We love this place! Finally tried it after driving by so many times. Went last wednesday and waited 40 minutes for a table but it was worth it. Our server was the sweetest and always stopped by our table. They only have outside seating but they have the cutest patio! We had their side salads which were huge and yum! they have so many different types of pizza, anyone would be happy! Their pizzas were so good and even better the next day! Can't wait to come back!

Oh my gosh I'm so glad I finally made it to Nona!! It was soo good! The best pizza in town! The place was packed for a weeknight, live music and great food what more could you ask for?! The service was quick and the pizza was amazing! I highly recommend but just know they usually have a long wait if it's a weekend. I also love that they sell pizza by the slice and not just a full one! Highly recommend going here!

I come here so often and always the best pizza experience. I start with an amazing cheese slice as an appetizer while o wait for the Detroit red top. The cheese slice is so good, you can taste all the herbs in the sauce. This alone is reason to come here. But then add in the Detroit red top with that burnt cheese crust and sauce on top: Heaven! My wife loves all the flavors of Vege slices which change weekly. Love this place

Me and the fam came here on a Sunday afternoon on a whim and we were so glad we decided to stop in! It was very hot outside, but this outdoor seating space didn't feel like it was blazing out - they have a good amount of fans to keep the air circulating in the seating area thankfully. The menu has so many different styles of pizza to choose from, we ordered the Olde World Style, The Honey Cup - it was delicious, would definitely order this again. We also ordered the Stuffed Peppadews, the ricotta inside the peppers is so creamy and really pairs nicely with the peppers. Another big hit at the table were the Meatballs in Marinara - the meatballs were big, and the ricotta comes with this as well and again was delicious - the sourdough bread was great, our baby loved it and ate pretty much all of it! The service was also fantastic - our waitress was super friendly and accommodating, quick to give recommendations and tell us about all the good stuff on the menu!

Everybody who loves pizza has a preference for different styles. Some loves the good old New York style, some the hearty Sicilian, some the cracker-thin flatbread... Amazingly, at Nona you can find them all under one roof. Well, except for Chicago style. We had an old world and Detroit style. I love Detroit for its cheesy crust. These are good pizza. Not sure about the "best" claim, but we all enjoyed the food. Our waitress was really nice too.

Fantastic!! I've never had Detroit style pizza before so we tried it. I have no idea if it was authentic Detroit style, but what I know, is that it was excellent! They fermented the bread for three days so it's super fluffy. The biggest takeaway was that everything they make uses top quality ingredients. You can taste it in the sauce, cheese and bread. Even the house salad (small was really large) had very fresh vegetables and good quality olives etc.. Casual atmosphere and a reasonably decent beer selection which included several craft drafts. We'll be back!

We split a Margarita pizza and salad which were both delicious. This pizza place is located in downtown safety harbor and was super busy on a Sunday as they had live music. Outside dining option and good service at the bar. Good draft beer choices included local and international options However, we felt they were a little understaffed with the high number of customers. Be prepared to wait a little.

We were in Tampa for the day and decided to find a local pizza place to try (as we always do). The NONA Slice house did not disappoint. First, seating is outside. So if you're not from FL (we are) the heat can quickly overwhelm you so come prepared in the summer. Our waitress was fantastic. She was clearly powering through the heat, but had great energy and checked in often. The food was amazing. We ordered the Garlic Knots, the Honey Cup large, and the Parma sandwich. Garlic knots were baked well, doused in garlic, Parmesan, and olive oil, and served with a simple and tasty marinara. The Parma was rich from the olive oil and cheese, but the pizza dough style bread was crispy and cooked perfectly. And then the pizza. This thing was huge (18"). It was cooked to perfection. Crust was crispy all the way through, and nice and thing. Perfect amount of toppings, including the hot honey drizzle that just sent this pizza over the top. I've been to more than 50 pizza places, this is my new favorite spot. I will gladly drive from Orlando on a random weekend to hit up this pizza spot.

One of the better pizzas in Safety Harbor! The restaurant itself seems to be very busy which is normally a great sign. I got the Detroit style cheese and sauce pizza and their wings. The pizza was phenomenal and so were the wings. The pizza was crunchy on the outside and airy on the inside. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend it!

Well...I tried about 6 pizza places while on vacation in the area. Not a particularly big "pizza" state but Portnoy rated this place as the best in the area. He was right. I tried a Detroit style pizza and it was above average but nothing to write home about. This Margherita pizza on the other hand was delicious. It's not the best I've ever had but it's in the top handful. Crust was perfect, sauce was mildly sweet. Excellent pizza. The restaurant itself is mostly outside and was obnoxiously loud and hot. Didn't love that but pizza is worth it! I ate the entire thing myself. Oops. 8.5/10

The best pizza around! This is not your basic pizza joint. Chicago, NY, old style and more. My favorites are the margarita and death by pepperoni. Amazing people, atmosphere, live music, cool place, great wine list!

I came to the Nona slice house during happy hour on a Monday, and to my surprise it was fairly busy and they had live music! I sat at the bar and got the two slice special with a soda for $9.50 which is a great deal. I got one pepperoni and one specialty slice which they switch up daily. The pizza was crispy and delicious and came out hot & fresh. I'll definitely be back for the deep dish.

My go to pizza spot! Forewarning there's usually a way but it's worth it. The slice of the day veggie and meat is always so good. And the garlic knots are to die for. there's a pizza for everyone and the service is fairly quick. Plenty of seating for big and small groups and really hones in on the small town vibe.

What's the difference between red top Detroit and pepperoni by death if I added pepperoni to the red top?

Death By Pepperoni has 3 different types of pepperoni. It's really good!

    How is parking?

Parking is tough. There are some spaces across the railroad tracks along the side of the building. Otherwise it's on-street and limited.

The waiter told me the cauliflower pizza has no flour. Is that true? It was so delish, I have to know bc this would be something I can have more of if that is true.

That is correct. We also offer a Detroit style pan pizza which is completely gluten free also.

Are dogs allowed in the outdoor area?

    Yes

    Do they have outdoor cooling?

just ceiling fans. It's all outdoor seating

There weren't many people inside on a Saturday afternoon, so this is probably more of a grab and go type place. I got a Caesar Salad and added shrimp. I wasn't a huge fan. I didn't like the dressing, so this is a warning to future self not to get the Caesar Salad. Since they don't have many other appetizing looking salads (only a garden salad and a greek salad), this will probably stop us from dining in again. The menu says that all salads come with homemade bread. At first they didn't bring it to me, so I asked and they brought it. I wasn't a huge fan of the bread, I wouldn't have been able to tell it was homemade. However, my kids did enjoy it. My husband got the chicken parmesan grinder and it comes on a giant loaf. This message is for future Brandon, not to get it again. However, if you aren't counting calories in any way, shape, or form, then it's pretty good. One kid got a cheese pizza kids meal and the other got a chicken tenders and fries. Randomly, drinks aren't included so the addition of drinks were normal priced drinks. I wasn't a huge fan of the fries. The kids ate some of their food, but I think mainly ate my bread. Overall this wasn't the best meal, but there also wasn't much wrong, which is why I'm giving it three stars.
