Hugely disappointed. Being generous with a two star. More like a one star. I used to love this place. Hardly anyone here on a Saturday night. mediocre food, heavily watered down sauces. Items not stocked. Grill not clean. Bathrooms still pretty gross , dilapidated. Mens Urinal has been bagged out of order for YEARS. Seriously They cant fix or renovate ?? I poured a TON of sauce on my bowl and it had no flavor. Heavily watered down. Hardly any noodles or toppings. Employees were not restocking. Just wiping down empty booths. They got rid of the peanut butter sesame biscuits and soup around covid time never brought it back and the price went WAY up. $40 plus tip. Left hungry. The owner was nice but TOTALLY forgot who i was ! Then acted like he couldn't speak english. I used to visit so much He PERSONALLY on his own , gave me a free beer on my birthday, years ago. Now, we got ignored the whole time. He was too busy counting receipts at a booth near the register and waitresses kept wiping down empty walls on booths because he was there. I had to ask for my check because we were getting ignored. I never got one refill on my drink or the small portion of chips. $44+ down the drain It still has a lot of the same bones if you been here before but way more mediocre more expensive there's better Mongolian out there. I am still in complete shock. Check my photos from visits here over the years. Whoever is running this place needs to STOP being cheap. BRING BACK THE biscuits and EGG FLOWER soup. I've tried many Mongolian places and I keep coming back to this one. I don't live in this but it's worth the drive. The use to have water chestnuts that I loved. What makes this place different? I believe it has to do with the sauces. I like my bowl a little sweet and spicy. When I go to other places they all end up tasting salty! The same salty flavor no matter how much sugar I add to it. After all these years we still come to this Mongolian barbecue. Overall, it's a little run down, but the food is still just as good. They have an excellent variety of meats, fresh veggies, and sauces. Even though there was a line of people we got through pretty quickly. This is one of the few Mongolian barbecues that offers complimentary rolls, wonton, and rice. Most other places now charge for those items. Prices are very reasonable. My husband and I have been eating here since we were kids. If I could give zero stars I would for sure. The food was absolutely HORRIBLE. The rotten smell coming from the fridge door opening where the alcohol is stored to be served was so stomach turning it was unreal. Unfortunately, we will NEVER be coming back. My husband and I love this spot for the food but the place could use some help. The inside doesn't have much of an ambiance. There isn't any music ever and the view into the back room is unappealing. I'd love to see this spot get a makeover! Clean the place up a bit and add some life in there! With that said, we absolutely love the food. Everything is fresh and cooked to perfection. I came here several times. Today I was disappointed by the way the place is managed. Sunday they closed before 2:55 pm. I just came and after I was inside they said it was closed although people were eating inside and the doors were open. Bad management. read more

This has been here forever- and it shows. The place is in need of some deep cleaning (ceiling, vents). I do feel safe eating here and their food is delicious. Nice selection of meats, veggies, sauces and accoutrements (peanuts, cilantro, pineapple, kimchi, etc.) The folks who work here are super kind and always go out of their way to talk to us. Pricing isn't cheap, but there is a discount for children although they get the same size bowl. For 2 adults and 2 kids, one Diet Pepsi and one beer we paid $75. But it's a fun experience for the kids and yummy. This shopping center is largely vacant and I worry we'll lose this long time business. If you haven't been, check it out! read more

The beef and pork was good, chicken tasted funny, probably due to being frozen idk. But they did there best to keep the area clean, people getting there food make a mess. The Mongolian Bar-B-Q is a pretty standard mongolian BBQ joint. There are some better mongolian BBQ places available, so I doubt I'll be back. Prices were a bit high for dinner in my opinion ($9 for lunch only one pass through, $13 for dinner with AYCE). Here are the reasons why I'd probably go elsewhere next time I'm in the mood for mongolian BBQ: The selection for sauces and veggies was limited. Nothing seemed super old/gross, but it wasn't fresh either. The sauces also had a bad labeling system which made it somewhat hard to know what exactly was in each jar. The restaurant itself is also kinda gross inside, more so than other mongolian BBQ places I've been to. Literally everything, even the tables you eat at, was sticky and greasy which means they obviously don't clean very often. The area where you grab your food itself was honestly just disgusting. I had to spend the whole time trying not to touch anything or rub my body against the counter out of fear of getting terrible grease stains on my clothing. Your meal comes with rice, miso soup and egg rolls. These were really bland and luke-warm at best, and honestly not worth eating. Parking was fine on a weekday, but I can see maybe being a bit busy on the weekends. The parking lot is somewhat awkward to navigate. read more

I'm never disappointed and it always hits the spot. Service is always extremely efficient. It's a quick in and out. They also clean the grill regularly without having to ask. What keeps me coming is that the sauces are flavorful and not watered down like most. Lastly I like supporting family businesses. I've eaten here for take-out a few different times, but I dined in on a Tuesday evening recently for the first time, and it was extremely busy! On weekdays, it's all you can eat, one bowl per trip. As of January 2023, it's $17.50 a person. A drink is an additional $1.75. After taxes and tip, it's basically $25 a person. The staff is very kind, but unfortunately, I find much of their offerings to be a bit lackluster. Every time I've eaten here, I'm just not impressed with the taste of things. I'm not sure if it's because they water down their sauces in excess or if it is the quality of ingredients. It's more of a personal preference here, but I do prefer mongolian places to offer gloves. Keeps things cleaner, though I only know of a few mongolian places that do, and I think it was more of a covid measure than anything. I've seen people mention the ambiance of the restaurant in their review, but it's a strip mall mongolian place. Of course, it's in need of a remodel, and not super sparkly, I wouldn't recommend visiting such restaurants if "ambiance" is a major factor in the experience for you. read more

First and last visit. Absolutely disgusting. A health inspector seriously needs to take a trip here as the ceiling vents are thick of dust and everything about this place is gross. No gloves available, their tongs have some kind of thick muck stuck on the inner folds of the metal. The thicker type noodles were so chewy it was like rubber I could barely even swallow my first bite which was also my last bite. There is no flavor what so ever. One of the servers picked up a noodle of the ground with bare hands and never washed them afterwards. On the table when we sat down with our bowls there was a plate with the tiniest two eggrolls I have ever seen. We could not even take another bite after the first and instead of just walking out as this place clearly isn't worth a dime of mine, we were honest with the owner and he said he has had no complaints in 30-40 something years and it's our problem that the food is tasteless. Which how is there supposed to be flavor when the sauce is not of any good quality? Owner also claimed that the noodles are going to be chewy as they are thick... that's why i love the thick noodles at every other mangolians haha... it's not the thickness, it was just simply raw noodle. I work within food industry and when the customer isn't satisfied we take the food back and refund them and take the complaint into consideration to better our service and provide a better experience for our customers as they are the people who give us business. They wanted us to pay for two full bowls that we had one bite of and didn't want anymore because it was raw, tastless, noodles. The owner is just in denial that his restaurant is foul needing cleaning as well as better food. I ended up paying $20 for a bite of food at this place they want to call a restaurant and going to Changs mangolians off of Riley street instead. Just had lunch here and it's your traditional Mongolian bbq spot the food is decent I got the lamb protein and veggies the customer service was good. The meat inside the containers looked old and brownish on the edges. The sauces are severely watered down You have to add double the amount of sauce you usually add on Mongolian BBQs to achieve any type of flavor at all.
