First time eating at the restaurant and had high standards working a a country club before and they did wonderful! The atmosphere around our table was great from the big screen for sports, the bar, and all the tables around us. The food was delicious and we ate it all Our waitress was very sweet and talked to us allot about the area and food suggestions to give us. We did make a reservation and I would recommend since as we sat there talking It got busier after 5:30pm Way tags and thank you for making our first time great!

After lunch and a workout my wife and I decided to walk over to Oakmont, it was such a beautiful day in Flagstaff we were going to grab a couple cocktails and chill. We ordered a Gray goose martini and a house Manhattan on the rocks. What arrived was half full Martini ice on the side as we requested and at 3/4 full Manhattan glass that looked like weak iced tea I tasted this is my favorite drink it was horribly watered down my wife said taste my martini, i couldn't even taste alcohol we contemplated what to do the bar tender would not make eye contact with me I decided to close out the tab I got the bill $35 I wrote no tip on the tip line on the receipt, we just laughed and laughed as we walked home what a joke what a rip off I've eaten there many times I can say the food is marginal it's like bar food I think I'm scratching this one off my list forever. I wish I had taken photos... You can look at my reviews I really don't leave negative reviews I don't like to do that but 35 bucks what a rip off it's not right.

The service was really good and the views are nice for self-care while having a beverage. The food is typical of bar food so dont expect for it be over the top. Having said that, they prepare it nicely and there were no issues with the dish.

The weather was really nice and we ate on the patio!! Our service was excellent. Drinks took a little too long but our server was so good we barely noticed!! Definitely try the asparagus and the corn and avocado dip both were excellent!

The service and ambiance are fine. The wings were fine but the price is kind of a lot for mediocre wings. The only food that was slightly better was my mom's salmon that was perfectly cooked in my opinion. Everyone else's dishes didn't really impress me much. There are so many options in flagstaff it's just very limited on this side of flagstaff unfortunately. With oreganos being a chain and majority of all of Phoenix area it's like your pretty much stuck with oakmont being your only local spot on this side of town. Everything is fine just not mind blowingly delectable status.

This was an excellent restaurant! Beautiful views of the mountains and golf course. We came after hiking and were looking for a casual dinner spot. We were able to bring our dog on the patio which we loved. The nachos are some of the best I've had in years! The asparagus fries are also a must try. Excellent flavor! The happy hour specials were great as well. The service was excellent. Our server was really nice and gave wonderful recommendations. Highly recommend coming here if you're in Flagstaff! We can't wait to come back!

This place is quite nice. The food was fresh and had a nice difference from other restaurants in the area. My husband got the peppercorn steak and I got the chicken ceasar salad. The cocktails were excellent and so was the wine selection. I appreciated the attentive staff and nice ambiance.

We've never have a bad experience here! Our favorites are the tempura green beans! We love to sit on the patio in the summer. It's a great spot for families! We've also been during the winter and they have delicious themed cocktails, the cranberry Hugo was hands down my favorite.

Beautiful view, amazing service & food! Evelyn was AMAZING! Asparagus tempura, filet, Cajun pasta-Yum!Highly recommend!

First off the view was amazing! And Evelyn, our waitress was awesome!!! They were very nice about letting us sample some wine before we made our choice. The food came out quickly and was amazing! Small plate asparagus fries were excellent. And the filet was the most tasteful & tender I've had in a long time. Also loved the Cajun pasta. I highly recommend if you are in Flagstaff and want a great meal!!!

The restaurant itself was clean and had a stylish modern-meets-vintage vibe that made the atmosphere feel both cozy and upscale. Their cocktail menu was especially unique. I ordered the Vendetta Ride, and it was easily one of my favorite drinks of the night: light, slightly sweet, and finished with just the right kick. I absolutely loved it. The menu features creative contemporary American cuisine with an emphasis on sharing plates, which made the experience even more fun. We ordered two appetizers, two mains, and a dessert, and overall everything was excellent. My only critique would be the Duck Taquitos. The duck flavor was not there, and the mesquite mole sauce leaned too sweet for my taste. Aside from that, every dish impressed us. Overall, it was a fantastic meal and a great dining experience. I would highly recommend this spot if you're in Flagstaff!

Hospitality matters to me just as much as what's on the plate because great restaurants don't just serve meals; they create memories. Unfortunately, Shift became one I'll never forget for the wrong reasons. Our day couldn't have been further from what the staff assumed. We spent the morning hiking, went back to rest, explored a local bookstore, grabbed ice cream, and walked to our dinner reservation. Not one alcoholic drink had been consumed by anyone in our group the entire day. Not one. We also had a child with us. The only conversation we had with the host before being seated was asking whether it was okay that we had arrived about twenty minutes early for our reservation. We were polite, excited, and looking forward to dinner. Then my husband ordered a beer. The waitress immediately refused because she claimed the hostess believed my husbands speech and mannerisms meant he was intoxicated. Read that again. A guest who had consumed zero alcohol all day was judged to be intoxicated. I understand the responsibility restaurants have. If someone is genuinely impaired, absolutely don't serve them. Every responsible restaurant should protect its guests and its liquor license. But there is an equally important responsibility that seems to have been forgotten: making sure your judgment is actually right before labeling someone. There was no bar crawl. No cocktails beforehand. No wine tasting. No brewery stop. No hidden drinks. There wasn't even one drink. We left feeling embarrassed, confused, and honestly caught off guard. Not because a beer was refused, but because a person was reduced to an assumption based solely on how they naturally presented themselves. Here's what makes the experience even harder to understand. After leaving Shift, we walked to Atria, where we remained for approximately two hours. We talked, enjoyed ourselves, and spent the evening there without issue. If someone in our party had truly been intoxicated wouldn't that have been obvious there as well? It wasn't. Food can be good. Cocktails can be creative. Service can be polished. None of that matters if hospitality disappears the moment someone doesn't fit your expectation of what a guest "should" look or sound like. Maybe perhaps because we weren't locals we seemed off ? To anyone considering Shift, especially if you're traveling with someone whose speech, mannerisms, or disability could be misunderstood, know that this was our experience. I hope the restaurant reflects on what happened and asks itself a difficult question: How many guests have we mistaken for being intoxicated when, in reality, they simply communicated differently? Because that's not just a missed beer. That's a missed opportunity to treat someone with dignity. I came to Flagstaff excited to discover one of its most " creative" restaurants. Instead, I left wondering how quickly a restaurant built on hospitality could make a guest feel so unwelcome. Simply , because my husband is a restaurant manager in Las Vegas, who has managed restaurants like Yellowtail, Herbs&Rye, Gjelina, and Edo we left out of respect for the industry. However, we should have got our deposit automatically refunded. Next time, take the time. Take the time to care. If a staff member is under this assumption, management intervene not to just follow said assumption and repeat what she said, but to hold an actual conversation with your guest, to evaluate , to observe, to understand. I promise you, that would change so many things for you.

A Masterclass in Modern American Fine Dining…read more My recent dinner at Atria in downtown Flagstaff was, quite simply, an exceptional experience from start to finish. Chef Rochelle Daniel has created a space that perfectly balances upscale elegance with a warm, inviting atmosphere, making it a true standout in the region. We started the evening with their incredible oyster selection. The oysters with the cucumber granita were a masterclass in refreshing, clean flavors--a perfect, bright start to the meal. We also indulged in the oysters with caviar beurre blanc, which provided a stunning, decadent contrast; the richness of the beurre blanc paired with the briny pop of caviar was unforgettable. Another standout from the starters was the foie gras cornets--delicate, playful, and incredibly rich, they were a brilliant opening note for the palate. The beet salad was another highlight. Far from a simple starter, the charcoal-roasted preparation brought out a beautiful depth and earthiness, elevated by the perfect balance of creamy textures and crunchy toppings. For the main, the duck entrée was flawless. The skin was perfectly rendered, and the meat was incredibly tender, showcasing the kitchen's technical prowess. To complement the meal, we enjoyed a bottle of Michael David Inkblot Cabernet Franc. It was a fantastic choice--bold and velvety with those classic notes of dark fruit and a hint of spice that held up beautifully against the richness of the duck and the earthiness of the beets. What truly elevated the presentation was the stunning pottery. Every dish was served on beautiful, locally crafted ceramic pieces that added a tactile, artisanal feel to the table. It's a thoughtful detail that grounds the high-end cuisine in the spirit of Northern Arizona. We finished the evening on a high note with a round of perfectly pulled espressos and the coconut macaroons. The macaroons were the ideal final bite--crispy on the outside, wonderfully chewy on the inside, and just the right amount of sweetness to round out the experience. From the thoughtful presentation of every plate to the impeccable, knowledgeable service, everything about the evening felt intentional and memorable. Atria is not just a meal; it is a culinary experience that showcases the very best of Northern Arizona's ingredients. It is a must-visit.

I noticed they had a variety of dessert squares available, so I ended up choosing several of them to sample. One dessert that stood out to me appearance-wise was the Irish apple cake. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a little too dry and tasted very similar to a basic apple cinnamon cake. Overall, it wasn't anything special to me. I also tried their strawberry lemon bar, which I really enjoyed. This one was very good and had a nice balance of tart lemon flavor. The texture inside was tacky in a good way, and it made the dessert very yummy. Another square I tried was the Almond Joy bar, which was amazing. It had a base that seemed to be made with granola, topped with a sweet coconut cream layer, and finished with a thick layer of chocolate and shredded coconut. It was very tasty. The last dessert I tried was their bread pudding square. It was pretty good overall, but it wasn't anything special. I did find the bread pudding to be a little dry. Each dessert square was priced at about $4.50. The staff was really nice or friendly. On the positive side, parking was super easy since the bakery is located in the same plaza as Safeway.
