We came to The Mont at 1030 on a Wednesday morning and got the last free table before they started a wait list. If that doesn't tell you this place has good food then I don't know what does. The vibes are everything you expect from a Portland restaurant, a little grungy, diner fare but with interesting twists and turns for that elevated Portland experience. So as a Uber and Lyft driver you discover some great eateries in the Portland Vancouver area. I recently dropped off a rider at this restaurant, and they highly recommended it. I finally had a chance to stop for breakfast. They were not wrong. My waiter Sophie was great, very welcoming and friendly. It is a fairly small place, but very cozy. Just found our new favorite brunch spot! We came the day after Christmas and were seated pretty quickly with hardly any wait, which was such a nice surprise. I ordered the biscuits & gravy with two eggs and bacon, and wow--so flavorful and comforting. I'm not usually a biscuits & gravy person, but this completely changed my mind. My boyfriend got the eggs Benedict, and we shared a small order of the brioche French toast--everything was absolutely delicious. This is such a cute little brunch place. I sat on the patio because the weather was really nice and the patio was cute. I got the espanola scramble with a biscuit and gravy on the side and it was delicious, the scramble not so much the biscuit and gravy. It wasn't bad in fact the biscuits was very big and tasty but the gravy was a little bland to me. The scramble itself was very tasty the chorizo had a little kick and of course I added hot sauce.
