I haven't been here in a long time and was concerned about some of the negative reviews. My cousin booked a room for a birthday party for my Aunt. When we arrived the parking lot was packed. I forgot December is there busiest time of year and they do a great job creating a festive atmosphere. Once we parked we walked to the village. Beautifully decorated and restored and they added a bar/snack room addition at the end of the village. What a difference from a few years ago. The original owners let things go and some of the buildings were starting to deteriorate. They also increased the peacock/pheasant community. They are very friendly and walk around the village along with visitors. Bakery still makes the original breads and cinnamon loaf and pastries that we used to get years ago. After visiting the village we headed to the restaurant. Our room was on the second floor, the "Office Room". It was very roomy and adjacent to another room where the bar was set up. That room was a great spot for the kids to run around and have some fun instead of sitting at tables all night. Food and service was much better than expected. Again I had low expectations based on some of the reviews. Maybe the buffets and holiday events are not the same but we all enjoyed our meals and the staff was accommodating and very helpful with special requests such as gluten free options. I would recommend going here with family or couples but be patient during December since it does get very crowded. read more

The WORST dining experience I have ever had! I was yelled at by staff in front of other customers, which was extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable. After a horrendous meal, my brother took my young son to the restroom. He was approached by an employee who asked how our dinner was, and my brother told him the truth. It was cold, took over an hour and a half to arrive and the waitress forgot to input my dinner completely. My brother expressed that he was disappointed, rightfully so, we all were. I guess this employee has no skills in handling feedback as he then cursed at my brother and called him a "f**king a$$hole". In front of my son. My brother was shocked at the response and quickly sent my son out to my parents who were waiting outside. This employee, a manager named "Joe" was aggressively getting in my brothers space. As if to fight him...I the middle of a restaurant filled with families! I asked my brother to leave it alone and at that point "Joe" turned his aggression towards me. He began shouting at me that my brother came there that night looking for trouble...I honestly had no idea what he was even talking about. He was irate and shouting in my face. It was beyond embarrassing and frightening! As I went to leave another manager "Pepe" intervened and put his hands on me to tell me to calm down. I was never shouting! I quickly turned and exited the restaurant and was followed out by yet another manager. He apologized profusely and said "I know there's nothing I can even say to make you ever come back" ...right about that! The food is atrocious, the wait staff is overwhelmed, and the management is abusive. We came here for my children's birthday as it was a place I held dear to my heart growing up. It is nothing but a shell of that. The owners should be ashamed. There is nothing redeeming about this restaurant and I hope it finds new owners soon or I fear it will be destroyed forever. read more

I had lunch at The Milleridge Inn today and was extremely disappointed. The food was inedible. I had 4 bites and couldn't wait to get home and brush the taste out of my mouth! Their signature dish, the pot roast, was burnt, the string beans were frozen not fresh and the mash potatoes were the instant box kind! And, it all tasted a few days old. What an absolute disaster. The flyers and pics online looks NOTHING like it was on Octoberfest. The ONLY things the was looked festive was me. Was looking forward to a lovely festive evening to celebrate my work family earlier this month and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing... we waited for over 90 mins for our meal, with that it arrived cold and missing some accompaniment... wait staff was very negligent, did not offer to refill our drink order nor supply simple cutlery.... The quality was subpar at best and the overall experience extremely negative.... With 6:45 dinner reservations we were hopeful that we would be out in time to visit the Christmas shops before closing at 9 PM ...highly unlikely when our meal was not served until after 8:30. Yes, it's lovey (a bit run down) at Christmas. Yes, the staff is pleasant and accommodating. And yes, the food is underwhelming and overpriced. A group of us have been going at Christmas for many years and have watched this once highlight of the season go downhill faster than a bobsled. The $34. Musket Milanese is a very dried overcooked breaded chicken cutlet hidden under a bunch of greens. The famous burger for $27. was reportedly just ok. Revere's Seared Salmon, $34 looked like it was cooked and reheated. We were offered 2 choices for dessert, cheesecake or 7 layer cake. I said that's it? What happened to apple pie or strudel, formerly a mainstay. Our waiter said he would check. He did come back with the strudel that was 'found in a basement kitchen'. I'm guessing the waitstaff was told to push the cheesecake and 7 layer cake. Menu says to add a scoop of ice cream for $5. There was none. The cinnamon bread was the highlight of the dinner. Very disappointed today at the Milleridge Inn. Had to send the soup back because it was tepid--and then the Turkey Gumbo was annoyingly spicy. There were 5 of us including my 96 year old mom. The entrees were okay except for the vegetables--had to send back string beans from the pot roast and strip steak as they were not sautéed at all, nearly raw. By the time they were returned to us, most of the meat and potatoes were finished. Coffee was okay but served with 2 tiny milk pitchers that barely covered 2 of the 4 cups of coffee ordered. The 7 layer cake was dismal. Requests for to-go trays were made 3 times. Finally, the men's room was flooded and the ladies room has No ADA placards on the door. Had to wait to see which one was compliant. Very sad--always looked forward to this special weekend with the family. The capper was my sister who made the reservation received a text about missing our reservation even though we were seated 15 minutes ahead of time! She sent back a copy of our dinner check! we were there for the thanksgiving buffett at the cottage house 2025. when we walked in the place was packed and you actually had to fight your way around. so we go to our table whaich had a dirty table cloth which was from the people who were there before us. also the water glasses were full that also had to be there from previous guests had to ask our server for new water. lets get to the buffett area. the food imo totally sucked. boiled turkey nothing to carve ham was dry as a desert. the best was the stuffing it was literally stove to stuffing poured straight from the box into the chaffing dish. (are you kidding me! ) the stacked plates for the buffet were dirty so you had to rummage to find a clean one. my wife asked for a glass of wine when she received i,t the glass was dirty and sticky so we immediatly asked the serve to remove it. i am no food expert but i know good food when i see and eat it. . this food was not good at all. never again never! there is better food at a soup kitchen. this place was one of the worse establishments we have ever encountered for a thanksgiving. besides the $85 per head. we left after nibbling on a few things and decided to go to insignia steak house whach was awesom . the miller ridge inn is not what it used to be and is now an establishment that cares more about money than serving quality food and good service. read more

Great service, nice varied menu, excellent food. The ambiance / atmosphere is unique, with the theme of historical American Revolutionary War. Drinks were delicious. So was the food. The table got a small loaf of delicious cinnamon bread and they also brought us popovers. For appetizers, we had salmon bites and cauliflower bites. For dinner, we had ""Woodhull's Lasagna" lasagna covered in puff pastry and "Martha Washington's Meatloaf" meatloaf with mashed potatoes and corn ribs. I wish I took pictures of the food. So expensive now I have not been back since they changed owners years ago. I would go about 4-5 times a year with friends, family and volunteers-workers for different occasions. We loved the fact that appetizer (some with an up-charge) and desert came with your meal. It also was previously more reasonable. Sorry. I can't see spending this type of money on my dinner. I will never ever plan a celebration with this place again. I decided to book my upcoming celebration with someone else. Milleridge Inn has a person named Amanda who handles the bookings and details for whatever you're booking. Talk about rude and not made to deal with people looking for a happy celebration. Her non-caring attitude puts a damper on it. It could be a personality disorder. She is out and out rude to prospective customers. She is never there when you call. If you happen to have a question there is no one else who could or is allowed to answer. If you plan on booking for a wedding, stay away. You will most likely experience a nervous breakdown waiting for a return phone call. I live in Jericho and have been coming here for over 20 years and have celebrated many birthdays and other occasions here. Never again. It's not what it used to be. Then after time passes no cobb salad left redo orders again after time passes the reorder of truffle mac is not available. Then settle on a ceasar salad with shrimp it was wet and not ceasar and shrimp had no flavor at all. The server said we would be sent a bottle of wine .. never saw it. And i asked for a manager to come over since it was 3 times redo and no a manager never came over. Forget about us planning next year or any other holiday event . Yes there's lobster but it's cold and tough Shrimp were delicious and nice size and clean We didn't come in late- it's held till 3:30. There's were no waffles and no smoked salmon. Can't say I'll ever come back here. This review is for the café specifically. They had a menu out on the counter which we were looking at. A man in front of us (who I assume works there) ordered French Toast off that menu. My son wanted the waffles. We were next to order and we got told by the female cashier with an attitude that we can't order from that menu, they aren't serving breakfast, and we could only order from the list of about 6 things up on the sign above us. A few min later the man received his French Toast and syrup. The food came out pretty quick. But our BLTs were dry and had no mayo on the side or on it. I had to ask for some and they gave me a pretty much empty bottle of mayo. The sign also stated that all sandwiches come with cole slaw, none came with ours. When we asked for some we were told they didn't have any, that's something that should have been mentioned when ordering. The floors were filthy. I get that they're very busy for the holiday season and have a lot of foot traffic, but some effort to clean the place would be nice. It's sad when places like this feel they can lack on quality and service cus know they'll be busy no matter what since they're a holiday touristy spot. And they very obviously don't care about their reviews. I also don't care if the man before us was an employee, that is terrible customer service to openly accept his order for breakfast and then tell us as we are right behind him we can't order breakfast. Don't waste your money or time taking family to this dishonest restaurant. We took our family of 10 for a Christmas dinner on December 8, 2024. I had to give them $100. deposit for the reservation. Right there I should of realized what restaurants want money up front for a reservation. The restaurant had renovations done which I really didn't notice it looked like the same old restaurant from years ago. Four of us ordered filet mignon dinner and each receive over cooked meat. The potato souffle wasn't cooked enough and the brussel sprouts were raw. I finally asked my daughter if her potatoes and brussel sprouts were cooked and she said no. The waitress never came over to see if we were happy with our dinners. I asked a wait staff to get our waitress. She finally came over and offered mashed potatoes instead of the undercooked souffle. By this time everyone finished there filet mignon and it was too late for replacements. The bus boy handing out the meals gave the regular cheeseburger to a 5 year old and the children's burger to the 15 year old. We waited so long for the meals the 15 year old started eating her burger. So we paid $27.00 for a 5 year old children's burger. The waitress apologized when bringing the bill because she knew how bad the service was. I called the next day to complain to the management and never received a call back after three attempts for one. I finally disputed the $508. plus $100. on the reservation to my Visa company. After the first dispute they said they left messages on my answering machine and I never called them back. Well then I sent my phone records to show their number was never registered as calling me back. They are liars and cheats so beware and just stay away from this old mismanaged restaurant. We were there for St Patty's Day in March...fabulous as always. Dec 1st!!!!! so horrid I cant even say. It was disgusting. Food was inedible... we had reservations for 12:30 did not get seated for 20 plus minutes... yet plenty of tables open tables in the "bar room". We always ate in main area...which is now open only to dinner patrons. Food (osso bucco: supposed to be slow braised lamb shank with rosemary, au jus, sautee of wild mushrooms & creamy polenta)) so bad we sent back. Came with a 3 different shapes and sizes of bones, some kind of shredded meat (not lamb) no rosemary and no mushrooms; all atop the gravy which was mixed with the soupy polenta. We sent back and ordered the Poutine. I regret not taking photo for "Lamb Osso Bucco" POUTINE ( which we had asked our waitress what she would suggest) supposed to be shredded short rib, fried potatoes, cheese & brown gravy ..which ended up being a huge plate of BURNT french fries... smelled burnt and looked disgusting and inedible. See photo! They need new hostess and a chef! I don't know who was cooking but by no means of chef or anyone who could cook. Very nasty unpleasant hostess/ says she's manager lol not. We ended up being charged for the more expensive osso bucco with "soupy polenta"...which we never ate. Don't know where the manager was nor who is actually running this establishment anymore. To be charged for what we never ate is most unacceptable! All was inedible...we ate only the soup and shared bottle of wine ..nothing else. Beautiful decorations as always but only good thing I can say. DO NOT RECOMMEND! To top it off lol RYAN D....no such person at Milleridge inn replied to my 5 star review back in 2017 when this was a class act place to go to. I went to this place for my cousins baby shower. The baby shower was during the month of December so everything was decorated beautifully. It was really crowded with people waiting for tables to have lunch or celebrate whatever occasion they were celebrating. I arrived at 2pm and was shown to the room where the baby shower was being held. There was a little bit of an issue with staff sending guests to the wrong room and my cousin had to go to the front and remind them what room they needed to send the guests too. Apparently even after my cousin informed them they still kept doing the same thing. The decor of the place is absolutely beautiful I have to say. At exactly 2 pm they started bringing the salad out. On the table was one plate with cinnamon bread, some muffins and a few fruit tarts. There was a bowl out butter packets as well. The menu was on the table at each place setting. I opted for the steak as my choice. The bar was open bar on wine, beer and mimosas and soda. The reason why I'm giving only 3 stars is because after a while we were hungry after the salad and asked for bread and the server said she would ask. She came back after 10 minutes saying "there is no more." I was a bit annoyed because what establishment doesn't put bread on the table? We waited for the food to arrive and when it did it was actually very tasty and the meat was cooked to the perfect temptation thankfully- because skirt steak can be tough if overcooked. When we were eating I noticed my uncle asked for bread as well and I'm guessing they told him the same thing. Dessert was cake that had a chocolate cream inside and they also served coffee. This place is great, as a venue and a restaurant. The atmosphere in general is great, very warm, cozy and that ol timey feel. This place was built in the 1600s, older than our country (1776 for those who don't know) . The food has a very classic feel to it and is very heavy and hearty. The cookies and baked goods OMG!!! Everything is baked in house, one of the best cannoli cakes I have ever had ! There is a small village with. Shops , including a bakery , on site that is very cool. I've been visiting the Milleridge Village since I was a kid and I still love it there. However, my family and I attended the Octoberfest event this year and it was a mixed experience. We are German and have had plenty of German food in the past. We ordered potato pancakes and a hot pretzel as our appetizer. My mom was so annoyed by the small size and poor quality of the potato pancakes and underneath it, wilted lettuce. They gave my dad an extra appetizer on the house so he got the beets, he liked it. My pretzel was fine- one you could make in the toaster at home. We were worried how our actual meals were going to be after seeing the appetizers, BUT the meals were delicious. I had the goulash- it was perfect. The meat fell apart, which is a good thing. My parents loved their dish, but the dumplings were so small. Our dessert was black forest cake, it was ok, and apple strudel which was fantastic (warm and tasty). read more

When the waitress came to the table she said nothing of the desserts just asked if anyone wanted coffee or tea. Gave two seconds to decide then said no ok and left. Our table was completely confused. Then she comes back to take the order after we asked for our desserts. Brings them in to go packaging leaves them on the table then says no rush take your time. Were we supposed to open all the to go packaging at the table? Then what have to coffee or tea to go with anything. Owners did nothing after being told how rude the service was. The ambiance is outdated, cheap, and just a shell to hide everything that is wrong with this place. Not to mention the village. It's terrible!! From the candy shoppe to general store everything is filled with cheap overpriced junk. Safe to say I will never be going back to this outdated dump. I'd rather spend triple the price and drive a mile further to go to rothmann's steakhouse. Much better food and service. Awful service, food, and atmosphere!!!! Made a reservation on November 14th for a party of three for Christmas Eve. (About $300 not refundable. ) Took 45 minutes to be seated. My 90 year old mom was sitting on her rollator while we waited. We inquired two times after our initial checkin. We were finally seated in an ugly back room - it was dismal. My husband and I ordered the prime rib - it was inedible. My mother ordered turkey. They ran out of gravy. So it was so dry. They also ran out of the soup she ordered. Then we ordered dessert. 27 minutes later the waiter returned. They ran out of everything we ordered. He gave us two pieces of cake and told my husband he could have ice cream. Worst experience ever. I called a couple days after I initially made my reservation for Mother's Day to add on one more person, and the hostess on the phone sounded as though she couldn't find my reservation even after I /very/ clearly gave all my information (to avoid a situation like that in the first place). That's when I should have known this was bad. But I gave it the benefit of the doubt, I've heard good things about this place through word of mouth. I instead should have instead listened to the most recent reviews of this place on Yelp. Having a reservation at 2pm for dinner for 4 people and showing up on time, the wait time was still 35 minutes. We saw about 4-5 parties of the same size who arrived after us get seated before us. Honestly the hosting staff seemed all over the place. We rarely saw our waitress, and even when we did she would forget things. Surprisingly, a prix fix dinner took 2 1/2 hours. Service was slow, we spent a majority of our time at the table with nothing in front of us. The staff was the biggest issue tonight. And when we left the restaurant, the amount of people in the lobby waiting to be seated was atrocious. Had to be about 60 people. The food was also mediocre at best. Appetizer was choice of soup or salad. I had a basic salad with more dressing than salad on top. I had prime rib with what seemed like canned green beans and very sad mashed potatoes. Dessert I chose was the 7 layer cake, which was like an entemanns vanilla cake with chocolate frosting that had Hershey's chocolate syrup thrown on top. Overall, very disappointing meal. We decided to try something new this year for Mother's Day, and that was a mistake. read more
