This place was awesome! I love that you can get a great meal in this small town. We went on a busy night but we got sat quickly anyway. I ordered a margarita which was very good. Great service also! My husband wasn't sure if his steak was cooked to his specifications and the waiter didn't hesitate to offer us free dessert. Even after my husband said that the steak was actually good and that the waiter didn't have to give us free dessert, he wanted to anyway! Talk about service and "the customer is always right". I can't wait to go here again with my husband on a date and leave the kids behind next time, I loved the atmosphere. read more

I cannot say enough nice things about this place. The service was excellent, and the food was off-the-charts! We started with the shrimp cocktail for appetizer and a delicious glass of the Malbec. I then ordered the pasta puttanesca with chicken. Every mouthful was a sheer delight! My companion had the pork platter which was also out of this world! We finished up with the lemon creme brulee. The Mint has returned under the new owners in the spirit of what made it great years ago. For those who don't know what this means: a hometown restaurant that offers both good burgers and upper end steak/chicken/nightly special options if you want something more. Enjoyed a great dinner with excellent service. Perfect classic "MC Burger", while others had steak options. Simple menu with a few new twists to make it fresh, reasonable drink pricing, and good wine list. Willing to accommodate dietary restrictions (wheat/dairy). read more

Wonderful Dinner last night. We were very impressed in that we must have had five different waitresses plus the owner Joe making sure we had everything we needed. My family and I went to this restaurant for a Saturday night dinner, and we loved it so much! When we first sat down, we were greeted by our lovely waiter. We ordered our drinks and had a lovely chat. They were trying out a new Shirley Temple recipe that was delightful! My husband, son, and I ate at this restaurant on a Thursday night. We ordered scampi, stroganoff, and a steak. The scampi and stroganoff were good, the steak was "really chewy". Maybe I expect too much, but a 29.00 steak should not be chewy. I knew that Thurs. nights featured live music, but I didn't expect it to be so loud that you couldn't hear the waiter or visit in a normal conversational voice with the people at your table. The service was poor. Soup came, no spoons. Steak came, no steak knife. Water glasses empty, no refill. Bill came, tip reflected service - much less than we usually leave. read more

This local place is pretty decent. My only beef with them is prices are a little on the higher end, but the food is actually pretty decent, not amazing, but decent. Their kids menu could do better. They made it fancy which would be fine except my kids aren't going to eat 4 cheese made from scratch macaroni and I'd rather not pay double the cost of other places for a meal they won't eat. read more

We used to be regular customers of the Old Mint what's closed down and reopened as a new restaurant in Bozeman. The subsequent Proprietors we're horrible at best watch unfortunately tarnished a very successful business location in Belgrade. The new mint, in my opinion is better than the old mint, and better than virtually any restaurant in Gallatin County. The service is impeccable the food and prices are extremely competitive and high quality at a reasonable price. In the past three weeks we have eaten there twice and we'll be eating there again this Friday. If I ever decide to open up a business out of this city / County I would want to model what this place is doing right. read more

The Mint Café and Bar in Belgrade reopened on December 2, 2015. It serves American food and might be called a steak house though it has a variety of other entrees such as stroganoff and pork. Service was earnest and cheerful but showed the inexperience of new people. The food was good quality, well-prepared and well presented. The management was very much in presence and striving to ensure that the patrons were properly cared for. The wine list is good and reasonably priced. The difficulty with the restaurant in its current form is that there is nothing special about it. If you choose the Mint, you will get a nourishing meal, well-served and you will not go away hungry. However, it will not be a memorable dining experience featuring new and creative twists and cuisine more profound than what you can prepare for yourself at home. It may be the goal of the new management to own and operate a neighborhood restaurant in the tradition of previous iterations but we would hope that they will evolve into something more than this. So sorry to see the changes to what was once our favorite Montana Steakhouse. I think the new ownership messed with what was a classy bar and restaruant which we felt was renowned for its ambiance, excellent service and food. Will not be back. O longer a destination spot.Drovee a long way in anticpation of a special dinner. We did not stay to eat as we did not want to eat in an atmoshere that was sorely lacking. This a great steakhouse for families. The steaks were really good and kids eat free on Mondays. The portions and selection were perfect for our boys and the adult menu had a of tasty choices. They also have a good wine selection for the parents:-). We will definitely be back! read more

Overpriced, undersized steaks. I truly couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the prices on the menu considering we were seated at bar tables. What happened to the white tablecloth experience ? This is rural Montana, not downtown San Francisco. Not only that, but they are in competition with other places like Open Range and Ted's. The server was very nice but seemed inexperienced. My steak was suspiciously small. I remember laughing at a Shrimp Cocktail on the menu that was something like 39 dollars. Still laughing. I think the owners should take an afternoon to look at the local restaurants and pitch their prices and experience accordingly because the Mint is no longer the only game in town. read more

There were three of us. We ordered the bison burger, the rib eye and the petite tenderloin. The bison burger was ordered medium rare and served medium rare, most places cannot figure this out. The rib eye was a wonderful cut of meat, prepared just right. The tenderloin was ordered and served medium rare. It tasted wonderful. The rosemary mashed potatoes were full flavored with just the right amount of rosemary. The vegetables were crisp and cooked just right. A very well done meal!. Excellent white wine. I heard that the Mint was back open under new ownership and new management and that things had improved! Well they weren't lying. First off, our server was very helpful in helping us decide on what to choose from the menu. We ordered drinks from the Holiday Drink menu and they were delicious! I don't normally order burgers when eating out, but I was told the Mint burger would change my opinion and again, they were right! I am so glad that I gave it another shot.
