    7.50 load
    Maung S.

Hidden gem laundry mat. Recently moved out and at a place with no w/d in unit. Only one set small in facility, gratefully came from living in homes with w/d for the last two decades of my life, so I was extremely nervous reverting back to this way on my own. Did some Google research and found this, Howe and Hurley always make me feel uncomfortable especially that back corner parking lot where this is located. Coming here Saturday afternoon felt safe. I did one large huge load that fit the 7.50 and they have 8.50 too, lowest old school wash at 3 dollars. They even offer free drying machine too which is such a delight! I've never seen this before. I shouldn't announce this as I like it to be more secretive lol and so owner doesn't change anything up but wow so far so good and this business deserves the business. Not what I remember about laundry mats from when I was a teenager early 2000s. They even have tvs playing for distraction of laundry machines. And they offer laundry service drop offs. This is awesome!

People clearly finished with their laundry , and it sitting for days before they put it in the dryer.

Tenants said "they can't do anything about people leaving cloths in the washers for long periods after they finished because clients have threaten to beat them up for touching their stuff" smdh Besides them being able to pay with cards, this place is trash to me. They don't care about the clients actually considerate to others times. I'm taking my business elsewhere, you should too

Black stains that didn't exist on my awesome volunteer shirts prior to washing yesterday.

Do not wash your clothes here if you want them to be without stains and damage. Yesterday I washed my clothes and after taking out my clothes from the dryer they were stained with grease. One of my last of two pairs of pants I can wear at work, my favorite pair is ruined, now I'm down to one pair. The male working the counter last night said he's too new and doesn't know what to do. Said to come here tomorrow, the women working have been here 20 years and they may be able to help. Showed up today because my pants are ruined and this isn't right. Her response, "It's not our responsibility. It's the law, you are renting the machines and we are not responsible for them while you are using it. If we washed your clothes through the drop off service, it would be our responsibility that they were damaged. It's your duty to check the machines bettor use them." As a matter of fact, I check every single machine I use before every single use. I did not see any reason to not use that machine other than there was one small piece of rotten gum on the edge. And every single dryer in this place has gum in it. I have to pick my battles. I don't care if you believe that is "the law" that is not how you handle customer service. Pathetic business approach if you're going to tell me, "if we did that [stand by their service and issue a refund or pay damages] then everybody would do it." You can guarantee I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Apartment life sucks, can't wait to own. Using communal laundry machines sucks, especially with experience like this!

It's my first time ever going to the dry cleaners by myself as an adult so I had to google…read morebeforehand lol. It's not overly complicated--you go in, tell them you're dropping off, and they'll tell you whether they need to charge you extra for material that needs special care. I was greeted by a very sweet Korean auntie who was working the shop by herself. I felt bad coming in 20 mins before closing but figured it was okay since the point of the dry cleaners is for you to drop it off anyway. She inspected my gf's suede and pleather jacket and said those two she'd have to charge $65 for but then bumped it down to $45 each. I got on the phone with my gf to ask if that was okay, but she changed her mind. So then I told the lady it was okay, to just dry cleaners the other 2 jackets that were more straightforward. She was very sweet, she let me know that her niece (I think her name was Jeen) was going to be working on Thursday and to ask her if I could get a discount for the suede and pleather jacket. I told her thank you and paid with credit card. The subtotal was $31.50 for the two jackets and with the fee, total was $32.60. Like a previous review said--she didn't warn beforehand of the 3.5% credit card fee but it's to be expected of a mom and pop place. I'm not incredibly upset about that. Will update the review upon pickup. Hopefully everything turns out okay.

Five Star Cleaners & Tailoring did an amazing job with my wedding dress!…read more During our wedding, we took photos outside, and unfortunately, there was a little mud that got on my dress. On top of that, my cat must have been upset she wasn't invited, because a couple days after we returned home, she had a seemingly intentional accident in very close proximity to the dress. Although the dress was in a bag at the time, both the dress and the veil ended up with a slight odor to them. After that, I decided it was time to look into cleaning options. I had already been to Five Star in the past, so I used the Yelp project feature to reach out to them as well as a few other cleaners in the Sacramento area. They were very responsive and their pricing to clean and preserve the dress was very reasonable, so I decided to go with them. The turnaround time for cleaning was about a week, which is exactly what they estimated. They showed me the dress before it was boxed so I could confirm it was properly cleaned. There were no more mud stains, and the odor was completely gone! After I inspected the dress, they asked me to come back in a day or two after they had time to box it. It was wedding and prom season, so they were a little busy, and I told them I was in no rush to get the dress back. I went back a few days later and picked up a large box. There was an outer, regular, storage box and inside was a large preservation box that had a display window. It looked great! Oh, and to top it all off, I had originally only inquired about cleaning and boxing for the dress, but when I asked how much it would be to add the veil, they included it for free! Thank you!!

Do not come here!!!…read more If I could give zero stars, I would. I brought in a white Aritzia suit that had been worn once. There was one small mark on it, and I was told it could be taken care of. Instead, I got the suit back covered in gray and black marks throughout the garment. To be clear, I dropped off a suit with one minor issue and got back a suit covered in new ones. I picked it up, drove straight home, and as I was hanging it in my closet I started noticing mark after mark after mark. I immediately called because I was genuinely shocked by what I was seeing. They didn't care! No resolve! What is most frustrating is that nobody mentioned a thing when the suit was returned to me. A white suit covered in dark marks does not magically end up that way after leaving the store. Someone should have noticed. Someone should have said something. $400 and it had been worn once.... I trusted professionals to care for it, and it was returned in significantly worse condition than when I dropped it off. Now I have to take it to another cleaner and hope they can undo whatever happened here because I no longer trust this business to touch the garment again. Take your clothing elsewhere!!
