Their space is cute modern chic, high ceilings, bright & salty... hehee such a Newport phrase it seems :P Definitely difficult to park, was a 1 minute walk from our hotel, so0o lucky. Got there around 10am and had to order as to-go since no tables, but the attendant said we could surely take a seat if someone leaves. Was eyeing the seasonal strawberry milk lattes but that limited edition has ended huhuu ordered food first & had to take a seat to sift the entire drink menu to decide & alas got the FRUITY LOOP drink! So0o freakinnn cuuuute & spot on taste, just like the cereal! Lalaaaved the English muffin buttered toast with berries & honey... and golly gosh, the monstrous portion of their mushroomie bowl is AHHHMAZING. This cafe was overall an amazing experience! The nitro cold brew was delicious with a great chocolatey flavor! The sourdough toasts were a great way to start the day because they tasted amazing and were not too heavy!! We were quickly served at the counter and decided to dine in! Incredible local coffee shop you'll definitely want to stop at. Now I see why they're all over my FYP and it's not just cause they're funny as hell and good with social media marketing - the food and drinks actually slap. We visited twice on our trip and ordered some of their summer specials like the Strawberry Milk Latte and Orange Vanilla Latte. Soooo good!! House made syrups and unique flavor combos really make the difference when we're visiting local coffee shops. Wow, there's a reason this place came so highly recommended and there was a constant line out the door! They make a delicious nitro cold brew - easily the best I've ever had. So creamy, smooth and flavorful! I saw lots of people ordering lattes, which I'm sure are delicious as well. But given how amazing the cold brew was on its own, I would recommend getting it in its pure, unadulterated form. And I'm someone that can take or leave breakfast sandwiches. On a dreary Friday coffee was needed... even if I don't drink caffeine, I still like the taste and there is something comforting about a warm beverage. Unfortunately, the Nitro Bar doesn't have decaf anything. However, they do have chai (I figured that out after leaving). I asked the bartender what he recommended and he really wasn't sure what to recommend but he was super nice. I ordered a small vanilla latte and it was delicious! Nitro bar in Newport is amazing!! I have been following them on TikTok for at least three years before finally driving up to RI. Coffees were amazing and my friend who got the matcha said it was really good as well. I got the nitro for my mocha, and my friend got the espresso for her mocha. Nitro was better IMO but both good. Around $6-7 for a drink but def worth it. Line was long outside but moved pretty quickly, staff was super nice as well. Definitely stop by when you're in RI!! read more

Came here on a Friday morning for breakfast and every table was packed with people doing work, so thankfully was able to sit at the counter right in front of where the coffee was being made. I am currently addicted to their seasonal Pumpkin Spice Latte (#basic, whatever), but you can't go wrong when all of their syrup flavors are made in-house from scratch. I'm not a huge PSL fan outside of this one, but Nitro Bar has made me a believer. As for tea options, the Fruit Loop Tea is phenomenal (Blue Butterfly Peaflower Tea, Almond Milk, and Vanilla.. tastes like cereal milk!), and always a favorite when I'm looking for something calming to drink after a long day of work. They also have an amazing food menu (Kitchen till 1 PM weekdays, 3 PM weekends) turning out classic coffeehouse staples (Avocado Toast elevated to the next level on local sourdough bread with house pickled onions) and creative options with culinary flair (Local scrambled egg bowls with RI made sausage, cheddar, and veggies) - if you can make it in time for food, it's not to be missed! I also love their Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies ~ chewy, crisp, chocolatey perfection ~ bet you can't eat just one! Service is quick and friendly, and even after one visit, you'll start to feel like a regular. The atmosphere is serene and warm, with sun dappled seating at marble tables (looks great for Insta!), making it an ideal place to catch up over coffee with friends, grab a quick bite, or do some work on your laptop. Ordered the strawberry whole milk matcha and was unfortunately disappointed with the taste, especially given the price (7 or 8 dollars plus tip). The quality of the milk was high but the richness and strawberry flavor dominated the matcha, so the overall profile didn't feel very well balanced -- perhaps a strawberry compote would have been better? I've been to Nitro Bar a few times because the coffee is consistently good smooth, well balanced, and honestly one of the better brews in town. So I really wanted to love this place. But every time I go, the vibe is just off. The atmosphere feels less welcoming The employees have that "mean girl" energy aloof, borderline rude, and definitely not interested in being friendly. It's one thing to be cool and trendy, but when it crosses into dismissive and unwelcoming, it really kills the experience. Coffee shops are supposed to feel warm and chill, not like you're being judged for existing. I totally get that it's a busy spot things move fast, and I don't expect over-the-top friendliness. But even when it's slammed, there's a basic level of courtesy that should be there. You shouldn't feel uncomfortable just trying to order a coffee. read more
