This place is newly renovated and cute but they tack on so many unnecessary up-charges. They charge you $5 for putting on tips AND then they charge you $5 for "length". Thats kind of the same thing but whatever. They charge $5 for shape. Getting white tips is a $15 charge. I took my niece here and it was $85 for just regular French nails. I come here for pedicures but got one today and she didn't even massage my feet. She put the scrub salt on my leg without ever putting water on it first it was just weird and uncomfortable. After searching for the last couple of months, I think I finally found my nail spot in Dallas. I set up a 3:30 appointment for a powder dip and pedicure. I wasn't able to have anyone start my pedicure until 4, but the owner let me know why they were running behind and was apologetic. All the staff there were friendly and I could tell they all work very well together. I went with the deluxe pedicure and was skeptical of paying $40 but once Nail Bae worked on them, I found it was worth the price tag! My pedi came out very pretty and my legs and feet felt amazing. My powder dip also came out very nice. I love when I can get a dip and my nails aren't too thick. Suzanne did a great job! I started calling at 4:53pm trying to get a pedicure appointment... everyone shut me down...No, No, No! I was at my wits end and my 5th call was to the Nail Bar The Colony. An Angel answered the phone at 5:13pm and said, "We close at 6pm, we have Celine who is with a client but said she would take you. " Music to my ears. I shed a tear and went on. Most people have an attitude at the end of the day. Celine, however, was nothing but pleasant. While majority of the staff was friendly unfortunately the woman who did my nexgen was not the friendliest. She was irritated the entire time she was doing my nails making me feel very uncomfortable. I was rushed out the door are they were beginning to close. I'm not crazy about the shape the nails were very thick and poorly shaped, flat not rounded. When I mentioned the shape she was irritated that I would say anything. I'm a cosmetologist and if my client never told me their preference I wouldn't be successful. My pedicure started with a gentleman doing the service and then a woman took over and did the painting. The pedicure was kinda of relaxing, but the paint job was terrible, they charged me for a FULL GEL manicure on top of charging me for deluxe pedicure just because i wanted gel nail polish they also did not disclose this pricing addition to me. She truly listened to what I wanted and did my nails in a way that would last the longest and would actually save me money, without me needing to come right back in (I've never had a nail place do that--thank you!!!). the worst nail dip I have ever had!!! it was bumpy, very thick, so thick it went over my cuticle some! I asked many times to fix it and her response was "trust me, i know how to do this". I called and spoke to Carol, the owner who did not care one bit. please be warned; this is the worst exeri I have ever had with getting my nails done. First off, I was in the area only for the weekend for a wedding. I had a shellac manicure and a pedicure. Let's review each one. The picture is taken less than 24 hours after. My shellac manicure was okay at the best. But they painted it on so thick that it wasn't completed dried when I left (which was a while...see below) so it chipped and smudged and just looked awful 2 hours after I left. I would normally return to have them fix it, but by then was under a time constraint before the wedding. The pedicure...oh the pedicure...the first lady had no idea what she was doing. There was NO WAY she was licensed, which is extremely concerning!! I had no idea what she was doing. They could clearly tell I was about to ask for a manager and complain when they changed out the person. The new person did a much better job, but I had already been there for too long. I was still charged full price, however had sub-par results. I am normally not one to complain and write negative reviews, but I would definitely not recommend this place to any one. read more

I pointed out before getting seated there were nails all over the floor so he went and swept them off. The towel on the manicure table looked moldy, and none of the tools were sterilized. He just used his old tools. While doing my nails, he was on FaceTime helping someone else figure out, which color product to use.
