Wonderful customer service. Everyone we came across were very kind to us. This was our first visit and the food was great. Very clean inside and out.

The surface here isn't too bad. It's very minimal you make your own bowl. The cook cooks it on the stove top and then you sit down and someone brings you the sides. The food is OK there are quite a few different options so you can make endless combinations of bowls. This place is open until midnight. I don't know if you get to eat in until midnight or if they just do to go orders, but that's pretty cool if you're looking for a late night bite this place is pretty dingy and dirty though they are in some need of serious.

LAMB LAMB LAMB !! So good delish. Make sure you're generous with the sauces so your dish is flavorful. If you're into getting your protein on, expect best bang for your buck. Dinner is $16.25 for AYCE Mongolian BBQ.

Food was okay, the chicken was delish but beef was TERRIBLE, I had great company, but the service sucked. I had the lunch service, we had sodas, and based on previous experience with Mongolian BBQ's, I knew my food wouldn't fit in their paper container. I asked for a larger plastic as there was quite a bit of liquid. She said I can't give you that, you have to pay for it. Like what in the world is this nonsense??? Then made another remark about it to me when she asked my daughter if she needed a box, "do you need a box or would you like to also purchase one of the larger ones too." Ma'am I'm not asking for a larger one for fun, I'm asking for it because my bowl would NOT fit in their paper box. And proof is in the photos, her bowl was 1/3 less than mine when boxing because she ate more and it still barely could squeeze in with effort.

We met some family for a late Sunday lunch with a party of 7, and had an overall good experience! We got a table right away, which was awesome for a group our size. The food bar was fully stocked and has alot of options compared to other Mongolian restaurants. The line moved quickly, so it didn't take long to make our bowls and get them cooked. Our drinks were already waiting for us at the table when we got there. It did take a little longer to get our rice, soup and appetizers, and other groups that arrived after us got theirs before us. The service was good--friendly and attentive overall, though it did take a little while to get drink refills. Nothing major, just a small wait. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side and looks older. But the food definitely makes up for it.

Small establishment. Nice variety of toppings for your meal. This was my 1st time having Mongolian.. and you do make your own bowl. With that being said, if its not good, its your own fault? Idk lol. I filled my bowl to my liking, added the sauces, hot sauces, garlic.. it was VERY BLAND. Then i saw staff topping off the sauces with what looked like water? The veggie eggrolls were good & hot. The soup & rice they brought out were lukewarm, at best. Dont think i'll ever be returning

This is the place. My absolute favorite spot to eat. My son loves making his own bowl, and when they have all-you-can-eat, my dad is the happiest person in the world. He loves a good value, and this place delivers. It does get messy, but self-serve is just like that. People spill, drop things, and make a mess, and as soon as someone cleans it, another person is right behind them doing the same thing. I know that has given the place a bad rep, but really, it's the crowd, not the restaurant. That said, it would be nice to have a busser always on top of it because cleanliness matters. What keeps me coming back is how comfortable I feel here. I do not have to talk, just nod if I want garlic, and the staff are familiar with Deaf customers. I have even seen a big family come through with Deaf people, which makes it feel even more like home and welcoming. Great food, great atmosphere, and great staff. Five stars every time.

Yikes! This place is bad. When I walked inside, the place was dirty. You could see how little cleaning was put in. There was only one waitress so I understand it's busy but the entire place was run down. I got takeout and I was put off because I found two different hairs in the meal.... Something needs to be fixed. The staff was nice. That was the only good part.

Order a DoorDash with no noodles if you'd like it with more protein!

Omg they have XLB!! Sooo good This is a perfect place to come if you have a young family and your dining out on a budget. Kid friendly, amazing service, they offer delivery takeout, and now Catering!! AND they have multiple locations in Sacramento! They have a great menu a lot of different food options . Their happy hour on DoorDash is unbeatable, they have a buy one get one on XLB!!!!

You really can't judge a book by its cover. This location does not have the overall star rating that it deserves. I'm giving it a five out of five because of how amazing my experience was. I usually don't go to this location because it's not the closest one to me (I go to the one off Florin) however I was in this area and wanted to check this place out. When my husband and I walked in, we were instantly kindly greeted to go fill up our bowls. The stations were extremely clean and there was somebody making sure that any dropped food was cleaned up immediately. There were so many fresh and delicious options to choose from. There was one cook and he did a phenomenal job. He even checked in to make sure that we had enough sauce and garlic powder. Once we sat down, we had all of the fixings such as soup and wonton chips and potstickers. Our drinks that we ordered were at the table as well. The servers kept checking in to make sure that we had everything we need. I kept taking them up on the offer of refills and some more wonton chips. This place is clean, quick, efficient and the staff here are really nice.

In about thirty minutes or so after eating I could not finish my entire plate even though the food I ordered tasted super good. If you guys get a chance to meet Kevin as your waiter you will enjoy his service. I got a chance to speak with Galina also. The reason I feel like their cornbread is by far the best is because when I bite into it I just taste deliciousness all around. Last night when I came here I told Kevin I wanted the turkey with trip tip along with mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce added as the sides. Whoever made these mashed potatoes really knows what they are doing. A side of mashed potatoes I rate an 11 cornbread 10 for 10 and turkey with tri tip a 10 out of 10. Don't freak out by the looks of their cornbread at first glance, once you try it your going to want to order plenty for everyone. Thanks guys. And the manager credit to you also at Back Forty.

The beef ribs were huge, incredibly tender, and packed with smoky flavor. The pork ribs were the best I've had in a long time--cooked to perfection with just the right amount of bite. The tri-tip was juicy, flavorful, and sliced perfectly. We also shared a baked potato and the mac and cheese, and both were the perfect sides. The atmosphere has a fun country vibe, right down to the cowboy hat-wearing servers. What really stood out, though, was the hospitality. We were greeted with a warm welcome as soon as we walked in, and the experience ended with our leftovers boxed up and a genuine invitation to come back again soon. Great barbecue, friendly people, and the kind of hospitality that makes you want to return. We'll definitely be back!

Stopped by Buckhorn for the first time for Father's Day lunch. Great joint for pretty good BBQ!…read more Buckhorn is an order at the counter and get a number type place. The line was long when we came in, but moved quickly. The bigger problem is that there aren't nearly enough tables for how many folks were dining in. We did end up finding a table on their patio- which is always a win for our family. For about $70, we got two kids' meals (one slider and one chicken tenders), a shareables order of the tri-tip tacos (that my wife ate as her entree), and a two-protein platter with the pulled pork and tri-tip. They asked how we wanted our tri-tip cooked, and we answered medium, but all of the tri-tip came out well done. The flavors of everything were good, though, and the portions are substantial. The kids' meals are a great value. The two-protein platter was enough for two meals if you wanted it to be. The tacos were filled generously and were very tasty. I enjoyed the coleslaw- though I read some others find it bland. I did not think that at all. I really enjoyed the selection of sauces available at Buckhorn. They have a pump-your-own-sauce station with several types of BBQ sauce, horseradish sauce, ketchup, and spicy ranch. Yum! My favorite was the mustard-based BBQ sauce. Overall, I would totally return to Buckhorn. I could probably lean 4 stars here, but I think it's a better spot for BBQ than many others in my area and in the Roseville area that I've tried. The service at the counter was very pleasant then you go into make your own sodas. My wife had the tri-tip burger and her tri-tip was grisly. I had the pulled pork sandwich and it was Sahara dry. Even generous amounts of bbq sauce couldn't save it. Bbq sauce not bad though. Cole slaw for the sando was also pretty good. The highlight of the visit were the OG fries. Huge plate suitable for sharing across 2-4 people...If we ever went back, it would be for cold beers and sharing a plate of fries....

The FOOD: Not great at all...hardly even good. I don't think I have ever been to an establishment where everything that we ordered was pretty bad. We ordered chicken wings... half of the order was barbecue the other half was parmesan and herb. They were dry and the flavor was lacking in both. I also ordered their fried pickles. I didn't know it was possible to mess those up until the basket of yummy, flavorful pickles came and were completely wet and soggy with breading coming off of it. What a disappointment. My husband ordered the brisket sandwich with their cheesy potatoes. The waitress described it as like a fully loaded potato. That sounds yummy, only it wasn't. It was presented as partially mashed potatoes with chunks in it and the cheesy flavor was almost like the flavor from a packet of mac and cheese sauce. The sandwich was a flavorless tasting shredded barbecue. We asked for barbecue sauce to put on the sandwich and it tasted like somebody put vinegar and sugar in that sauce. I ordered the chopped BBQ sourdough bread sandwich and there's no way that was sourdough that I was eating but instead tasted like bread that was toasted. That was probably the best thing I ate was just the bread because the meat was as I described before no flavor and very disappointing. I also ordered fries and thought at least I can eat these but I was wrong. Even their frozen fries were lacking in flavor. We also both ordered iced tea and asked for yes, artificial sweetener and we were informed that they don't carry any. Just regular sugar. That was a first for me! Never ever been to any restaurant or eating establishment that didn't carry a variety of sugar for people who drink iced tea. It's unfortunate that everything my husband and I ordered was really bad. It almost was comical except that we paid $80 for that inedible food. The Service: Our server, Ana was awesome!! She was the only one taking care of everybody and she did it flawlessly. When we asked for extra sauce, she delivered it quickly. She was good about checking on all the customers even though there were only 4 of us in total. A family of 5 left 10 minutes after we arrived and 2 people sat at the bar 15 minutes after we ordered. She had a great attitude and smiled a lot. She said she was new to the job but her actions made it look as though she were a veteran. OVERALL: The service was great and the establishment itself is a great neighborhood sports bar hang out but the food was really really bad. It wouldn't have been a terrible thing if just one or maybe two items we ordered weren't that great but the fact that every single thing including the tea was bad, is the reason that we will not visit this place again. By the way, it took me a couple of weeks to write this, because I aim to see the good in everything. I do not like to receive negativity or give it. It was difficult to be that honest especially when other people in the reviews really liked the food. Good for them! I do hope that this place will have enough customers to stay open for a long time. I wish them the best of luck.
