    Good pizzas

We got delivery of two large pizzas (cheese and vegetarian) and two bottles of sodas from Tandoori. The delivery service was good. The pizzas were still hot. Next time, I will try their better known Indian themed pizzas like curry pizza.

Pesto Chicken Pasta with onions and creamy pesto sauce. It's awesome

I've been to Tandoori pizza a couple of times now and I have to say that I am very happy with the level of service and the food provided. The first time I came I had two different types of pizza which blew my mind. The amount of toppings on each slice was so awesome and the spices made me wish I could afford to have it every day. I've also tried their pasta and while I ordered the pesto chicken, it's not like your mom's pesto chicken. The spices make the dish worth it and it was pretty affordable. I will def be eating here more and they deserve to have lines out the door.

I would like to begin by stating that the staff here is very friendly and personable. I've been here a handful of times and have already become acquainted with Brandon and his father Jesse. I am very impressed with how everything in this establishment is branded. That includes the dishware, the napkins, the wax paper used in the food that's brought to you, etc. The quality of food at this restaurant is also top-tier. I have brought a large party to this location and treated so well. It's a great environment not too loud. I think this pizzeria standing out in the local elk Grove community.

Staff here is very, very kind and patient. My autistic brother was ordering and paid and the lady at the front was very fun to talk to you while we were figuring out what we wanted to order. We haven't ever been here before and I am very happy with how our first visit turned out. Their food is delicious and I will definitely be back here again. It may be because I'm half white and I'm feeding the butter, chicken stereotypes, but I highly recommend getting the pizza.

Garlic sticks with cheese, half-half pizza: original margherita & butter chicken
    Gillian A.

Overall pretty solid pizza spot in EG especially if you're looking for the Indian-fusion type! Butter chicken: very flavorful, well-seasoned chicken! A tad dry though. Wished there was a little more makhni sauce on the pizza as well. Original margherita: menu indicates that the fresh tomato topping is in diced form, but on the pizza that I got the tomato was in full slabs lol. Not a dealbreaker though. On-point margherita flavor that complements well with the signature fluffy pizza crust made here. Garlic sticks with cheese: was hoping for some cheese pull on these, but pretty scarce on the cheese. Still tasty garlic sticks though. Straightforward online-order pickup!

Nimbu Pani - Indian style Lemonade! Sweet, Lemony, Tangy, and a hint of Salt. Refreshing cold on a hot day!

Love this local fusion Indian Pizza spot! They have great tandoori chicken pizza, wings, and also their regular combo pizza (which is my fave)! Their homemade mango lassi and nimbu panni (think refreshing sweet/salty lemonade) are really good as well! The electrolytes in the nimbu panni is perfect if you need to rehydrate. Their seating area is plentiful and their service is always friendly and kind. Love this family owned business!

Feeling adventurous, I decided to stray from my usual pizza place and went for Indian fusion pizza. I'm no stranger to fusion pizzas but the last time I had fusion pizza was back in 2014 in Korea. Since then, it's been difficult to find really good fusion pizza locally. This review is mainly for their takeout service and their food. Tandoori Pizza is a new Indian fusion pizzeria that just opened in Elk Grove. They took over Nothing Bundt Cakes previous location next to Peet's Coffee. I remember the bundt cake bakery was small but the interior of Tandoori Pizza seems bigger to me. Probably because the interior is mainly white which makes a small space appear bigger. Placed my order online and the website was easy peasy. The only thing I didn't like and hope one day they would have is designated pickup times. For now, it's only ASAP which is approximately 20-25 mins. My order was the medium Tandoori chicken pizza which comes with garlic sauce, tandoori chicken, red onions, green onions, bell peppers, cheeses, and cilantro. No issue with pickup and my order was ready by the time I picked up which was around 6 pm (ordered at 5:30 pm online) on a Sunday. The email confirmation even tells you the approximate pickup time so you can plan accordingly. Upon arrival, the employee was able to find my order quickly and gave me a small bag which was complete with parmesan cheese & peppers! When I got home, I saw 2 small ranch dips in the baggy too. Win! For anyone wondering, a medium consists of 10 slices according to the display in store but my pizza only had 8 slices. I was short 2 slices but my pizza was sliced perfectly. I think the only way to gain 2 was if the slices were sliced smaller. So technically I did get 10 slices. Strange logic, I know but hear me out. Pizza was loaded with toppings and the crust was cooked perfectly. It wasn't soggy and not overly crispy. It smelled heavenly delectable in the car and was amazingly delicious when I ate it. I would absolutely order this pizza again but I want to try their other toppings. Just a heads up, there is a tiny bit of a kick with the chicken due to the seasoning and the chopped bell peppers were mildly spicy. Pizza is muted when you dip with ranch but is oh so flavorful on its own. Try it both ways! I'm so happy I got to try out this place. They also have a store downtown too. Hoping this place gains momentum and more people try out their pizza. I'll be a returning customer.

We ordered for pick up and it was ready when we arrived about 30 mins later - one butter chicken and one all meat. The flavors of the pizza were ok but I think I expected more of a naan-like crust (crusty outside, soft inside and nit too thick). These were more doughy than I expected. Out of both, I liked the butter chicken more.

    Grand opening special 9/19/2025

Came in for their grand opening today for their special 50% off entire order. The restaurant is very clean and welcoming.. The service was amazing being under pressure from the mass of patrons.. my husband ordered a small butter chicken pizza with no veggies .. there was an abundant amount of chicken. It looked and tastes amazing! I ordered the small chicken tikka added pineapples because yes pineapples belong on my pizza lol .. it tastes great! Everything tasted so fresh. The pizza was delicious! So flavorful! I also ordered the achari wings! These are a must get.. the flavor was bursting.. the wings were so juicy and not dry at all! Their mango lassi and nimbu panni drinks were delicious and refreshing .. the mango lassi was not overly sweet and the nimbu was refreshing I will definitely come back .. delicious!

Came to grab a mini pizza to-go on break today and really enjoyed the quality! The crust and dough was perfectly risen and had the right amount of crisp versus chewiness. I ordered the butter chicken pizza though and it didn't quite have that signature butter chicken sauce. It was definitely a tasty pizza but not the actual flavor I was looking for. They do have a happy hour deal for a mini pizza with a drink but wish they had a lunch deal instead, it would be a big hit with all of the workers nearby.

Interior. I likes the elephant. The place is bright and clean.

I really liked the pizza and the service. The pizza was delicious, plump, and spicy properly. The veggie was fresh (and I'm staying this as a carnivore). I typically order curry veggie delight from tandoori style pizza places. The spiciness was spot on as it's spicy but not overpowering for pizza. The place reminds me of curry pizza house but I really liked the service here. I came here on a whim and I intentionally didn't give any tip when I ordered but the person working there was courteous and friendly nevertheless so he was worthy of the tip when I left. The place was clean and welcoming. It doesn't have a sports bar vibe as the curry pizza house I've been to but I prefer it this way because sometimes a sportsbar vibe can be too much. I do wish they offer cauliflower crust on small pizza because somehow it goes well with curry pizza. Parking can be hard to find at front but there are more towards the back.

Family ordered takeout ! All the pizza were loaded with abundant of topping and flavors! Even the wings was spice full and warning for those we go can't eat spicy !

Overall: Great tasting Indian fusion pizza but business operations have some room for improvement Came here today for their grand opening (50% off your entire order) which was clearly popular with the community considering how packed the place was. Ordered an XL pizza (half butter chicken, half shahi paneer), desi sticks, and achaari wings. Everything was fresh and had great authentic flavor. The wings were some of the biggest I've seen with plenty of meat on them and packed a good punch with the spice level. And I was happy the chicken and paneer pieces on the pizza were a good size. My whole family (none of whom really usually enjoy Indian style pizza) loved the food. I'm knocking a star off due to the way things were run during the grand opening today. Understandably because of the big discount it was insanely busy. We were told it would be a 45-60 min wait so we went across the street to Home Depot & TJ Maxx to kill time. When we came back after an hour we still had to end up waiting another 30 minutes for our order (total of 1.5 hours). During that time the staff understandably seemed overwhelmed and were pretty behind on orders (at that point they started telling people the wait would be 1.5 hours and at one point stopped taking orders). Since the space is kind of small I think a fair amount of customers were probably waiting for their orders outside, and I think the managers could maybe get some kind of screen or intercom system so people outside can see if their orders are ready. It seems like the 50% promo was also valid online (e.g. via DoorDash) which added to the influx of orders; it may have been better to have the promo in-store only. I also found it odd that when we ordered we were asked if we wanted to pay then or pay at the time of pickup; for the business's sake I think it's probably a safer bet to just have customers pay at the time of ordering. Overall it was a chaotic experience but the food is solid and the employees seemed genuinely apologetic for not being able to keep up with the demand; I have confidence in their ability to make improvements so things run more smoothly in the future.

Palermo doesn't look like much from the outside, but you can feel the love that went into this place on the inside. From being greeted by the Sicilian owner at the front to the super friendly servers and other staff, you just feel so welcome from the start. There is a full cocktail menu and full service bar to star things off, and a few house specials. I got the West Coast Colada, which is a very pineapple-forward, simple rum cocktail without the coconut side of the class drink. It was lovely, if not a little on the weak side alcohol wise. Every dish we ordered was fantastic (shout out to the minestrone soup), but the star of the show was the lasagna. I was wondering why the lasagna was a $45 dish until i saw it delivered to nearby tables and my mouth dropped. This single slice of lasagna could feed 4 people (or more) and consists of a couple DOZEN layers of noodles. It was the best, and biggest lasagnas I've ever had, and I'm still eating it 4 days later! The desserts were also absolutely delicious, with a very creamy take on tiramisu, and a very well-named "temptation" chocolate cake. The cherry on top of dessert was when the owner came and chatted with us about the origins of the lasagna and the restaurant. Just a lovely Italian man with a passion for food that somehow landed him in Elk Grove of all places! We will absolutely be returning. I mean heck, $45 for a week's worth of delicious lasagna ain't a bad deal!

We explained to the Server the error and she apologized, said the bill will be corrected. Upon the Server's return, she said she was sorry and informed us we ordered the Caesar, not the regular $5 salad. Really? Instead of correcting their mistake, we now found ourselves having to explain to the Server, twice what actually happened while she took our order, I pointed out to their menu and I said "we wanted to add the $5.00 salad". That was it! We never asked for the Caesar, and specially a "half-order". The Server emphatically refused to correct the mistake. Obviously her decision would have never be my choice, had I been the Server, or the owner of the restaurant. With that context, we don't take Italian food lightly. That's exactly why Ippolito's Trattoria stands out. Nick, the owner, is there seven days a week. Whether he's running the kitchen like a true master or walking the dining room checking in with guests, his presence is constant. His wife is often by his side, and together they've built something that feels less like a restaurant and more like a family. The staff reflects that--welcoming, attentive, and genuinely warm. Now, the food. The chicken parmigiana is massive--easily two meals--and executed perfectly. The chicken is tender, well-seasoned, and balanced. We usually start with calamari or a shared salad, both consistently excellent. I'm especially particular about carbonara, and this is the only place in Sacramento that truly gets it right. No shortcuts. No cream. No smoked bacon. They respect the tradition--using proper ingredients like guanciale or pancetta and incorporating the egg the way it's meant to be. It's easily the best carbonara I've had in years. The arancini are another highlight. If you've ever made them at home, you know the effort involved--this is the real deal. Crispy outside, rich and flavorful inside, and absolutely authentic. The bread is baked fresh daily by Nick, and it shows. The pasta is artisan-quality, also made fresh, and sourced from a trusted local partner. Every detail reflects care and intention. Dessert is not an afterthought here. The tiramisu--made in-house--is flawless. And the cannoli? Outstanding. The shells have the perfect crunch, and the fillings are rich without being overpowering. Even the pizzelle cookies are done right. It's no surprise they've earned recognition, including: Best Italian Restaurant in Sacramento Best Restaurant Overall in Sacramento Beyond the food, Nick is active in the community and gives back, which only adds to the experience. We've enjoyed this place so much that we've chosen them to cater my 60th birthday for 20 very discerning Italian family members--many of whom we've already brought here, all with the same glowing reactions. If there's any criticism to address, it's usually from people saying the food isn't salty or herb-heavy enough. That misses the point. This is balanced, authentic cooking--where ingredients shine without being masked. I've been to Papa Gianni's in Cameron Park dozens of times over the years, and it's a great spot. But when it comes to the Sacramento region, Ippolito's Trattoria is my go-to, without question.

Even though the sauce is made with butter, it still is very light and goes down so easy. My husband's lasagna was also very good and we had plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day. We of course, ended it with the spumoni ice cream that is included with the meal and honestly one of my favorite ways to end the meal. I don't think I will wait so long to go back.!

I loved my Paloma. We had the four coarse tasting. For antipasti she had panzanella. I loved the smoked corn vellutata. This was a cool smokey corn soup. Very refreshing on a warm evening. For pasta she had bucatini ala Traponese. I really enjoyed agnolotti. It was wonderfully light but quite flavorful. For entrees she loved scallops. The pork loin was great for me. She loved her desert of ciambella while I savored bomboloni. The staff assisted us perfectly with helpful suggestions and prompt attention. The only minor concern was excess noise on the patio. We're getting older so for us the loud fan and a few loud other diners were a slight inconvenience, but overall our experience at Allora was superb. Thank you.

We got the three course option: antipasti, an entree and dessert. I picked the porchetta tonnato ( pork belly salad) for the antipasti, scallop for entree and ciambella for dessert. They also brought out palate cleansers and complimentary prosecco for our anniversary which was so appreciated. The scallop was the most tender scallop I've ever tasted, it just melts in your mouth and perfectly seared. The ciambella has limocrllo macaropone, so soft and not overly sweet on a layer of olive oil cake. Reservations are a must. I booked a week before hand and there were limited availability. I would definitely come back for a special occasion! The parking lot is TINY but there are plenty of street parking.

A very small quaint restaurant with high quality ingredients and a cozy ambiance. A husband and wife run this place with a few staff and it is packed almost every night. I'd recommend making a reservation. They even recommended an appetizer because "there's only one chef and he's working on 31 plates". There are some patio seating in addition to the indoor tables and the bar. Nevertheless, it didn't seem to be an incredibly long wait for our food. We ordered the orchiette con salsiccia, which seems to be on the menu often. One of my favorite things to order. The sausage is cooked perfectly and has good flavor and I love the broccoli rabe and pasta texture. It's not a very saucy dish but full of flavor. We also tried the fregoli e gamberi. Again, not saucy, but great flavor. The shrimps were cooked really well and had great salinity and spice.

Other than the wait, the waiter and waitress were lovely and attentive through the meal. Our appetizer (asparagus & burrata, with prosciutto) did arrive quickly. It was tasty, though two of us found the burrata cheese quite salty, and the asparagus was a bit chewier than I expected. The Torchio e Granchio stole the night; the Dungeness crab meat was excellent and tasted fresh, and matched the cream sauce well (which I normally don't like to eat, but was great with the crab). The beef and pork meatballs were sizeable, which was appreciated; we found them a bit over-flavored however (particularly with oregano), and the sauce-to-meat proportions was a bit much (way too much sauce for the amount of pasta and meatballs for our taste). I found the Orecchiette con Salsiccia to be wwayyy more spicey than the Fregola e Gamberi. Though on the menu they both have one chili sign beside them, I could barely taste any spice in the Fegola e Gamberi, but in the end I picked out a small pile of chili pepper bits from the Orecchiette, which even after doing so my mouth still burned through the meal. They definitely need to add an extra chili next to this dish in the menu.
