Can't stress how much we fell in love with this restaurant when we were visiting Flagstaff. Not only does this place have beautiful golf course views, but the food here was simply incredible. So what should you order? One of everything if you can afford it! Honestly my favorites were the Ceviche appetizer and the Chicken Sonoma entree, but we were a large group that likes to share food so every time a different app or entree was passed around, no one had any complaints. The food is just that good! I also have to comment on how much I loved the ambiance in this restaurant. We were visiting in November and they still had the most beautiful fall decor up which made the whole restaurant feel warm and cozy. The service was ok, but we waited for at least 30 minutes for our food. When we finally got it, the eggs Benedict and potatoes were cold. I should have said something but I didn't want to wait for them to do it over. My English muffin was hard, I needed a steak knife to cut it and the ham was dry and hard. Great view! Our friends with twin's the same age as our daughter, recommended this restaurant to us. Being able to sit and look out at the golf course was really neat for our family! Seems like it's a cool night hangout spot also - the bar was starting to pick up by the time we left our early dinner (before 6pm ). They have kids coloring menus for anyone wondering. The food was delicious! I got their French Onion Soup that was so fancy and so good! And their Grilled Cheese which was huge and hit the spot! The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because the service - although very friendly - tapered off at the end and left us waiting. I have to say it was one of the most delightful dining experiences we've had in a long time and Briggs had a lot to do with that. He was really amazing! If we were local, we'd be regulars. We had a very nice lunch on the patio, after a round of golf. Our waitperson, Evelyn, was great. She started by asking if we'd eaten there before. When we said "no," she asked if we wanted the quick description or the long one. We asked for the long one, and it changed both of our minds for our order. I had the Cajun Pasta, and my wife had the street tacos. I loved the pasta, but take care -- it is SPICY. I enjoyed the whole bowl, while needed an extra beer to cool my tongue. The Rock Shrimp street tacos were just as you'd like, in a nice soft blue corn tortilla, with nicely cooked and spiced (nowhere near the heat of the pasta, thank goodness), with plenty to eat. Came in last minute on a Saturday night. We were seated right away. The ambiance is nice and they have a nice sized bar. Our server Gabe was great. We ordered the soft pretzel (not pictured) but it was definitely our favorite dish on the table. We order the Korean Skirt Steak & the Umami burger with fries. The Korean Skirt Steak tasted okay. Her dish seemed like it was store bought frozen ravioli. My ribs tasted as if it was cooked days ago, frozen and thawed to serve a customer and the customer turned it down and then the restaurant froze the dish again and thawed it again to serve to me. Along the parts of the ribs where they were cut I could see some sort of onion dip from another dish. The ribs were tough and rubbery. The mashed potatoes looked like they were also made days ago and had a horrible consistency. Both the potatoes and beans looked like frozen and thawed puke. I took a few bites and could not finish it. I left almost the entire plate full and the waiter asked me if I wanted to box it up and I said "no". I would not feed that to a dog. To be clear it looks horrible and I still tried to give it a go with a taste and it tasted how it looked. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I appreciate the waiter, the look of the restaurant, and the appetizer but this should not be a full restaurant if they cannot make proper entrees.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They should stick to being a bar only and serve small plates. I really liked the atmosphere and setting as well as the convenience while staying at the Club Wyndham! I had the salmon dish which had a teriyaki glaze and was served with miso risotto, bok choy, and pickled shiitakes. I really liked the dish but given the ingredients it was destined to be pretty salty and I wish they could find a way to tone that down. Miso was a great, different take on risotto though so I would not cut that! The fish was cooked nicely with crispy skin on. The bok choy had a great char and flavor to it and was tender without being overcooked. I would have done a roasted shiitake rather than the cold pickle. Not a high end country club atmosphere - much more casual with TVs and country music. Kind of a classy Montana vacation vibe. I'd definitely return when staying at the Club Wyndham! read more

The Oakmont is a fun spot to enjoy the patio and is also good for team events because they have a big side room. We went for happy hour and I had the Conejo Luna, which was actually pretty disappointing. The Brussels sprouts were amazing though! Some of the best I've had lately. So... I found a new Flagstaff favorite after having dinner recently at The Oakmont. This is one of those reviews I'm hesitant to share as I don't want too many people to be "in the know" about how special this place is, but I want to support this business, so here you go... you're welcome! Note: this review is being written during the Covid-19 pandemic, and I have not been eating out at all, but because this place has an outside patio, has servers wearing masks, and has a great reputation, we headed over for dinner and had a five star experience. Emma was our server and she was fabulous. We had a party of 8... 4 adults and 4 kids. Everyone enjoyed - especially the kids because they had a beautiful area to play safely outside before and after our meal. We felt properly social distanced from others, but the place still had a fun vibe and beautiful view. Great drinks and food + fair prices too. I would totally order the market salad + salmon again, but my party also loved the wings, short rib, kids meals and more... Look forward to returning again soon! read more

The service was great, the food was very good, the layout of the restaurant was modern and well lit and there were a bunch of TVs showing March Madness. Came here in the evening when it was dark out and couldn't see the golf course view. The outdoor seating area is gorgeous, open, and spacious. We sat at one of the fire pits outside and loved it, only thing is keep your fire a little low, otherwise your plastic kids cups will melt, so just be aware. I did give our server some feedback to have the management maybe add some solar spot lights shining up the trees on the golf course to provide a nice view of the golf course at night. The service here was pretty nice and the nachos and Mexican street corn that I had was tasty and I would have that again anytime! We can't say the same for my husband's fish and chips. He said it was so overcooked and dried out that it had more of a texture of white meat chicken rather than a flaky fish. The restaurant is cozy and they had lots of TVs up for football games. We almost didn't spot it because it's in the back of the building but it opened up to a great area. The waitstaff was friendly enough and I don't have any complaints about them really.
