I came in for a simple Gel-X removal and nail trim, and it turned into one of the worst nail experiences I've had. Hannah cut the skin on multiple fingers, and my fingers were actively bleeding. I could literally see my blood on the nail file she was using. Instead of stopping or switching tools, she continued filing. Even now, my fingers are still sore the next day. She did not properly remove the Gel-X. Instead of soaking it off, she kept aggressively filing, leaving patches of product still on my nails. My nails were left scratchy, uneven, damaged, and bloody. To make it worse, I was charged $25 for a "manicure and removal." No polish was applied, the Gel-X wasn't fully removed, and when I asked what the "manicure" consisted of, she said it was cutting my cuticles. So apparently they charge $20 just to cut cuticles--poorly and painfully. I am extremely disappointed and upset. Basic hygiene, safety, and proper technique were completely ignored. Gel-X removal is not complicated, yet it was handled carelessly and caused actual injury. I will not be returning, and I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for safe or professional nail care. read more

Very disappointed this place opens at 9:30. I've been sitting here since nine to wait for them to open only to find out that the lady who does nails is not coming in until two. Why have a nail salon open at 9:30 and then the person who does the nails isn't coming in until 2 PM I love coming here because the prices are good and she's good at what she does but why have an opening time but nobody's even here to do any services for you until 2 PM. They do all types of services including of course nails, wax, eyelash extensions, facials and fun manicure and pedicure packages with or with out your friends and even kid services! Their nail services include acrylics, ombré nails, pink and white, white tips, full set, overlay, gel x, gel builder, gel manicure, dip powder and French tip gel. I went with the Royal Spa Pedicure that includes the basic pedicure-shape nails, clean cuticles, callus treatment, sea salt mask, paraffin treatment, hotel towel, gel polish, and a 15 minute massage and that made my day so much better!!! Worse manicure ever! Started out the tech pinched my finger in the chair. It took two hours and still my nails are not even. Several nails are square on one side and rounded on the other side. She tried to fix them but it just got worse. Lastly she filed the sides and tops of all my nails after they were all done. She literally was filing my skin and the polish she just put on! One time I was doing laundry next door with my roomate and while our clothes were drying he said "hey lets get a pedicure." I had never had one so i thought i'd give it a shot. We walked in sat down put our feet in some blue water and tried to relax.Then for some reason the girl next to me was reading a Playboy and she asked if I wanted it when she was done and I declined. Then I thought she is totally going to think I like men because I declined Playboy and im with a guy getting a pedicure. I felt bad for the lady doing my pedicure because on laundry day i forgot that the short i wore had a biggggg hole in the downstairs area and her head was pretty close to that area when she was leaning forward. They all spoke vietnamese to each other and one would look at me and say "she likes your eyebrow." Overall, very entertaining first experience and the foot rub/leg massage felt great. read more

Came here for gel nails. Fairly cheap, $23 for gel. First thing i noticed was a little chihuahua in doggy clothes barking at me! I wasn't offended that there even was a dog in a nail salon because I love animals....and dog friendly places.. Have been coming here for 6 years and won't let anyone other than Cindy touch my nails. I'm very particular with the shape that I like for my nails and Cindy never fails to disappoint and always gives me exactly what I ask for. She takes her time and is really sweet. The ladies that do the pedicures are the same way. They always ask if the temperature of the water is ok and make sure I like what I pay for before I walk out. They use a drill to get the dead skin off my feet which is awesome cause I have really dry skin. Overall they do good quality work and the only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because the shop isn't the prettiest to look at but they do good work. read more

Took my car to HB Toyota for a maintenance and had 2 hours to kill. I decided to Yelp nail salon and this was on top of the list. Called in to check how much their gel nails were and it was the cheapest in the area for $23. I came in and Cindy the owner helped me right away. She took off my previous gel manicure gently which I love unlike other salons who were always rough of them. How Cindy cut and shaped my nails to the perfect square shape was awesome! Best square I've ever had. Our conversation was really nice. She's a hard working single mom of 2 teenagers. She's the 1st nail technician that didn't talk bad about their clients. Bravo..!! I like how she heat up the lotion for the hand massage and added the hot towel. Thank you Cindy for a great time. My family and I have been coming to The Nail Spa for years and we LOVE this place. The ladies are always super friendly, remember our preferences and do incredible work. Before I started going to the Nail Spa, I had gone to another place a few blocks away that was much cheaper, but trust me when I say you get what you pay for. The quality of the work here is SIGNIFICANTLY better - Cindy does the absolute best full set, and they have various colored powders and tips available. Also, the hot oil spa pedicures are like bliss after a long week of work and if you're doing a full set w/ pedi, they'll come to you and do both at the spa chair. Seriously, I think I've started dozing off in the chair a couple times - it's truly that relaxing. The prices are pretty typical for the area - the service is not (and I mean that in the best of ways). Really, the second time I ever came in (a few years ago), they remembered who I was by name. I had gone to the other place for years and they didn't so much as recognize me or anyone else that came in. My bi-weekly trips to the Nail Spa are like little escapes and they're the perfect self-reward. Give them a try! read more

The Nail Spa is your typical whole in the wall nail salon. Nothing fancy, no frills, no champagne, or high standards. Which is ok by me because I wasn't looking to spend a lot of money for my bi-weekly pedicure. Being my first time, I didn't ask for pricing because I assumed it was your typical $15 for a pedi considering it wasn't "high end". Upon walking in, I was ushered to sit in the spa seat that EVERY nail salon offers. Water pours in over my feet and it was then that I was shown the card with the $25 price tagThe kicker was, they charge $25 because you're getting the "spa treatment" You get a 10 minute massage and a little callus removal. Again, nothing extraordinary. To top it off, the nail polish started peeling on the second day so you can imagine how I felt. After tip my bill was $28Needless to say, I won't be returning because this place is not worth a $28 pedicure. Either I got ripped off or people that like this place enjoy dishing out lots of $$ for poor quality. The search continues for a quality nail salon. read more

I am not impressed with this place at all. Maybe My standards are too high for people to reach, but I think I'm going to just do my own nails from now on. First, she cut my thumb and it bled for about 5 minutes as she tried to hide the fact from me by not letting me look at the little cut. She didn't get all the dirt out from under my nails. Then she didn't buff my nails out before she started painting them and when I pointed it out to her that there were visual bumps in the paint she started clipping my cuticles again... Maybe she's going blind? If so, she ought to wear glasses. As I was leaving I had to ask another lady to give me some fingernail polish remover so that I could get the color off my skin around my nails and there is still dirt under my nails even now. My friend took me here for a mani / pedi birthday treat. The service was really great, I had someone working on my hobbit feet and I had another person working on my hands. It felt like I was getting the royal treatment and the women were so friendly. They were very cute, funny and easy to talk to and I didn't feel uncomfortable at all. My feet felt fabulous and clean but my manicure was alright. As for the shop it was alright. The place could look like it would need a bit of a pick-me-upper. Repaint some areas (it looked a bit dull, like the business has been around for a while and is due for some repainting). And they didn't have a lot of nail colors that popped out as 'ooooh, I want that color', they were mostly 'eh' The way the women interacted with us you can tell they are really passionate about connecting with their customers and getting to know them. They're that typical little shop that you would go to for a nice treat for yourself with a woman who can listen to you vent and relax about your day. To sum this up I would rate the friendliness of this place 5 stars. But the craftsmen work of my nails were alright. I really wish it was better because the women were so nice. I would come back here in the future just for a nice chit chat and a pedicure but I wouldn't call this my favorite nail salon. It was just A-OK in my opinion. read more
