It tastes delicious and they had very generous servings. I ordered the seafood fondu and my sister and I shared that and she ordered the Caprese salad. Neither of us could finish our meals. The drink menu looked amazing and very tempting, even to me who doesn't even like alcohol all that much, however, since we were driving, we stuck with the ice water with lemon. This place is spectacular!!! Staff is super friendly!! Victoria( Tori) Katie was so sweet too!! Ordered the pesto chicken flat bread on cauliflower crust (as suggested) OMG!! Super crunchy, thin and yummy!! Hubby got the pulled pork wrap with wedge salad (added bacon and avocado as suggested) hands down fantastic!! Drinking old fashioneds yummy!! She asked how we liked them and made them perfect ( no water or sprite ) We are from Indiana and haven't had decent food on our trip from Seattle to here. So sad. Food has just been meh. Only been here once and might go back. My experience wasn't great but I feel it was because of the company I was with not to any fault of the restaurant. Food was good and the appetizers also nice. For those of you who are long time familiar with Longview, it is located in the old Kinneys Shoes building, nestled between Wendy's and Kentucky Fried Chicken/A&W. Business client in town and need a lunch meeting spot? This has a great atmosphere and WiFi! I first read about this newborn, 2 week old eatery in the Longview Daily News. It was a nice little write up which piqued my curiosity, so OF COURSE I had to go and see for myself and I'm glad I did. I took several photos which I am posting here. Walking up to The Office 842, we noticed a cute semi-enclosed patio...a fantastic idea...especially for those of you who like to take your furry family member to dine with you. Inside, the colors are warm and contemporary (black padded high back booth seats line the wall with chrome based contemporary padded wooden curve back chairs opposite) with a tiny accent of a cobalt blue votive on the table. The walls are cloaked in a silvery gray tone with chrome lighting accents. Recessed back is the smaller bar area with a nice selection of spirits and a high-end coffee/espresso machine. The bar sits under three contemporary pendant lamps. Artistic black and white photos of the local scene decorate the restaurant walls. Note: the seating configuration can easily accommodate wheelchairs comfortably. The menu has a nice array of things that will satisfy most. The drink menu offers a host of delicious sounding and entertainingly named cocktails. I was there for lunch but was too early for the 3:00pm "Social Items"...which made me sad because that Seafood Fondue sounds gastronomically orgasmic! I ordered the Herb Turkey Ciabatta and was able to get the Baked Waffle Fries. One thing I noticed on the menu which I found very appealing...things that are normally fried are BAKED...like Calamari. Does that make them healthy?...Probably not, but I'm going to say so to rationalize my attempt to be healthier with my eating. :) Anyway....I took photos! My sandwich came. Presentation factor is great. It was delicious to the eye...now let's see what it has to say to the taste buds! The seasoning on the turkey was nicely balanced and not overpowering. Too often roasted turkey can either be too salty or too bland. This turkey was neither...to coin a phrase from The Three Bears....It was Juuuuust Riiiight. The salad wedge it came with was fresh and crisp with host of different flavors (Craisins, apple slivers, the office dressing, then finished off with crisp onions feta cheese and a balsamic drizzle) and gave a nice little flavor explosion in each bite. The portions were a great value and is definitely a better option than fast food in my opinion. Alas, even though the dessert menu was beckoning to me, I was at my food capacity and could do no more. I'm giving this 3 stars based solely on the bravery required to open something "nice" in Longview, WA. The venue's aesthetics boated an attempt at "night club" or "swanky." For beverages I got the beer sampler which consisted of 4 mostly local beers that were all delicious! My mother also got a manhattan which was also on point. The food there was out of this world! Everyone was very happy with their choices from the Mediterranean wrap served with the wedge salad, the Olive plate, the cheese fondue and I think it was a Sicilian pizza... I started with curry soup, out of this world!! Full, bold flavor that hits all aspects of your taste buds. Definitely a must have. Recommended wine for the Curry soup...a nice dry Chardonnay. Next was the Crab Stack appetizer. Light and refreshing. Layers of avocado, mango salsa and crab. Fantastic for a light meal and I would pair this with a Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris or a Riesling. My friend and I arrived around 1:25pm. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant. There was a 4-top finishing up. We ordered beverages, an appetizer and a meal each. The waitress asked us if we wanted French fries or waffle fries. We both said French fries. My friend asked for the chipotle dip for he fries and I asked for ketchup and ranch. My beverage is now gone and it's been 1/2 hour and no food. I did notice a man belly up to the bar way after we sat down and the next thing I know - he's woofing down a burger and we still don't have our appetizer? The waitress came over and asked us if we wanted another beverage (no) and that they were working on our order. In the meantime, a couple came in and sat behind us. Wishin 15 minutes, they had their food? We still have nothing. We finally asked the guy that was working if he could check on our order. So, he sent the waitress our way and she said that the first order "never went thru", but that she put another order in. Question: if the first order "never went in", then how could they possible be "working" on our order earlier? Then, another couple came in, ordered and got their food within 15 minutes. Huh? We have now been here an hour... ugh. Finally got the appetizer and it was good. We finished the appetizer and set the dishes aside. Again, waiting for our food. about another 20 minutes after that, we got our food. I ordered the cuban. The picture shows a panini bread - mine was crusty hard French bread. There was a lot of pork but only one thinly sliced piece of deli ham. I had her chipotle sauce on my plate, and my friend had my ketchup and ranch - so we had to switch. The guy that was working kinda laughed. And I finally said "I'm sorry, but I don't find any of this funny". He FINALLY apologized. No one else apologized before this??? And we both got waffle fries..... the guy that was working said that they don't have French fries - only waffle fries... I think that will be my last visit. I have NEVER had a good experience there. This was our first time visiting The Office 842. I was very surprised to find somewhere that had good quality food, a fantastic drink menu, and coffee, great coffee! I didn't have any special drinks as I was with my kids but I plan to go back to try some soon. Our waitress was the best! They were pretty busy but our service was fast! The fondue was amazing!
