I'd like to know why is the shop so inconsistent??? We came one day and the food was great I got a turkey wrap full of turkey and sauce and a special sandwich with avocado roasted red peppers and everything bagel seasoning !! The following day we back to get the same order because it was so good the day before and WTH happened??? The wrap had barely any turkey and no sauce!! The avocado sandwich if you want to call it that had almost no avocado it was spread on so thin I could see through it and no everything seasoning and barely toasted!! What a disappointment it's never consistent!! When we went up to ask for the sauce for the wrap every person walked by the counter look at us standing there and just kept walking and standing at the sandwich station talking, really!! Originally "The Muddy Moose", it filled a void in the cafe niche for South Tiverton and was a great place for food, coffee, ice cream, etc. Service was great, staff was friendly and efficient, quality was high, and the hours catered to the working class. Over the years, things declined and COVID put the finishing touch on the Moose's gradual decline. It is now a step above the (immediately) local competition, but not by much. The drive through is a great opportunity to sit back and experience what retirement must be like as you often find yourself stuck behind someone waiting for orders that have no business being filled in a drive-thru lane (I managed to listen to the entire PULSE recording of Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb, which was so fitting). On the up-side, variety is good, but in general, my once favorite hangout is a far cry from what it used to be. read more

Although I believe its been in business since 2004 and we have driven by it too many times to count, we have not stopped in until about a month ago when we wanted a coffee. It was clean, modern, had great coffee and so we have been back for food twice since and each time, were very impressed with the quality of the food and the people working there. We have had their salads, several of their sandwiches (went with a group), ice tea, ice cream and everything my wife and I, as well as our friends have had was very good; like 9-10 on a scale of ten. Their serving size is ample and the ingredients, sauces, cook and taste of everything they serve is absolutely superb. It is one of the nicest surprises we have found in years. read more

They have over 300 flavors of gourmet soft serve and it's so good I want to try them all The servers are always super sweet and the service is pretty quick considering that they make each flavor fresh. For the most part it's always pretty good. The only gripe I have with this place is the lack of consistency. None of the employees are on the same page as far as making things. A great example is tonight's cones that we purchased, both were "regular" size and you can clearly see the chocolate cone was wayyy smaller. Not sure why two different girls make them completely different. Same with the Perfect Storms, they don't mix them, the candy is always at the top, one could be overflowing out of the cap and the other just about 3/4 full. They should all be taught to make things the same way. I always get my ice cream birthday cakes here and they are ALWAYS delicious!!!! read more

Visited recently as part of the RIFood fights coffee challenge. Moose cafe offered over 30 different flavor syrups, including a few sugar free options. The atmosphere was different. All of the sweets looked appetizing. They offered annual e cream shop with a number of novelties. The coffee was tasty and service was friendly. read more

What a cute little place! Stopped by The Moose on a whim after visiting a farmstand up the street. The combination of offerings they have here is so strange... yet satisfying? Breakfast/coffee and ice cream don't usually all go together as a business model, yet are some of my favorite things. The ice cream flavors are insane... like I've never seen so many flavors in my life. I opted for a breakfast sandwich and a Frozoffee (couldn't pick between ice cream or coffee, so I split the gap). I have never seen a list of flavors as extensive as Moose Cafe. My kids love it and so do we. The prices are fair and the ambiance is pretty fun with a bunch of moose stuff all around. The staff are quick and you can't really complain about anything. read more

When it's good it's good... but when it's not, it certainly isn't! This has to be one of the most inconsistent ice cream shops around. One time the ice cream can be fantastic and the next time melty and gross. The ingredients are never the same on their sundaes and seldom match the description. I ordered a cookielicious sundae two weeks in a row and I couldn't even tell I ordered the same thing. One was presented well with the cookies front and center with twist ice cream, the next time the cookies were smashed on the bottom and only a little vanilla ice cream and a ton of whipped cream. I want to love their frappes as well, as they have been good in the past, but one time it will be good, and the next time it will be like drinking plain milk with no ice cream and no chocolate. Please up the consistency! Train the staff to do things the same way and not improvise! read more

Probably my favorite place here close to home! It has over 300 flavors so you can get ANYTHING you want here in regards to coffee. I got an iced white chocolate banana latte here and it was great! The atmosphere is relaxing, great for conversations. But if you were here to study, it'd be too loud. Edit: so it's my husbands birthday so we headed here for the flavor he likes.... but at this point we wont be back. Large ice cream looks like the attached... plus just slow service/long line inside. Better places in the area:( we tried several times. It's just not a one off scenario. Hopefully others dont have the same experience. ------- Cute place in town that offers drive up ice cream. We haven't used the drive through yet, but it's intriguing. Prices, to us, are high and service isn't great though. We've come twice in the last two weeks ordered the cake batter hard ice cream and a pistachio the first time. We first thought that we might just have just come at a bad time. It seemed like there was some training going on... and it took way longer than necessary for our order for two ice cream cones with no wait ahead of us. We are talking over ten minutes - no exaggeration. We are super understanding, but it was excessive with the amount of just pure joking around and lack of interest that there were customers waiting. We felt ignored. Maybe training should be before an opening? Also, she may have been a manager, blonde with a pony tail was just in the back while this is happening. Came out once to direct one of the girls training, but if you're that short staffed with one at counter and one at window... why isn't the manager helping train? Then the cones came out with hardly any ice cream for two large. They looked like smalls for about 11 bucks for two large. Totally ok with the price for a large, but not when it looks like a small. We actually decided to stop in again, not even a week later. My husband really liked the cake batter ice cream, we thought that maybe it was due to the training and everyone has a bad day once in a while, but honestly it was the same experience. What an amazing place. Tons of selections to choose from for hard and soft ice cream, coffee, tea and food but the staff and owner take the proverbial cake. I made a comment to my wife that I no longer liked soft serve ice cream and the owner told me she made hers with a higher percentage of cream and then gave me a sample. Wow! It was amazing. Thick like a custard and flavorful. I changed my order to soft serve and wasn't disappointed. We got enough for 7 people with 4 coffees and the price was very reasonable. Will be back!! read more

Let's start with the good. This cafe has everything. It's the perfect place to get some work done (free wi-fi and plenty of sitting room including tables and couches). And while you're there, you have your pick of awesome coffees, teas, ice-cream, bagels, donuts, breakfast sandwiches and paninis. Love, love, love their iced chai, froz-offee, iced teas, and bacon/egg/cheese on a Portuguese muffin. Oh wait, you're in a rush? No worries, they have a drive thru too. I do have some complaints though, and it's unfortunate because I loved this place the first couple times I came, and then when I started coming daily (I live down the street) I started noticing some things. Mostly, the attitude. 75% of the time I come in, one of the young girls behind the counter has an attitude problem, as if I disturbed her by ordering a coffee. You'd think for a bunch of bubbly teenage girls, you'd get a smile or a laugh, but not here. I've actually witnessed them argue over who had to come serve customers. Why is everyone always in the back room hanging out anyway? The only exception is one young woman I always get through the drive-thru, which is how I get my coffee now. Second complaint is that when ordering something frozen, like a frozen coffee or a frozen lemonade, sometimes a small is one size (basically, a dixie cup with a lid on it) and other days a small is the size of a Dunkin's small, served in a regular plastic cup. It's not a small size difference either... some days it's MORE THAN DOUBLE the size of other days. What gives? Price doesn't seem to change so I have NO idea what a small actually is or if I'm getting a deal, or getting screwed, because the size changes so often. The the real story is that when I moved to Tiverton, I started ditching Dunkin' Donuts and coming here every day instead. After getting poo-poo'd on by the staff and never knowing what size my drink was going to be day after day, I stopped coming here. Now I only come when I have a craving for a froz-offee. read more

I absolutely love this place and I come here several times a week. They have bagels, breakfast sandwiches, sandwiches for lunch, soup, donuts, pastries, cookies, coffee, tea, espresso and ice cream!!!!! What's not to love? Plus there is plenty of seating and wi-fi! The Moose Cafe is an adorable restaurant/ice cream parlor/bakery (that incredibly) has a drive-thru. They specialize in soft serve frozen yogurt and ice cream but have some hard ice creams, ice cream dessert pies, and many other tasty frozen treats. The Moose Cafe has a full menu of cafe beverages, soups, salads, and bakery desserts that are overall high quality. The interior is warm and cozy (although I do find the giant moose head a little off-putting) but you can always keep your back to it if it bugs you. They also have the Only 8 frozen yogurt, which is only 8 calories and ounce!! So healthy people can rejoice! The food is decent as well. It mainly consists of deli meat sandwiches and microwaved pre cooked chicken in a bag to be mixed with the sauce that you want. I still love The Moose! It's still my favorite place around to get iced coffee. They still make the best breakfast sandwich on a bagel, through the drive thru by the way. I know it's all in my head, but I do believe that cutting it in half makes it taste better, I have had a couple trips where they forgot to cut it and it just wasn't the same. And how could I forget, they always have a treat ready for my dog... All I have to do is ask her if she wants to go for coffee and she runs for the door. Still like the ice cream, my favorite is called the perfect storm, any two toppings all twisted together in soft serve ice cream, although sometimes I wish I could get a smaller one... (hint, hint you should offer two sizes) They have a doggie dish for my lil girl too, it's just vanilla soft serve in a kiddie cup with a treat on top but boy does she enjoy it. I don't know if I'm just one of the lucky ones but I've never had bad service here, always smiles when I stop in... unless I run in just before they close to get some ice cream, then maybe not so many smiles... But I know the feeling of wanting to get out of work, so I don't blame them for nixing the smiles at that hour... but can they really blame me for wanting some ice cream either? read more

We went for lunch on a Monday. It was not busy. We stood at the register waiting to order for 15 minutes. There were 5 people I saw working. 4 on the drivethru and one on the register that was conversing with a lady and her son about personal matters. Never mind that there were several groups waiting to order. Finally a girl from the drivethru area took our order. Two sandwiches. We sat at a table and waited almost 20 minutes for our food. The food was good. Other customers were going thru the same wait. I understand the trouble places are having getting help but they need to adjust their staff placement. 4 people on drive thru and one working the inside?? plus she was having way too much fun talking with someone who appeared to be a friend of hers. The management of this place is not good. It will be sometime before we go back for a meal if ever. read more
