    DIY bowl
    Youngnan K.

The surface here isn't too bad. It's very minimal you make your own bowl. The cook cooks it on the stove top and then you sit down and someone brings you the sides. The food is OK there are quite a few different options so you can make endless combinations of bowls. This place is open until midnight. I don't know if you get to eat in until midnight or if they just do to go orders, but that's pretty cool if you're looking for a late night bite this place is pretty dingy and dirty though they are in some need of serious.

LAMB LAMB LAMB !! So good delish. Make sure you're generous with the sauces so your dish is flavorful. If you're into getting your protein on, expect best bang for your buck. Dinner is $16.25 for AYCE Mongolian BBQ.

Food was okay, the chicken was delish but beef was TERRIBLE, I had great company, but the service sucked. I had the lunch service, we had sodas, and based on previous experience with Mongolian BBQ's, I knew my food wouldn't fit in their paper container. I asked for a larger plastic as there was quite a bit of liquid. She said I can't give you that, you have to pay for it. Like what in the world is this nonsense??? Then made another remark about it to me when she asked my daughter if she needed a box, "do you need a box or would you like to also purchase one of the larger ones too." Ma'am I'm not asking for a larger one for fun, I'm asking for it because my bowl would NOT fit in their paper box. And proof is in the photos, her bowl was 1/3 less than mine when boxing because she ate more and it still barely could squeeze in with effort.

Been coming to GK for years. 10/18/25 was solid. Amazing ingredients, staff friendly. Clean dine in. Music was chill. Love the sauces here. Mongo bowl was a pure delight will be back! A++++

Small establishment. Nice variety of toppings for your meal. This was my 1st time having Mongolian.. and you do make your own bowl. With that being said, if its not good, its your own fault? Idk lol. I filled my bowl to my liking, added the sauces, hot sauces, garlic.. it was VERY BLAND. Then i saw staff topping off the sauces with what looked like water? The veggie eggrolls were good & hot. The soup & rice they brought out were lukewarm, at best. Dont think i'll ever be returning

We met some family for a late Sunday lunch with a party of 7, and had an overall good experience! We got a table right away, which was awesome for a group our size. The food bar was fully stocked and has alot of options compared to other Mongolian restaurants. The line moved quickly, so it didn't take long to make our bowls and get them cooked. Our drinks were already waiting for us at the table when we got there. It did take a little longer to get our rice, soup and appetizers, and other groups that arrived after us got theirs before us. The service was good--friendly and attentive overall, though it did take a little while to get drink refills. Nothing major, just a small wait. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side and looks older. But the food definitely makes up for it.

This is the place. My absolute favorite spot to eat. My son loves making his own bowl, and when they have all-you-can-eat, my dad is the happiest person in the world. He loves a good value, and this place delivers. It does get messy, but self-serve is just like that. People spill, drop things, and make a mess, and as soon as someone cleans it, another person is right behind them doing the same thing. I know that has given the place a bad rep, but really, it's the crowd, not the restaurant. That said, it would be nice to have a busser always on top of it because cleanliness matters. What keeps me coming back is how comfortable I feel here. I do not have to talk, just nod if I want garlic, and the staff are familiar with Deaf customers. I have even seen a big family come through with Deaf people, which makes it feel even more like home and welcoming. Great food, great atmosphere, and great staff. Five stars every time.

Yikes! This place is bad. When I walked inside, the place was dirty. You could see how little cleaning was put in. There was only one waitress so I understand it's busy but the entire place was run down. I got takeout and I was put off because I found two different hairs in the meal.... Something needs to be fixed. The staff was nice. That was the only good part.

Order a DoorDash with no noodles if you'd like it with more protein!

Omg they have XLB!! Sooo good This is a perfect place to come if you have a young family and your dining out on a budget. Kid friendly, amazing service, they offer delivery takeout, and now Catering!! AND they have multiple locations in Sacramento! They have a great menu a lot of different food options . Their happy hour on DoorDash is unbeatable, they have a buy one get one on XLB!!!!

You really can't judge a book by its cover. This location does not have the overall star rating that it deserves. I'm giving it a five out of five because of how amazing my experience was. I usually don't go to this location because it's not the closest one to me (I go to the one off Florin) however I was in this area and wanted to check this place out. When my husband and I walked in, we were instantly kindly greeted to go fill up our bowls. The stations were extremely clean and there was somebody making sure that any dropped food was cleaned up immediately. There were so many fresh and delicious options to choose from. There was one cook and he did a phenomenal job. He even checked in to make sure that we had enough sauce and garlic powder. Once we sat down, we had all of the fixings such as soup and wonton chips and potstickers. Our drinks that we ordered were at the table as well. The servers kept checking in to make sure that we had everything we need. I kept taking them up on the offer of refills and some more wonton chips. This place is clean, quick, efficient and the staff here are really nice.

Surprised how busy they were for early dinners or maybe others had a late lunch. This time I tried a different sandwich. I think the menu said it had beef brisket, french fried onions, blue cheese and blue cheese spread. Glad it arrived with the spread on the side. But it was very good. I didn't see regular French fries on their menu. We asked after very friendly server said they had regular fries. I already ordered a baked potato. I love most all potatoes. It was very good they did not hold back on the butter and sour cream! I was very happy. Clean restaurant, very friendly servers and everyone enjoyed their meals. Everyone really loved their bread sides. My husband got the banana bread let me try some very good.

Shoutout to Folsom, CA. Kabayan!…read more This is a super worthy shout out. Kabayan is Filipino casual counter service eatery serving up some darn tasty food. I'm not well versed in Filipino cuisine, but I got working tastebuds and I like what I like. I meandered into the eatery on a recent weekend mid-afternoon. The tables were filled with happy folks enjoying their meals with a line of folks waiting for an open table; that's always a good indicator. I decided to order to go. The owner was cashiering. She was super helpful and engaging. Big smile. I ordered the two item combo $13.99 that comes with rice and pancit. The pancit was classic with all the familiar flavors. Ginisang Pusit. Squid. Soooo good! I never had this dish before. The squid was super tender, not mushy nor rubbery. Perfect tenderness... how did they do that?!? It had a sweetness and slight spiciness. Spiciness without the heat, but packing a bunch of flavor. I'm still thinking about that dish. Pork Kare Kare. It was served with a side of fermented shrimp paste. Not a lot of restaurants provide that shrimp paste, so I was stoked even if it was a smallish portion. The paste was a perfect compliment of saltiness to the creamy peanut butter sauce. Yup, PB gravy sauce. They also sell imported Filipino packaged snacks and pantry items. Plus they sell halo halo. I saw folks with gorgeously delicious looking halo halo. Colorful layers of shaved ice, ice cream, and toppings. The eatery is not particular large, so when it's a full house, it gets crowded cozy.

There's plenty of parking spots as it's in the same plaza as Raleys. It's a smaller shop that poses as a restaurant on one side and a small market filled with Filipino snacks on the other. There's not much for ambience, but it's clean and cozy. The owner served me, and she was super warm and friendly and very welcoming. I had questions about the food and their menu and she was very patient going through all of them. She introduced me to pitchi pitchi which is a sweet and salty cassava dessert that reminds me of mochi. The cheese threw me off a little, but I read that sometimes it's served with coconut flakes. I ordered two halo halo desserts, two combos, the cassava dessert, upgraded the rice to garlic rice, two orders of lumpia, and picked up a couple of calamansi drinks and garlic peanuts as a snick snack. Total bill plus tip was over $100. The menu changes every day, which I think is interesting. And every Sunday they serve lechon for $18 a pound. Check out their Facebook page for updates in case I got this information wrong. For the food, I had half pancit and half rice. I had adobo chicken, butter chicken, and two pork dishes that I don't remember the name. I like that the pork had a good combo of fat and lean meats. I wish I could've eaten it there but we had lunch and then decided to stop here. I felt like the food being warmed up after sitting in the fridge for a bit, It kind of made all of the entrées taste similar to each other. Next time I will vary my order, like I'll get a saucey dish, a sour soup, and a bbq skewer. All in all the food tasted very homey and delicious. It's heavily seasoned. I can see myself ordering lumpia and pancit to a party. Can't wait to go back and try their lechon and pork belly.

We saw the smoker in the front of the building. I do luv me some good ole BBQ. So off we went. We ordered a double down plate $26: two 7oz protein choices with cole slaw on brioche and an 8 oz side choice. Brisket and pulled pork were our protein choices with and potato salad. We bought another side, macaroni salad. We requested that the pulled pork be placed on the side and additional sauce. I dislike being that customer with persnickety preferences. But we were, and they didn't blink an eye. Super accommodating. The pulled pork had a deep smoky flavor. Tender shredded pieces. Mmm. The sauce was served on the side. That too was delicious. Hubs had the brisket and wolfed that down before I could swipe a piece. Darn. The potato salad was tasty. Slightly tangy, which I really liked. The place is family owned and operated. It's a sports bar and family friendly bbq joint. Giving off family friendly vibes. But hey, a bar and family friendly? Yes. They both co-exist harmoniously. Talking about sports. The TVs of course are tuned onto sports. All of the screens are strategically placed throughout. They even have framed signed football jerseys from USC Trojans, Denver Broncos, and 49ers to name a few. Pretty neat.
