    Getting ready to Fly
    Patrick E.

Regarding the "experience"... Before you read any further, here's my advice... JUST DO IT!!! I'll admit, even I was on the fence, after reading the negative Nancy fears about "the scary ppwk", but; it's there to protect the company from Idiots (and if you're not an Idiot, you'll be fine!) After reading all the negative reviews, I felt compelled to write my own... My story- I drove a Ferrari in Raleigh NC last year, with my best friend of 22 years, (we were 28). He drove the Lamborghini, and it was a memorable experience; we both loved it!! I should mention, that since he is an active duty Marine, he was given 3 BONUS LAPS, as a thank you for his military service. And he didn't ASK; they offered. (Sounds like a shady company to me, right??). Give me a break Both our instructors were awesome, skilled and professional. They even stuck around for 20-30 mins to show us around the cars/ take our photos, and talk about their history with the company and how they got involved. (Apparently, many of them OWN their own exotic cars, and they do this for fun.) And they did not push for tips. It's called "gratuity". Adults know about this. So tip if you enjoy it. And if not, go say what you didn't like. If your concern is legit, maybe they will fix it. So; HOW many people can actually say they have even SAT IN, let alone DRIVEN a supercar!!?? Maybe 3-5%... maybe?? To all you Nay-Sayers (especially the ones who leave a bad review and have never even made the effort to show up? Seriously??). Make the effort, and you could have enjoyed it. I mean, you're kidding, right? You didn't even give yourself the CHANCE to enjoy it. Writing a one star review about something you have never done? Well that is bad form & low class (or however else you want to say it)- Like "Oh, I don't like/hate flying/sushi/dating" ... Really? And you've never done it? Children. Anyway, I tried to think of what "Captain Obvious" might say... here goes; "Uhh, Anyone who is naive enough to think they can drive a $200,000 automobile without ANY restrictions, for $200; SHOULD NOT BE allowed ANYWHERE NEAR THESE incredible Machines!!" *** I should add, that this is a real review, written by a REAL customer, (you know "instead of people who lie on the Internet" ). *** I even bought the T-shirt!! (Yes, for $25 lol) Now, IF you seriously think, that this experience is to be allowed to "fully open a 500-700 HP machine on a racetrack, unrestricted", then again; you think like a child. You don't KNOW HOW TO DO IT!! But you "think you can" right? As for the false/misleading advertisement complaints about holding their events it in a "race track parking lot"; first off; it's SMART advertising (hey they got your attention, right??) I guess maybe they should have chosen Chuckie Cheese to host. And secondly; WHERE would you like to drive Genius? The open road/freeways...? THE NÜRBURGRING??? If that is your wish, then dream on, bc clearly you don't realize the value of these cars and the risk involved. These guys TOUR all over and they book "closed courses"- On yes; BIG SAFE PARKING LOTS. (Ours was at the NC State Fairgrounds.) And the orange cones make it so you don't play bumper cars! But, if you TRULY WANT a "track experience", then be prepared to shell out $1,500 to $2,000 minimum for a FULL DAY LEARNING, before you even begin to get confident enough to drive a supercar. UNTIL THEN, pay for the $200 groupon. Its quick, but It's worth the $200. And if you CAN'T AFFORD IT, then DON'T COMPLAIN!! Think about the fact that these guys are giving any Joe Blow, the chance to drive a FERARRI. And you are ruining it for other people who don't even take the chance, based on your negative reviews. Keep your heads in the sand, and those of us who use our brains, will keep enjoying a true "Thrill Ride". My only regret (like many I have read); I didn't drive the extra 3 laps. But you know what? It left me wanting to do it again; which is exactly what I'll be doing in 30 days- in Sunny San Francisco. In short; "You can't please EVERYONE" (especially self serving/entitled Children!) but there is a REASON that these guys are in still in business!! They are good at what they do, and it's a blast. If you are convinced, I hope you have as much fun driving, as I did. Patrick E.

Red Ferrari and White Lamborghini. If you ever have to struggle with this choice, choose the Lambo!

Oh my Lord! This was the most fun I've ever had. I don't think I can go back to roller coasters for my dose of adrenaline after driving the Lamborghini! When my drive was over I had to sit in the seat for a like 30 seconds just to catch my breath and let my heart calm down. It was fluttering like crazy! Such a rush. It's pricey, yes.. buy WELL worth it. Thanks guys!

Bottom line, this is worth the $330 (Groupon rate with extra laps and an extra lap for my 6 year old with the pro and video and hat and tip).

(Great, because that's the only reason I picked this company - was specifically looking for this service.) Actual: arrive at train station, call, call, call, no one answers except the big corporate office who says they can't connect us to this small office. Finally take a cab there with toddler in tow and hear this from the lady who processed the rental: "Pick up? No we don't ever do pick ups here." Car itself was brand new, clean and ran well. Crappy toddler carseat but they always are. Guy was nice enough to help me install it even though he insisted that they don't usually do this. Return at alternate location (for an extra fee, to Logan airport) was smooth, although guy said: "I'm unable to give you a receipt right now. We'll have to email you. 24 hrs later, still no email. I have no idea what we were charged and if it matched the initial price they gave us. Sooo, car was fine but customer service felt like lots of lies and runarounds. We'll look for a different rental service next time.

Last night of vacation, car would not start....called Hertz's emergency road side service - long story short, 4 hours later and no service came! We were hung up on 3 times, waited 4 hours to be abandoned by Hertz! We prepaid our reservation to be told "pre payments can not be refunded" !!!! The best Hertz can do is add 750 points (= 1 day rental) to our account for next time! According to their records "ERS called you back and you did not answer" - we were at their mercy and we aren't going to answer their phone? According to Hertz, they mechanically review all cars before they are put in the lot, yet Hertz's manager tells us "the previous customer did not let us know the problems, so we just washed and buffed the car and put it on the lot"!!!! I think you get the picture of our experience - DO NOT PREPAY, don't count on their emergency roadside service and be prepared to be lied to and end up with absolutely nothing but aggravation from Hertz!

So glad I did--it was a smooth experience from start to finish! I arrived right when they opened at 8am on a time crunch to make it to a 9:30am job interview- I was a little nervous about timing since I'd heard stories of other customers needing to head to the airport, but nope the location was right at Government Center! Dianne was a breeze to work with--she explained everything clearly, from paying for a toll pass (I brought my own E-Zpass, phew!) to making sure I filled up the gas tank and brought back the receipt, or else I'd face an extra charge. Bill in the garage was friendly and efficient when I picked up and dropped off the car/keys. When I returned the car, Dianne asked how my job interview went and was genuinely sweet and supportive. It's those little things that make a difference! All in all, my Budget/Avis rental for 4-5 hours was seamless, hassle-free, and dare I say pleasant hahaha! Would absolutely rent from them again.

Horrible service. I approached them in person few weeks ago,…read moreshowed all my documents and asked if I can rent a car with physical debit card. The lady assured me that I can. I asked her to do the booking, but she said it does not work like that, and I should just come in the morning and pick up my car. And than I approach and her colleague, who says that he is "not going to contact anyone, you just can't do that with a debit card". Do not trust this company and their employees. But, eventually, I believe it may be good that I did not get a car from them as I heard very bad comments about the process of the car returned.
