I've tried many Mongolian places and I keep coming back to this one. I don't live in this but it's worth the drive. The use to have water chestnuts that I loved. What makes this place different? I believe it has to do with the sauces. I like my bowl a little sweet and spicy. When I go to other places they all end up tasting salty! The same salty flavor no matter how much sugar I add to it. This place I get my outcome I aim for, sweet and spicy. Yes I know they may water down their sauces but this place does it right.

The ingredients were incredibly fresh , and you could really taste the quality. The staff went above and beyond to make my birthday memorable.

I wish I can add a zero(no stars) this place is highly not recommended, the meats were empty did not stock up,all the sauces were watered down on the line, the chef prepared the food adding tons of water. Once I got my plate the food had no flavor it taste like dirty grill very disgusting and the bathroom are nasty af

From the first bite to the last, it was pure magic. Every dish was a perfect harmony of flavor and texture. An unforgettable culinary experience!

After all these years we still come to this Mongolian barbecue. Overall, it's a little run down, but the food is still just as good. They have an excellent variety of meats, fresh veggies, and sauces. Even though there was a line of people we got through pretty quickly. This is one of the few Mongolian barbecues that offers complimentary rolls, wonton, and rice. Most other places now charge for those items. Prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend as it is still one of the best Mongolian barbecues around!!!

This spot hit the spot for some tasty comforting Mongolian bbq! We arrived and were the only other couple there but then it seemed as if others sensed our presence. By the time we were done building our bowl the place was full! Prices are very reasonable and veggies, beef, etc are fresh. Establishment is very clean and well ventilated. You don't come out smelling like smoke. Goi d my new go-to spot!

Mongolian bowl full of vegs, noodles, chicken, and cilantro. Complimentary vegetable egg roll and water.

I read several positive reviews about this place. Customer service was excellent! Great variety of meats and vegs. I enjoyed my bowl along with the egg roll. Very nice atmosphere. I went to this place around 11:15 ish on a week day. By the time I left a little after 12:30, most tables were filled.

We walked in pretty busy, Not many options, very messy at the station But when the food is being cooked the cooks aren't adding more flavor (as maybe it may need) sesame oil, house oil, etc Food was not tasty , I was able to take a few bites but not worth $35 unfortunately Tje cooks should be adding soy sauce, house sauce, blossom sauce to add Flavor

Our waiterS were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable in their menu options. One of them was super friendly -- maybe even a bit cheeky! -- and he made us feel at home. Second, the ambiance was dinner date night worthy so long as you don't mind a few TVs. They didn't bother us nor was the volume obnoxiously loud. The bar area is fun and modern-looking. Third, ohmygoodness! The food was sooo delicious! The Cantonese-style Seabass paired quite lovely with Shrimp Fried Rice and Combination Veggies!!! The seabass was topped with sliced ginger and onions. It was super tasty! It reminded me of home cooked meals growing up. The shrimp in the fried rice was tender and lighted dusty with some type of flour that made it perfectly crisp. And the combination veggies was perfectly cooked and served in a light sauce! Thing is, I'm not a huge fan of "Asian Fusion" but this place seemed to hit all the boxes for us. Go give Folsom Palace a try! p.s. Each dish was beautifully presented and smelled amazing as they walked up... that I totally forgot to take pictures (lol).

The noodles were flavorful and well-seasoned, the shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the vegetables were fresh. Everything tasted great together. However, for $20, I expected a little more. There were only 4 shrimp in the box, which feels like too little for the price. If they had included at least 6-8 shrimp, it would have been much better. The food is delicious, but the value for the money could definitely be improved.

I paid with a $50 bill and was initially given only about a dollar in change. I had to point out that I hadn't received the correct change before I was given the rest. The whole situation was very confusing and concerning. As for the food, the egg rolls were not crispy and the outside was extremely thick. The fried rice looked dark and flavorful, but unfortunately it was very bland. You also have to purchase soy sauce separately, and they charge $0.50 per packet. The orange chicken had good flavor, but the portions were very stingy. There wasn't much meat, and the amount of rice was also small considering how much everything costs. The young girl working the front may have been inexperienced, because the change and total situation was handled incorrectly. I'm not sure if it was a mistake or what happened, but being charged $47 when my receipt showed $41 was frustrating. For the prices, I expected much better food, portions, and service. This was my first time here and unfortunately it will be my last. I would not recommend this place based on my experience.

A Cantonese style dinner memory Growing up in the 60's…read moretoday's youngsters probably won't remember when you were lucky to have a Chinese Restaurant nearby where your family would go for special occasions to share a traditional American Chinese food dinner. There were few restaurants and no such thing as fast food. Family... We loved it because we would see my Uncle and Auntie and sit at a large round table and enjoy a great variety of dishes we shared with the whole family , of course only on special occasions. This was well before the Pandas of the world, today's fast food, take out evolution and I can't say that it's better other than the variety of Taiwan, Sichuan, Asian fusion highly creative dishes, every type of Chinese food you can think of. But stepping into Rose Garden brings back those past memories, you know the type you forgot about, until a flavor or dish you know the taste of familiarity that brings back good memories. Well ,I have to say Rose Garden is a great place to find Cantonese food at a great price with food that will remind you of family dinners. So if you're on the road to Tahoe and crave Cantonese food , this restaurant sits between the 50 and 80 freeway just outside Sacramento in Roseville. Service welcoming and fast!

We were about 20 minutes away when we ordered by phone. We went with some Sesame Chicken and Chicken Chowmein. When we arrived we were still waiting since they were making orders ahead of us. We sat in the dining room, which is not set up for anyone to dine in. This seemed to be only a pick up type of place. After about 15 more minutes our order was ready. The woman was so nice and packed up a couple plates, with silverware, napkins, soy sauce, and fortune cookies. We hopped back into the truck and drove back to his house for the remainder of our date. After another 20 minute drive, we went inside and out food was still piping hot! The only issue we had was that the paper plates were so thin. We literally only got 2 of the thinnest plates you could find on the market. Putting anything on them would bleed through... so if you ask for plates double or triple up what you really need. The Sesame Chicken was very good. Cooked fresh. The crunch on the outside of the chicken and the taste of the sauce was spot on. The Chicken Chowmein noodles were just as delicious! This spot was so close to my parents house, I am so surprised I had never discovered it! Good food ended with a gorgeous night!!

04.26.26 Mama (that's me) was in the mood for some Chinese,…read moreso instead of taking hubby for a sit down spot in Roseville/Granite Bay I've been meaning to take him to, we opted for takeout close to home. We've tried several spots in the area after our typical go-to hadn't been great the last few times we ordered. So, I turned to my trusty Yelp and found Pearl House. Hubs knew exactly where it was--next door to Grocery Outlet. I thought it was closed last time we were at GC, like closed closed. So when we saw pics from 3days ago, we knew that wasn't the case. Being 7pm on a Sunday, we saw they closed at 9pm. So, looked at their menu online, we decided on our order: Hubs' go-to whenever trying a new place is General Tso's Chicken, and I tried something new-Happy Family because I was in the mood for a protein variety dish, and this had quite the variety: scallop, shrimp, calamari, crabmeat, chicken, BBQ pork, and beef with a plethora or veggies. We also wanted egg rolls. I called and a lady answered, took my order, and said it'd be ready in 10min. Didn't take my name or number-wow! Not only did I think that was kinda crazy, but TEN minutes?!?! This was either gunna blow my mind or be horrible. We drove over and upon entering there were a few people inside leaving--not sure if they were also to-go or has finished eating there. I looked around and saw many empty tables, but clean looking dining room area. A lady behind the counter wearing a face mask asked to help me. I let her know I was there to pick up, and she asked what I ordered. Our order was already boxed up ready to go. Our total? $41 before tip. I asked her if they did sit down, she confirmed yes. Then I told her it was my first time in there, to which she asked where I lived and that they've been there for 37 YEARS! Then she said she hopes we like our food and to see us again. I grabbed a to-go menu and went on my way. The food smelled good and when we got home, I grabbed my own chopsticks and hot chili oil, and was ready to grub. In the box, besides our ordered food, they included sweet & sour sauce for the egg rolls, as well as soy sauce packets and individually wrapped fortune cookies. I first went for an eggroll, which was surprisingly longer in length than most other places. Took a bite and enjoyed that wonderful crispy outside texture, and saw it was veggie only inside--whomp, whomp. In my mind, these should really be called spring rolls. However, these had some REALLY great flavor!! Hubs enjoys meat in his rolls, but after explaining the flavor, he still tried one himself and was quite happy with it. He had taken a bite of his GT Chicken and said it was pretty good. He said it tasted a little too sweet, almost dessert-y, but that it was also really good. I tried a small piece and liked how crispy it was even in all the sweet sauciness. Then I opened my dish and boy oh boy did it look good. Now before I talk about how it tasted, I need to explain what I thought I was getting. The menu said all those proteins I mentioned, and that it was tossed with snow pea pods, broccoli tips, mushrooms (which I ordered without) and baby corn. All veggies I enjoy! So, what my dish actually came with (as you can see in my pic), there was onions, carrots, celery, bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, NO calamari or baby corn or BBQ pork. That all said, I was most disappointed in not having the calamari, BBQ pork or baby corn. Sad, yes. But the overall dish made up for it. With that, I was not mad AT ALL, and surprisingly ate the entire thing in one sitting--NOT a usual thing for me!! Granted, I hadn't eaten since breakfast, but still. It was DEE-LICIOUS and I'll say Dee-approved!! I'm literally writing this review immediately after eating dinner because it was THAT good y'all! I couldn't not let my people know that Pearl House is legit and it's obvious why they've been around for 37 years. This may be our new go-to spot for that neighborhood Chinese food craving, IJS. So, if you're in the area and looking for some authentic Chinese cuisine, look no further and check out Pearl House for yourself. We most definitely will be back. P.S. And them fortune cookies are good too!
