Came for a holiday lunch with my office. The place was super packed and busy. We had a reservation so we were seated fairly quickly. The place was fully decorated for the Christmas season. The server was polite but you could tell he was slammed with all the tables he was attending too. I feel he did his best to be present when he tte des to us. The food was mediocre. I had the French onion soup. It was not the best I have ever had. I would not order it there again. One of my colleagues had the potato leek spud and he enjoyed that. We got some cinnamon bread which was yummy would have Ben nice it it was warm when brought out. There were these bread calls popovers tbat is supposedly something they are known for but I found it to just be eggy and missing salt. Went for dinner on a Saturday night with 5 guests and I have to honestly say it is the worst food on long Island and possibly in all of NY State. Then as a great finish to the night ,we asked for decade coffee about 8;30 on a Saturday night and we're told straight up no , I am not making it by the waiter. A year ago I gave the Milleridge a raving review. Also at Christmas,as this was always the place we would celebrate special occasions, even got married there. Been going there for over 50 years.Unfortunately I have to give it a horrible review this year. There won't be anymore reviews by me as I will not be returning. My family and I had reservations during Christmas week when they are supposed to have the carolers. We waited for 45 minutes to be seated. We were seated in the middle of chaos! No room to move your chair out from table,, couldn't hear yourself speak. Waitress came and took drink orders and at the same time said we were missing the page with the "Specials" from our menu. She never returned. We were never served bread, no popovers and no carolers in sight. My husband went back to girl that sat us and explained the situation and asked to change our table. The girl responded that we should have expected this! They changed our table to another room by a service area and an outside door. It was freezing! We sat there waiting and no service! At the same time we saw a waitress walking with someone else's drinks all frustrated as if overworked, let's out a big breath of air which enables her saliva to spray to spread amongst the tray of drinks she was carrying! At that point we got up from our table and left! Horrendous! FYI : we did save the evening and had a wonderful dinner at The Mill Creek Tavern in Bayville . They definitely know how to run a restaurant. Treat their customers with respect and serve delicious food! read more

We reserved an Igloo outside the Carriage House for Sunday brunch. FANTASTIC!! Our own private world!! They say 8 adults - we were 6, and 3 kids (14, 8, and 5) and fit fine. And the little ones could go outside and blow off steam, within eyesight... a bonus! It was delightfully warm inside, with 2 heat sources you can control yourself. The specialty cocktails are terrific, and the brunch had a few 'unlimited' cocktail selections. Every food item we ordered was GREAT. We were lucky enough to have it start to snow toward the end of our stay... PURE MAGIC. I recommend this 100% as a unique and memorable exoerience. I dined here with family on May 28, 2023 for the brunch buffet. The Milleridge Inn is located in Jericho on Long Island, New York, surrounded by a small village of shops. There's a lot of history to this place. The main part of the building was built back in the 1670s! As soon as you step foot in the Milleridge Inn, you'll feel like you stepped back in time. You'll immediately notice the colonial decor and many of the dishes at the buffet table reflects the colonial time period, although some of the dishes are more modern. The buffet has a pretty large and diverse spread everything from your typical breakfast staples like eggs, bacon sausage, salmon, waffles and quiche to chilled seafood bar, salad bar, carving station and a variety of desserts. There are servers who walk around with bread baskets. The service here is top notch. I knocked odd a star because it's pricey. It's about $65/per person. I don't really consume a lot of food in one sitting so I didn't feel like it was worth it. If you're someone who devours buffets; then Milleridge is for you. We attended a wedding, and a reception serving cocktails, appetizers and dinner. The staff were attentive and amazing earning 5 stars. The appetizers were good. Main course prime rib was well seasoned, but vegetables had way too much oil. People who had the Mahi Mahi were not thrilled and stated that it tasted like it was previously frozen and was extra dry. None of the four at our table finished theirs. Those with the chicken advised it was fine. I came here the other night for dinner and it was a cute spot. Milleridge dates back to 1672. There are several historic stories about George Washington staying here. There are also some stories about how this use to be an underground bootlegging operation in the 1920's. Sure, maybe these are unverified, but it definitely adds to the appeal. The interior gets decked out with Holiday decor. We came early February, so of course the place was decorated in a gorgeous Valentine's Day Theme. They do have a bunch of cute shops outside that are simply gorgeous. It's perfect for bringing people around the Holidays. My SO tried the roasted chicken with carrots and I had the Lamb Osso Bucco. I have to say, the shanks were cooked so tenderly that they were following off the bone. Combined with their creamy, savory polenta. This was excellent. The roasted chicken was a bit dry unfortunately. The apple strudel was delicious as well! All in all, I would come here again if it were more convenient for me. The food was great. I've been going here since I was a kid. I went today and I ordered prime rib well done. It came out with a heartbeat. It went back and came out still more pink than brown. It wasn't even medium well after the second time. I asked for a manager and I waited a half hour for the manager and they never came. It was terrible service. We went to celebrate a birthday and I was embarrassed that I had made the suggestion. I thought we would go and feel festive will all the decoration but the service was so horrible. Drinks did not come, then finally two drinks came out of seven that were ordered. An INCREDIBLY disappointing evening that was meant to celebrate two birthdays. We waited an hour for our drinks to arrive. Then another hour for our food. Every dish was cold, the soda was flat, the calamari had a rubber texture. In the small area we were seated in, THREE tables returned their food for being cold and all decided to leave rather than wait longer for the dishes to be heated up. Go anywhere else but here. Went New Year's Eve for the price fix menu...not realizing we had option otherwise. No matter the food was very good until we got to dessert. My husband took one bite out of his dessert and I noticed something hanging. Turned out to be a very long hair that had apparently been stuck to the icing. He spit everything out and flagged down the waitress. She didn't seem to phased and offered him a replacement dessert which he of course declined. Honestly I expected her to report it to a manager and to make some sort of concession. Another dessert wasn't going to cut it since we just found a long hair in it. I found that very odd because any other place would have offered us something, a coupon, money off the bill, something. No manager coming to apologize. I went with friends a week before Christmas and was expecting to see some old favorites on the menu. Instead, the offerings were a step above The Cracker Barrel. No dinner specials were available either, I was very disappointed to say the least. Drinks took 25 minutes, forget ordering a second round. My main course was served at room temperature. The desert options uninspired. Our waitress did her best, but she was overwhelmed. The busboys did not even understand basic instructions, completely untrained. The food is fantastic, the atmosphere is usually great, and the service is exceptional. Unfortunately, my most recent visit left me deeply disappointed, and I feel the need to share my experience in the hopes that improvements are made. I came to celebrate my six-month anniversary with my girlfriend, a reservation I made several days in advance. Emily, who assisted me over the phone, was wonderful--friendly, efficient, and made the booking process a breeze. The food was also outstanding as always. I had the pork chops, which were perfectly cooked, and swapped the Brussels sprouts for creamed spinach--a personal preference. Natalia, our server, was phenomenal and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great dining experience. Thanks to her, I'm willing to give the Milleridge Inn another chance despite the issues. Here's where the visit took a turn. We arrived at 6:58 for our 7:00 reservation and were promptly escorted inside by a hostess named Joan. While it was clear there were plenty of open tables in the main dining area, Joan seemed preoccupied with her iPad and took a while to figure out where to seat us. After standing awkwardly for a couple of minutes, she led us to a dimly lit section in the back that didn't match the ambiance we were hoping for. When I asked if we could be seated in the main dining area, where I've always dined in the past, she dismissed the request, saying, "That's for reservations only." This was baffling, as families who arrived before and after us were being seated there--despite us having made our reservation nearly a week in advance. I'm not one to jump to conclusions or assume bad intentions, but the experience felt unfair and, frankly, humiliating. It left a sour taste in what should have been a memorable evening. That said, Natalia's exceptional service and the quality of the food saved the night and convinced us to give this place another shot. I hope management addresses this issue, whether it's with Joan or the reservation system. If situations like this continue, I'll be reconsidering future visits and advising my friends and family to do the same. Where do I start? The food was absolutely horrible this past Sunday.... I ordered such a simple dish "Meatloaf" and it came out looking like they cooked it for 30 seconds. If you can picture a package of ground beef shaped like meatloaf that's what I saw. You're paying a stupid amount of money for food that is horrible. I saw my waiter when we ordered the drinks and food and not once after until it was time to pay.... If my parents weren't there I wouldn't have even left a tip because the food was disappointing. 3 people also got braised beef and that was horrible also. Bill came out to $800 with the tip... Oh yeah let me mention I still had to pay for the meatloaf I took one bite out of and literally spit it on my plate. Place went downhill and plan on never going back. read more

Breakfast with Santa - this was our last time going because every year we were more disappointed with the food. The first year we went was about eight or nine years ago & it was fabulous! they had an omlet chef and all of the food was fresh & delicious. Everything changed over the years & now the food tastes like thawed frozen food from Costco. the omlet chef is gone, the little danish are hard as a rock, the cakes & breads taste awful, the bacon is rubbery, sausages undercooked & none of the servers speak English & they don't smile either. needless to say we won't be going back. So very sad how much it went downhill, it's also obvious by how many less people go there. I heard the regular brunch in the main restaurant is fabulous. Our Mother's Day brunch experience was extremely disappointing. Giving it even one star is being generous. The buffet was poorly managed -- food quality was subpar, the selection was cheap cafeteria style low quality food, and the dining area was overcrowded, loud, and noticeably unclean. It took far too long to get anything, with dirty dishes and used glasses still on the table when we arrived. When we went to the buffet, many items had run out, and there weren't even plates available. Everything felt chaotic and poorly organized. The broken ketchup dispenser sprayed all over our clothes when we went to use it. The final straw was seeing a worm crawling across the table. We were so disgusted that we left. Even our waitress apologized, acknowledging the unacceptable experience. Given the food quality and overall environment, the brunch was wildly overpriced and should not have cost more than $20 per person. We will absolutely NOT be returning. We went to the Milleridge's Easter Brunch and it was awful. For the amount of money they charged per person, they should have had a better spread of food and at least some alcohol included. The food was disgusting, with hardly any choices and powered eggs. They had yogurt containers in an ice bucket, that was practically melted so they were just floating in water. We were seated at a table where all the glasses were filthy and instead of giving us new glasses, the staff came back with plastic cups with caps and straws for the adults. The lady blowing up balloons kept popping them so it sounded like gunshots every few minutes. This place was a RIP OFF. The Easter Bunny looked miserable just sitting on the couch, not even really interacting with children. And all the extras they have, like the bunny train, bounce houses etc, all extra. Nothing was included in this hideous experience. I would NOT recommend. For the prices they charge, it should have been a better experience. Terrible!!! read more

The martini was slamming!! No scrimping on alcohol. The staff was fantastic!! The menu may have changed and the cobwebs have been cleaned but the food is still a slightly better Swanson TV dinner. SALTY. Started with salty onion soup. Not terrible, but I wouldn't order it again. I had the short ribs which were tough and smothered in sauce. My friend had the meatloaf smothered in salty flavorless sauce with the promise that it was as good as grandmas but unfortunately not by enough to warrant a $29 price tag. All together with the martini and an Arnold Palmer, the soup and two entrees that were not eaten the price was $103.19 without tip. $20 more and we could have gone to Insignia of Smithtown for an amazing culinary experience. Too bad. We had high hopes. It's obvious the owner is still unwilling to hire an experienced and valuable chef. Two stars for the attentive staff. read more

Disappointing. The changeover of ownership has destroyed the concern for the patrons taste and the quality of food at the restaurant. A chicken pot pie for $40 is a bowl of chicken soup with a pancake of "crust" placed haphazardly over the bowl. The Half of Roast Duck??? Its 2 Duck Legs, No Breast and served with a meager amount of sides. Not only overpriced, but poorly executed and cheaply done. The Village is no longer the Holly Jolly Shopping Experience, just a money grab for the profit of the business and a "Show". We have been going to over 20 years, and were willing to give another chance this year after a terrible experience the first time we tried it with the new ownership...and after 4 years nothing has improved. Shameful. On a Positive note though our server, Christine, was amazing. I hope she does well this Holiday Season. read more

The Milleridge Inn just isn't what it used to be. Every Easter since I was a little kid we always came here to shop and eat a great meal, today it was just a little depressing. Besides the bakery the only other shop open was the candy/toy store if you can even call it that anymore. The candy is one off items and the toy store is more like a singular shelf. My sister and mom and I were pretty disappointed the Christmas shop wasn't open as well as the ice cream parlor. We had a reservation for 230 for Easter brunch and our food was alright. I got the oven roasted turkey and French onion soup, ($7 up charge to have the soup with cheese on it...) the turkey was bland and flavorless and my potatoes were also unseasoned. The stuffing and gravy were great as well as the French onion soup and the apple strudel dessert. Our waitress was very sweet and accommodating, 1000% doing her best on a busy holiday. My mom and sister got the lamb and it was really fatty and chewy. For the amount you're paying ~$70 pp, you expect better quality, especially since it used to be so good. The highlights include the pop overs and the cinnamon bread, a staple for Milleridge Inn. Overall, it was just a very underwhelming experience, the food has 100% downgraded in quality and it's upsetting that none of the shops are ever open! I would like to see this place turn around in the future as it's a family favorite of mine and I'd hate to turn my back on it. read more

Just want to say, our waiter, Francisco, was attentive and apologetic. Had a 1 pm reservation for brunch on Mother's Day. Did not get our entree until 3pm and it was stone cold. I ordered the cinnamon bread French toast. Did not taste like French toast at all. You need to plan better. If my husband had not already pre-paid, we would have left your restaurant at the one hour mark and gone to a diner. New owners are running this Long Island institution into the ground. I will never go back to this restaurant that used to be my family's " go to" restaurant for special occasions. Also, not all of the shops were open when we finally finished. Seriously?? The Milleridge Inn is still open for business, and I recently came back here for a bridal shower in one of their party rooms upstairs at the Inn. It was pretty wild to be back here when it's not the holidays, but it still has a lovely charm and coziness to it that other establishments can't even achieve. The staff is always super helpful, friendly, and professional. The head hostess led us to the elevator or the stairs that took us up to the party room. I've never been to the upstairs before, and it's absolutely awesome! The history and feel to it is what makes this place so damn special. Take time to look at the pictures and history on the walls; you won't regret it. The space was bright, newly painted (at least so it seemed), and cheerful. The bride-to-be was in route to the shower, so since the party started at 12 noon, we wasted no time getting our bloody maries and mimosas, and our salads were served as well. There were four tables set for ten guests, so there was plenty of spacing and room to admire the room from all angles. For the main course, our choices were a grilled steak, the Milleridge chicken, grilled salmon, or eggplant rollitini. Every time I come here, I always end up with something other than the Milleridge chicken, and I made sure to get it this time. The brown gravy with mushrooms reminded me of a marsala sauce, and I was thrilled! The chicken was a deep fried spin on cordon bleu, and it was good to the last bite! Accompanied with mashed potatoes and string beans, this was a total winner winner, chicken dinner (had to do it!) in my book! The cake for the bride was a carrot cake, which was absolutely to die for, and really was a great surprise that wasn't your typical standard vanilla or chocolate cake. The story whether true or false states that elected US Presidents were there and that it was an underground bootlegging operation during the prohibition era. We chose to visit the Milleridge Inn for the Christmas holidays specifically because of their holiday spirit and we were guessing that brunch was something special at the Inn. Although this place has lovely decorations at this restaurant, their food is meh. I wasn't a big fan of their salmon. My friend got roasted duck with potatoes. It was moist. It tasted better than my salmon dish. My salmon was supposed to be honey-glazed salmon. I didn't see any honey on it, or it wasn't enough on it. The salmon was dry. I had to eat my mashed potatoes for me to eat together. The servers were very attentive and helpful at my coworker's private party. It was fun. We had a great time. I do want to come back for brunch one day. Maybe their food and drinks are much better at that time of day. I have been going here for over 35 years, it was great. Now the place is terrible. It smells of mold when you enter. We were 38 people jamed in a small roon on the second floor, and the AC didn't work. The glasses on the beverage table had lipstick and fingerprints all over them. When I complained to the wait staff, they shruged their shoulders. We had to wait 20 min for cheese for the pasta, by that time it was cold. The wait staff's english was poor. The wine was of a cheap quality, the rolls were hard. Who puts out a tiny pitcher of cream at a table for 10, all drinking coffee? By the time they got more cream the coffee was cold. I went to the ladies room towards the end of the meal, and the wait staff was cleaning the bathroom, without gloves. It was a disgrace! Stay away from that place!! read more

This year again I made reservations and waited 1 and half hours in the waiting room. By the time we got to order, they didn't have anymore pot roast, chicken pot pie, or steak. What kind of restaurant runs out of food knowing that they had reservations that night? All the food came out cold. Who wants to eat cold mac and cheese? I don't think anyone knows their your know what from their head. Is it the chefs? Is it management? I think it's all of the above. The poor waiters have to hear the complaints mean while it's not their fault. I'll never come here again. I haven't been here in a long time and was concerned about some of the negative reviews. My cousin booked a room for a birthday party for my Aunt. When we arrived the parking lot was packed. I forgot December is there busiest time of year and they do a great job creating a festive atmosphere. Once we parked we walked to the village. Beautifully decorated and restored and they added a bar/snack room addition at the end of the village. What a difference from a few years ago. The original owners let things go and some of the buildings were starting to deteriorate. They also increased the peacock/pheasant community. They are very friendly and walk around the village along with visitors. Bakery still makes the original breads and cinnamon loaf and pastries that we used to get years ago. After visiting the village we headed to the restaurant. Our room was on the second floor, the "Office Room". It was very roomy and adjacent to another room where the bar was set up. That room was a great spot for the kids to run around and have some fun instead of sitting at tables all night. Food and service was much better than expected. Again I had low expectations based on some of the reviews. Maybe the buffets and holiday events are not the same but we all enjoyed our meals and the staff was accommodating and very helpful with special requests such as gluten free options. I would recommend going here with family or couples but be patient during December since it does get very crowded. read more
