Yummmm! Another great boba spot popped up near my home! I don't have to drive far for a midnight (milk) tea or oolong milk tea anymore! I could even go for a nice, long walk from home or Blaisdell Park if I wanted to! Yup, another S7 with the same drink-ice cream roll-trinket shop format. Hubby and I accidentally found this location on our way to Shiro's Saimin for lunch two weekends ago. We were so excited knowing our Aiea neighborhood has increasing options for good boba! They started off as cash only, but that didn't stop us! From my experience, S7 locations vary in quality; some better than others. I wanted to give this neighborhood S7 a chance, so I ordered my baseline S7 drink, the midnight tea. The drink was just as tasty as Pearl City's! The Kunia location seemed to have missed with this one and other milk teas. Hubby ordered the Yike Tea (pronounced "ee-kuh). I couldn't tell what the flavor profile was supposed to be. On another day, hubby and I came by for lunch at Pho Five-O (Catania was closed for a private party ): ) and once again, S7 "dragged" us in! I used to enjoy Pearl City and Wahiawa's Fire Oolong/Oolong Milk Tea Creamy, but Kunia's wasn't as fresh, and as I get older, I don't get into rich drinks as my 18 y/o self used to, so I ordered the regular oolong milk tea with 50% sweetness. Hubby ordered a jasmine milk tea at 25% sweetness. I guess my drink was that good that hubby accidentally drank more than half when I Iet him hold my cup! Almost a week later, I'm still craving the oolong and jasmine flavors! Boba was till cooked well and slightly sweet. Now for the elephant in the room...yes, Waimalu now has two boba shops. I think they each have something unique to offer, and both are worth visiting, depending on what you're craving. Tea Spot = fresh fruit drinks and soufflé pancakes S7 = milk teas I go to specific boba shops for specific drinks. If I'm craving dessert-y, richer boba drinks, S7 hits the spot. If the Aiea staff is the same as the Pearl City staff, then they definitely improved since my first few visits four years ago. Kudos and congrats, S7! This new S7 location grand opening was last Friday, 30 June! And safe to say, it's just as good as it's other locations with an additional menu item of ice cream rolls! You can really hear them work hard at chopping up the ice cream to make the rolls nice and smooth. Definitely an easier location for those living in Pearl City or in Aiea with ample parking. Opens 1030, closes 2100. Some of my favorites include Midnight Tea, their Honeydew Smoothie, Aloha Taro, Taro Coconut Smoothie, etc. It really depends on your mood, they got something for everyone. You can alter your sweetness level and there are so many toppings to choose from! This is a business located where other Asian restaurants are. After eating some banh mi and pho we decided to get something sweet. Luckily we found this place. My favorite was the waffle ice cream. The waffle has a good taste. I also tasted the creme brulee boba and ube smoothie. Service was lacking. Nobody greeted as we walked in. The cashier spoke so soft it was hard to hear her through her mask. I had to ask her to repeat herself multiple times . We ordered Thai tea with boba and original bubble waffle. The bubble waffle was perfectly sweet. The Thai tea however was lacking overall. It just tasted like plain milk tea. Was sad when the Aeia location closed by WalMart! So i was excited when I saw them open a new location! Wow!! This spot is amazing! Free parking along with sine other local favorite spots!! I ordered the midnight tea, my favorite!!! Always so perfect with the best boba I have had in Oahu! My girls were excited to try the roll up ice cream and were nervous since they are very picky eaters! Yes even with dessert!! One of my girls ate it all up and the other one said it wasn't sweet enough for her so I ended up eating it. I would say I could have it a bit sweeter but that's just me!! I love my sweetness! I wish we could suggest sweetness level on that. Service was amazing as always! Everyone was very cheerful and welcoming. Came back to get my usual, large midnight tea. I was driving as I was drinking my drink and was realizing that I wasnt getting a lot of boba. Finally came home, opened up my drink and saw that the boba was clumped together AGAIN! I came here a month ago and this was the same problem. It's pretty annoying and disappointing. They got the brûlée cheese foam right this time. But the boba?! How can I enjoy my drink with clumps of boba. Live nearby but never gone into this place until today. I heard a faint hello when I stepped in. Stopped by to purchase a gift card. I told the person who helped me that it was my first time there. She appeared nonchalant instead of eager to sell me a gift card. It made me think I couldn't be heard clearly behind my mask. She asked someone else to help me without explaining anything but left me in limbo. The second person rang up my gift card sale and that was that. I was excited when I found out they were moving to Waimalu! Literally a couple minutes from me. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing.... I am reluctant to say I've been frequenting here since they opened. There's lots of good eats in the area. Now with this place up and running, there's a great place for dessert. They have more than enough choices to satisfy your cravings. They offer ice cream rolls, milk teas, smoothies, yogurt tea, fruit teas, cheese teas, and crack seeds. I always have a good experience with there customer service at this location. They are cordial, and they get orders out in a timely matter. The layout seems bigger than the previous one in Pearl City. So lots of seating available and it's still spacious. Pricing is decent, for two drink or two orders of ice cream rolls, I usually spend no more than $14. They also have a point system via Clover. For each 100 points, is $5 off. They also offer stationary, toys and house hold items. It's fun to be browse through. Some items would be good to give as gifts. read more

S7 Icy continues to serve one of my favorite drink orders: matcha smoothie with azuki bean and 0% sweetness. This is one of the few bubble tea locations that uses quality matcha, which is a main reason why I can order drinks without any sweetness! Matcha flavor is prominent, but not bitter, and the azuki bean adds a subtle sweetness. Great service both in-person and via Uber Eats, and I haven't been disappointed even after ordering numerous times! Another go-to fave is the oreo smoothie. Would highly recommend! read more
