The bread is fantastic--crusty, fresh, and authentically French. They also have an incredible selection of beautiful pastries, cakes, and other classic French treats that look like they came straight out of a Parisian pâtisserie. And the coffee is absolutely exquisite. One thing that always makes me smile is that while the pastries look and taste authentically French, they're definitely American-sized! They're enormous. If you're hungry, you're in for a treat. More often than not, I'll enjoy half of one there with a coffee and take the rest home in a box for later. It's a wonderful little café with a relaxed atmosphere and a great place to sit and unwind. If you're in the Apple Valley area and looking for something a little different--something with a genuine European feel--I can't recommend Café de Paris highly enough. I really do judge a place by how well they can do a croissant, and this place does them very well!! The employees were very polite but for some reason my order took almost 15 mins to fill... I watched them pull the items from the case, so I'm not sure why it took them so long to do the order. There was only one other person who ordered after me and she had a drink and a box of pastries too... she received her items first. As for the space, it is bland and feels like an old Carribou coffee.... There really wasn't anything that felt "Paris or French" here. Very bland and not very cozy. This is specifically a coffee review. I have loved Bellecour in the past, specifically the downtown…read morelocation. But my experience at the Edina location today was very disappointing. The cafe is remodeled and super cute with a fair amount of seating and the food coming out of the kitchen looked good. They have walk up service where you order at the counter and I just wanted a simple iced almond latte. I waited 20 minutes for it. And I was not the only one. The young girl at the front counter finally had to go in the back to find the barista because a lot of people were waiting for drinks. It's summer so a lot of iced drinks being ordered but they were not prepared and they ran out of lids for their iced cups so were using regular cups. And the latte literally just tasted like cold almond milk. :( I was already running late for my hair appointment because of the long wait so didn't have time to go back in to get them to remake it. I will not be going back there for coffee.

The atmosphere was relaxing and filled with positive energy - people catching up, on a first date, or even reading. I am excited to come back to try more pastries variations & grab a coffee.
