Buffalo chicken salad
Paulina A.

I'm writing this as i'm eating because i've never had such a good buffalo chicken salad before! So good!!

Falafel & Rice Bowl and a side of Pasta Salad
Oscar R.

The food was really good. I ordered the rice bowl with falafel. The ambiance is chill with lots of seating arrangements. The service was really fast. They gave me my food order through Grubhub within 10-13 minutes. Also there was more lettuce salad in the rice bowl than rice--not taking points off but something I noticed if you're hoping for a lot of rice. Maybe that's how they prepped for me today. First time try!

Cheeseburger and fries combo.

The line was long and slow. They only had 1 cashier during lunch rush around noon. Although it is the beginning of the semester so this place is bound to be crowded. The interior has nice brick walls and a projector tv that was playing a football game. The prices are reasonable here. It was about $10 for a cheeseburger combo. I got a cheeseburger combo with regular fries and a Dr. pepper to go. I got in line around 12:20pm made it through the line at around 1pm, received food at 1:10pm. So it wasn't too bad. They seemed short staffed which is why the wait and line was long. As for my food, the fries were thick but still crispy. My cheeseburger was tasty and the veggies were fresh. It was a nice lunch on campus, especially since I have had most of the other food options before. Happy this place opened up again.

Pepperoni and mushroom pizza
Devon N.

When I get hungry my standards are pretty low but lord was this pizza horrendous. Was ordering a pizza and expecting something remotely circular but wasn't even close. Had 0 marinara in it so it was basically just cheese bread with pepperoni and mushrooms on it, more grease on it than sauce. Staff is good, no complaints on that end. Tables are regularly cleaned and there's a tv playing so i guess there's that. Will be back for a sandwich next time but never waste your money on the pizza.

The pub burger is actually really good esp. with chipotle barbecue sauce

Mid week when we arrived which wasn't too crazy. There was no one on the patio which was nice as it gave us first choice for a seat...lol... Everyone was seating inside. The place itself isn't that big. You have the bar area with some bar seating. Then there's a couple of tables inside and of course the patio which is along the sidewalk. Personally I prefer sitting outside for the people watching. The staff were all amazing and very friendly. Places like that make the experiences more enjoyable. You want someone who is friendly and respectful. As we were there early, we grabbed one of the beer which they have quite a good selection on tap. There's also wine if you're not into beer. When it came time to grab some food, we were able to get a table inside. Majority of the breweries tends to serve pretty much the same things, pizza sandwiches and salads. No complaints here. Simple food goes a long way. There were a couple of us so we grabbed a few things to share. Started off with the pretzel balls with cheese dip and honey mustard and the chips with queso cheese dip. Pretzel was tasty and outdid the queso dip. Pizzas of course which were pretty big in sizes. A couple of the pizzas and a salad did four of us with leftovers. Their Hawaiian pizza was quite tasty and was finished. We also ordered one of the mushroom pizzas with an egg. It was tasty but a little on the salty side. The arugula salad was delicious. Simple but tasty. And then there was ham pizza I believe with onions and peppercini. That was also a favorite of the night. Overall, the place was quite fun. Not a big brewery and more intimate. The crowd was great and as most places are very kid and family friendly. There was couple of kids when we arrived. Service was great. Food and drinks were enjoyed and the service and staff were excellent. Street parking available along the front but also along the neighborhood.

Or should one just go home, count your losses and present this thin sheet of overpriced blasphemy to the in laws who often need no reason to complain. This time one must agree with them. Just this once. Smell was the best part. Love the garlic. Everything was so black around the crust. Simply unappetizing and a huge dent in the weekly budget.

Fast forward to this past weekend for the USA World Cup game. We originally were planning on attending the street party that was happening on Pine Ave in downtown for the game. But when we arrived, there was a massive line just to get in. Just from the looks of it, the line didn't seemed to move and the game was starting. That's how we ended up here. The bar is just off the promenade in downtown. Clearly, there was no way we're waiting in the line for the street party. Instead, we remembered and seen this place. They too were showing the game so we walked in. There was a good amount of people on the patio area which they also had a television. Inside was a bit more mellow but it was picking up. With this bar, we got to sit down and enjoy the game with a nice cold beer. Happy hour was going on so they were having specials on drinks. Within minutes, it was starting to get packed as everyone was doing the same thing. Instead of waiting in line and the game was starting, this place was a better option. A nice open vibe bar. Plenty of seating inside as well as the outside patio which was pretty big as well. The ladies behind the bar were amazing. Busy as they were trying to take care of everything and everyone. Drink specials did sound nice but we opted for the happy hour beer. Bar area was quite roomy with communal tables as well a private table. Bar seating was great as the television was right in-front of you. The tufted leather seats, leather high top seats give it that cigar lounge. A cool spot right in the heart of downtown Long Beach. They didn't serve food but was informed that hat someone was serving classic hot dog and burger out front. Having walked in and enjoying this place, it was worth it. Also one of the bartender that worked at another place we've been to also worked here. The whole place was nice and greatly enjoyed. Will be back for sure.

We stopped by on a Wednesday evening which is also karaoke night so the energy was high and the place was PACKED. It was fun, but super hard to get a drink because there were only three bartenders working. By the time you made it through the wall of people to the bar, it was so loud that it was almost impossible to communicate your order. People were living for karaoke and it definitely seems to be on a regular rotation for some of the patrons. The Blind Donkey is definitely a place that you need to check out if you are in town and want a fun evening.
