak Pro, 3D atomizer, and hot knife. I work in the cannabis industry, showed my work identification, and asked for a 10% industry discount. Retailers uniformly honor this discount; Mighty Quinn was the first to refuse. Their reason: Puffco regulates its products and does not permit discounts. Puffco has since confirmed this is flatly untrue; vendors are free to do as they wish. Indeed, not only was I denied a discount, but also MQ charged MORE THAN PUFFCO WEBSITE, claiming shipping charges did not apply. This claim is unprecedented. Maybe they have a good selection, but these actions and policies are awful. Recommend shopping online or elsewhere. read more

Terrible customer service. The staff needs to be trained not only on customer experience, but also how they impact the sales of their store. I called to get a pricing and then asked how tall it is, and he replied with "how old are you", I said I was 22 years old. He told me to come in to continue speaking about it and I told him I don't have enough money to come down and potentially not find what I like. He then said well I'm sorry about that have a good night, not in a concerned way but very dismissive. It took longer for him to be rude than it would have been to answer my simple questions. Mighty Quinn is a place I like to go if I'm in downtown and just want to window shop. I barely by anything from here because most everything is overpriced. They hardly move product (aside from stuff like rolling papers, spoon pipes...) because they have super high end glass no one can afford. And if they're willing to shell out hundreds or thousands of dollars I think a lot of people buy glass through the glass blower. They have barely any affordable, good glass. I broke my beaker bong and wanted to replace it. Went to Mighty Quinn, wanting to spend about $60-$80. They had nothing in my price range that wasn't a bong with an attached downstem (shitty quality). Go to VIP down the street for a wide selection of affordable glass. Customer service is hit or miss. Some people that work there - specifically a guy with reddish hair - can be super nice and helpful. Other people have been very rude. One girl in particular, I think her name was Jessica (?), was very rude. I came in with my boyfriend before 4/20 and asked if they had any sales. Rather than simply telling us the sales, or handing a helpful flyer on the counter (we didn't see it at the time), she responded with "Uh.... don't you already know about our sales...?" We looked at her and each other, and she said "We have the same sales every year..." When in fact, after the other worker handed us the flyer, they had different sales than usual. We called the manager of the Santa Rosa Mighty Quinn (the largest and the one I really like), he explained she's a new employee and that behavior was uncalled for. The Mighty Quinn, well where do I begin? To start this is an average heady glass smoke shop where you could purchase higher quality glass and smoking accessories, This shop has a decent selection of pieces (bongs) but to be quite honest their selection of bangers, bowls, carb caps, dab picks ect.. is not very good at all. the bowls are all average and this location specifically doesn't have anything id want to put on my nicer bongs. Not to mention that their prices on everything are simply ridiculous anything thats in the price you want to pay will most likely be garbage. Now we can talk about their customer service which is a hit or a miss one time I was met by a very nice lady who helped me around the whole store and answered all my questions and while she wasnt very seasoned she still answered them to the best of her abilities and I really appreciated that! Other times you will be met by 'smartass' responses such as 'well thats what happens when you buy the cheap stuff' or bullshit about the money your spending, I have been there numerous times and 9 times out of 10 i'm hearing something about the things I select in terms of the money I'm spending which is ridiculous. I'm not going to buy a bong every time I come in or the best products you guys have in stock and it shouldn't matter because I can buy what I want within my budget. I mentioned a problem I was having with a torch I purchased from there about two weeks ago and was responded with 'well when you buy the cheap stuff thats what happens' which was the most unhelpful and frankly disrespectful response. I try to walk in there with an open mind but I am met with some negativity everytime, not to mention I go there probably once a week yet get carded everytime. I asked if my friend could come in considering he wasn't buying anything and was over 18 years old, it was cold and rainy yet the guy still said no on top of that the sign outside clearly says 18+ WITH ID it fails to mention anything about a medical card. I don't want to go here again and if I do I definitely will never buy another piece from here I won't give customer service like that my hard earned money and you shouldn't either consider making the drive to Big Al's in Berkeley they have a better selection and way better customer service the time you waste at mighty quinn can be used on your commute to Big Al's. This was my local headshop growing up and I still drop in every once in a while. This place was my first papers, first pipe, first binger, first vape, etc. Honestly. They're nice people, and they have good, pretty high-quality products, but it's a MONEY-MAKER. Think because they know you by name and you've probably dropped 3k inside over the years they'll throw in a carrying bag? Hahaha, oh no sir. This is hands-DOWN the BEST head/vape shop in the Bay Area, as they have the absolute BEST selection of glass that I've seen in an actual brick and mortar shop. They carry all of the best glass artist's, every type of beautified glass vaping apparatus one could dream of, and has even introduced me to some amazing new artists! As amazing as this store is, their customer service was seriously lacking (I shouldn't feel like I'm being rushed when I'm deciding whether to spend $50 on a dab tool or not), and the prices are (obviously) marked up much higher. However, I suppose that is the price you pay when you don't get to actually see the glass up close, which you don't get when you pay cheaper prices from online stores. Twas looking for a quality cigar cutter and who knew, they have some here! I didn't find exactly what I was looking for, but they really provided great service and said, "they'll check their inventory in another store and, if it's there, ship it to the shop and call when it arrives." WOW...less than 24 hours later, I get the call and the it's the exact cutter I was looking for!! I like The Mighty Quinn. Not just because it's probably the only headshop in Marin county. Well, mostly because of that. But, also because the prices are pretty good. I only come here when something breaks. I'm pretty well stocked. So, I came to get a new grinder. I was very happy with the one I got. It was kinda pricey but totally worth it. It's heavy duty. I don't think it'll break anytime soon. They had a good selection so I got to feel out the different options and pick what was best for me. The girl at the counter was helpful and patient while I went back and forth between a couple different ones I liked. She answered all of my questions and didn't make me feel rushed. I paid full boat for an iolite vaporizer ($273 with tax) and it had been returned to the manufacturer in Ireland for warranty service (took more than 2 months -- and the Mighty Quinn said that they were not going to be involved in warranty service -- I spoke to an internet distributor of the same product and they said 'too bad you didn't buy it from us, we would have just replaced it"). After getting it back with the ignition problem resolved, now it has a fuel problem). More exasperating is the fact that several stores in the Bay Area sell the same product for $200, and they will help with warranty service. So the store is overpriced with poor service. An item was marked $9.99 I get that and a couple other things. I get rung up for $40+. I think maybe things just added up fast. I check my receipt for my three things as I'm going up the stairs. "Oh that thing that said it was $9.99 was rang up for $35. I will simply explain what happened and get the difference or just return the whole thing. No big deal." I only got to the stairs before I turned around. not even out of the store for a minute. We go back in and they are helping another customer for a while before even acknowledging us. Which I understand I don't mind waiting(however the parking meter is running). I explain what happened and asked to just return it or get it for the price whatever works for them. The guy "helping" me is completely rude. He doesn't believe that it was marked $9.99. The sticker fell off while I was looking around, I find it on the floor. "Ugh you JUST found that." Right.. I magically found a tiny sticker for exactly the price I said it was. So after being accused of lying they finally agree to give me store credit. Anything there $35 and under I already have or don't need. And since all that took soo long arguing with me instead of just saying "I'm sorry, there is nothing we can do but give you store credit." I got a parking ticket. The person I was with also spent $100+ that day and we would both go there for papers pipes and everything..or used to. We will not be returning (no pun intended). read more

I asked about their vocano value kit, they told me its gonna be around 120 bucks for the starter set and 40 buck a piece for the chambor and 40 bucks for the mouth piece. then when I call Pirates Cave they told me the starter set there is 85 bucks and the chambor plus the mouth piece is 40 bucks total. guess which store i went to buy my value kit. thats right Pirates Cave. Mighty Quinn's pipes are alright but their too expensive, Plus you can't barter with them about the prices like some other pipe shops. I use to like the store because of they friendly serves, but when you say some of the words like " bongs" or " hash pipes" they just plain told you " you can't buy pipes here".well I expected better from the frist pipe store in San Rafael. read more

Pretty sweet small place, priceing is high on some items but there is probably some wiggle room. Great selection of pipes accesories. Items such as ashcatchers and bowls id head to sf or berkley for but most else ive got no prob swinging by this place. I didn't spend a ton of time here, but it seemed like a fair-to-middling head shop; the service wasn't amazing but it wasn't lousy, and the prices were equally middle-of-the-road, not super cheap but a better price on the PAX 2 than we found back home in Chicago. They seemed to have a decent selection of just about everything you might want from such a store. I can't really rave about it, but I also didn't get any pushback that would cause me to give it a low rating, and whenever I think about it, I get the Hopeton Lewis cover of the Dylan song stuck in my head, and that's a good thing. read more

The guy that worked there today around noon was pretty rude and argumentative to my friends and I. One of my friends was asked to leave because she was underage, totally understandable. Asked her to leave two times before she could even get her ID back in her wallet. Whatever. We started walking around and talking about volcano prices. He kept insisting my volcano wasn't the real thing since I got it over 200$ cheaper at another shop. He started getting personal and offensive about it. Type to need to have the last word. Then when we were leaving, our underage friend was confused because the sign posted outside says, "Must be over 18 with valid ID to enter." She was 20 and had a valid California ID. This dude felt it was necessary to come outside and smugly parent her on the definition of valid ID-which apparently is only a med card. Then he let out a condescending laugh. Idk, they lost four loyal customers in a matter of ten minutes, I can only imagine how many other customers he could have turned away. Cool shop though, I just think management should take a look at how their employees conduct their customer service. read more
