This place is just the average diner. You know, the one with ads for plastic surgery on the same page as the appetizers menu. If you're looking for cheap food and friendly service, look no further. I had the swiss burger with french fries and it was great, but nothing defined from, say, a TGI Friday's. I have to say, the service is excellent. I went on a date with my boyfriend to this place and our waiter, Larry, was so friendly and talkative. Just received my order from this diner. For starters judging on the freshness of the food I think the health department would probably shut them down!!! Now just for starters HOW DOES A DINER NOT KNOW HOW TO COOK A FRENCH FRY!!!!! All the orders I got that came with fries WERE RAW POTATOE!!!!! Secondly fries with cheese and gravy well MY 2 yr old could make it better they took 1 slice of cheese AND DIDN'T EVEN MELT IT!!! AND IT WAS AMERICAN CHEESE NOT MOZZARELLA!!!! The chicken walnut spinach salad well the chicken was raw and the blue cheese was cooked to a soup my gag reflex acted immediately!!! The Texas style deluxe was basically cardboard chicken again uncooked American cheese rocks for bacon and NO BBQ SAUCE!!!! The banana cream pie well we all know bananas oxidize BUT THEY WERE BLACK AND SOUR!!!!! Me and my family could not finish our dinner which ran me over $100 and decided to give it to our dogs so at least someone would eat it AND THEY REFUSED TO EAT IT!!!! Decided to give millennium a try on my way to work. The waiter indeed had no idea about the menu, but he was attentive to refills and gave me updates on my order without me asking. Food was average- I ordered the eggs benedict and it wasn't terrible or mind blowing. Wished it was cooked a little bit more because it still had raw white in it. Overall, mediocre diner. I'm sorry, but I don't get all the bad reviews. It's a diner. We had two complete dinner specials, and they were both quite tasty and portions were enormous. We have enough for at least a whole extra meal. And the flavors were good. Very heavy, but that's what you expect at a diner. Huge dessert selection, as well, which didn't disappoint. While it seems like this place has had a poor history of service, I have to admit that I had a pretty great time here. The interior is well furnished and clean, and the lox eggs benedict I got was great -- eggs were poached just right, and their hollandaise was flavorful without being too strong. The home fries and milkshake that accompanied were also prepared just right for my tastes. No hairs to be found anywhere!! Fantastic place. I'm there every Friday night and always greeted with a warm welcome!. The staff especially Susan and Jovana are always courteous and friendly to me. The meals are always tasty and the service is just plain ole "perfection". I used to bring my parents here and they loved it. We ate an early dinner last night at the millennium around 5:30. The place was very busy so we were seated immediately. There was some obvious confusion by the wait staff as to who's table we were seated at so we waited a short time for the children to work it out. When our order was taken our food arrived quickly and correctly. Portions were a good size and the food was tasty. No complaints there. The place could use a face lift, it was clean but a little dated. It may be time for the "new millennium". read more

I'm not sure why there are such low reviews for the Millennium Diner. I've been coming here for years when I head back to Long Island to visit for a weekend and I've never had an issue with the food or the service. In fact, since I find that this is a superior diner, I've come back. Anyway, I usually order some sort of breakfast food at the Millennium, either late at night or during a normal breakfast hour. I enjoy their western omelet and their home fries, so that's my usual go-to meal when I dine here. Certainly check out the Millennium Diner. read more

Had dinner at Smithtown Millenium Diner last on 8/16/19 at 8pm. Food was a crime against the senses. Steak tips, teriyaki. The rice was bathing in sauce loke a soup. The veggies were way overcooked and cut too large. The soup was like a paste with the contents limp and uninteresting. Stuffed clam in aluminum shell was awful and the dessert was stale and not edible. Assuming it is pre-made from a bakery, they managed to ruin that too. The mens room looked like an e-bola experiment. Neighborhood and customers deserve much better. Worst experience ever. Ripped off. read more

It was a Western Omelette, so I wasn't expecting a gooey mess, but what kind of omelette doesn't have any cheese? That's not an omelette. Wow, finally a Diner with great food an extensive menu and top notch service!! I started with the french onion soup and I was very pleased. The broth was perfect just enough swiss cheese and the rest just melted in your mouth. For my main course I chose the broiled stuff sole. Now I have had this over and over at other diners and everytime it was a let down. It was either over cooked or flooded with butter. At Millennium it was very good, the sole was cooked perfect and I ate every last bite. Ok, I can't lie I took a piece of there Baklava home for a late night snack and boy o boy did that hit the spot. We visited Millennium Diner in Smithtown 2 nights in a row. The first night we had desert & it was very good. The second evening we dined with another couple & had dinner. The dinner was exceptional, very well prepared, & lots of it (we had to take it home). Our waitress, Laura, was very helpful in suggesting what was available. She was professional, pleasant & friendly. She even laughed at our silly jokes. She was easy going & always available for anything we needed. Have been going here for a few years and it has been in decline for a while. Last ordered Yankee Pot Roast, and while eating the potato pancake noticed something black in the it. Called one of the owners over and he took it into the kitchen and returned and said it was spices (parsley?). I didn't believe him and opened the whole thing up and it had a large area of black. This could have been mold or who knows what else. Spoke to him again and was told the same thing. This was our last visit. Fortunately I spotted this before I ate it. I know it's just a diner, but it was the worst experience we've ever had at a diner. Saturday afternoon 2:45 NOT busy at all. We ordered a cheeseburger deluxe, bacon cheese omelette and a grilled cheese with tomato and bacon. It took 35 minutes before our order came and when we asked the waitress what happened she said she put the order in and when she went back to check on it, the guys/cooks had not started cooking it. When we asked for the owner, he didn't have the balls to come and apologize. He sent the manager to let us know that the grill cheese would be on the house. Where do I even Begin... I ordered a dinner that came with everything, Appetizer, Soup or salad, Steak,veggie, potato, glass of wine and desert... How bad could a simple plain steak be? Boy was I wrong...The appetizer was ok, the soup was horrible, (that should have been my first indication the meal was going to bad), the bread the waiter brought to the table was stale. As far as my main meal, my Steak was not only cold, but from the first bite something just didn't taste right so I took a sip of my soda to cleanse my mouth and tried it again, still it had that bad odd taste..... I had both my husband and sister try a piece only to figure out that It was old meat...I was so grossed out and nauseous... Called the waiter over and explained the problem, I told him that I didn't want it... He spoke to the manager and came back and asked me if I would like something else, (Really I'm not eating another thing from this place I said to myself), to which I responded no thank you and he said are you sure because we are still going to charge you for the steak because its an expensive piece of meat so you might as well get something else.... I was enraged, (REALLY after serving me bad old meat I'm still going to pay for this)? No mgr came over, no apology was given, my food wasn't taken off the bill, mind you it was barely touched and none of the sides were eaten.... We barely made it home, I live 5 min's. away, and ran into the bathroom sick as a dog!!! Sick all night and the majority of the next day... Finally at 5:45 PM the next day I was able to eat some crackers and drink some warm ginger ale...I think The Board of Health needs to pay a visit to The Millennium Diner We definitely won't be returning to this place!!!! read more

Just went for lunch and i dont think i have ever had the worst meal. The coffee was burnt. Water was not refilled once. Waitress only checked in once. Fries not cooked all the way through. The avocado was gray, tomato one step away from rotten and the capers were so overcooked it almost broke my tooth. Im speaking of the Chipolte Panini. My husband ordered bagel all the way. He had to ASK for the onions and olives as they were not on plate, and when they were, it was WHITE onion. Tomatoes were horrible, the peppers dry. The hostess was friendly and the nicest part of the place. Waitress seemed distracted and i felt like i was bothering her when i asked for extra napkins. There are quite a few choices for breakfast in Smithtown, all good, but Millennium Diner is our favorite. They cook eggs perfectly, their hash browns are spectacular, the coffee is great, and the service staff is very fast, and so thoughtful and friendly. All in all, our favorite diner. read more

Just horrible horrible horrible !!!! DO NOT GO HERE !!! Not only did my waitress tell me that my finances burger was a "bison burger deluxe" but she told me that it was just a "really big burger" she then brought out a burger that looked exactly like mine ( I got the twin cheeseburger deluxe) we all know the bison burger is a slightly larger and meatier burger than the norm here and this lady was in the effing clouds!!! When it came time to pay she charged us $4 extra for a meal I didn't get !! Ugh anyway after tellin her that we were not happy the manager asked us "did he eat the burger?" Umm yeah he did !!! You told him it was the bison burger !!! Of corse he's gonna eat what he ordered and especially after we had the waitress tell us that in fact yes this is the bison burger she charged me for a twin bison burger deluxe!! So I finally pay the bill and left no tip for her ... After reviewing my account online I saw that they put a $4 tip on my card!!!!!! I went back to the diner to confront the manager (who was an old Greek man who could barely speak English) told me that that's not possible what we put on the recipes was what we put the bill thru for ... So I said "what makes you think that the waitress and the "manager" on duty that night didn't add to the bill when they were settling the bills that night??" He replied " no cuz it would say it on the receipt" UM NOOOO IT WOULDNT !!! They are shady people !!! And I will never ever ever go here ever again !!!
