I really wanted Italian. I showed up on a Monday at 7pm. I came alone. I asked for the dining area and twice they pushed for the bar. I didn't want the bar, people are sick and I wanted a little space. The first hostess was nice, but the one who took me to my table wanted to have an attitude. Pushed the bar on me again, to which I politely said, "no, thank you." The two had a small talk, like I wasn't there and the rude one said, put him (couldn't hear where), he's not getting a booth, put the plate back and I could see there's nothing growing first hostess was a bit uncomfortable herself. It was like I was interrupting the rude one's day. She took me to a cold room and sat me at an uninviting table and walked off. I sat for about 15 seconds because it's a bit of a turn off when you're expected to pay for a $30 entree don't act like you're being put out to be kind and seat someone at a comfortable table while you're not busy. First time visiting here. (New to the area) My husband and I came here for a lunch date. We thought it would be like Olive Garden- but NO... It was WAY BETTER!! The staff were friendly and efficient. The pasta is made from scratch!! The bread was delicious. Our waiter was friendly, fast and checked on us several times for refills and to make sure we were happy with our food. 1. Ordered for pickup - there was a second bag of 4 salads they neglected to give me at the window. Had to drive all the way back (24miles) to pick up the salads. 2. The online ordering system allowed me to add a side of broccoli and it was left off of my order. The manager explained a problem with the online ordering system enabled me to order the broccoli but it wasn't supposed to. I was told that I received a courtesy call about the mishap. This used to be my favorite place for dinner, but it has been slipping downhill. The service tonight was polite, but I got the feeling he didn't want to be here. The salad was sparse. No cucumber, but lots of lettuce. The dinner was ok, but lacked heat. The breadsticks have shrunk to half their original size. The chairs are so hard it was difficult to sit longer than eating the meal. I miss the cozy booths! It is cold and unwelcoming for the most part now. I've been to this restaurant many times over the years. The food and service from my experiences have always been top notch and consistent. We ordered carryout from here on 2/20/21. They've created a dedicated carryout area in the back around the restaurant. Carryout patrons do not have to go into the restaurant at all. They can either drive up to a window they've created or can walk into the carryout area. At this time they advertise online ordering, but oddly weren't accepting online orders (it wasn't because they were busy). Therefore, you have to call to place your order. We ordered the Blackened Chicken Alfredo, Chicken Penne Alla Vodka, and Crab Soup Mix. The meals came with two large salads and four breadsticks. The portion to price ratio at Olive Tree is spot on. The food is homemade, fresh, and authentic. I've been to other chain Italian restaurants and the price to portion/taste ratio were way off and even more expensive than Olive Tree. Not here, $16.99 for the Blackened Chicken Alfredo which was plentiful (had leftovers) was a steal to me. Olive Tree does not skimp or scale back on portion, taste, or consistency just because it's a pandemic and they're doing more carryout than eat-in. I haven't been here in about 2-3 years and am quite impressed with the changes. The decor is a lot more modern. We were seated right away. My little one and i were super cold . We actually kept our coats on the whole time . We had crab dip for an appetizer. Super creamy with lumps of crabmeat. I'd say that was about a 3.5. The Peach Sangria i thought was just ok. The salad is yumm. Only complaint which i noticed but my little one said before me. "My only complaint is the pepperoncini are too salty". My little foodie. I took plenty of dry salad home and more of those great breadsticks. I ordered a crabcake and fries but by the time my food arrived i was so stuffed i only ate a bit. Of what i was able to see, there were lots of lumps and little filler. The fries were nice and hot and crispy. My daughter thought her Alfredo past needed more seasoning. When i added a touch of salt, it seemed to have inhanced the flavor and she thought it was better (though she was stuffed and only ate a few bites as well. I ordered the seafood fettuccine online and this is what I received. The description stated it was in a Alfredo sauce. My food was extremely dry with little to no sauce. I called and the manager told me I would have to come to the restaurant so the issue could be resolved. I told her I was sick but she insisted I had to come to the restaurant. I drove all the way there even though I'm under the weather with Covid and the manager stated that it was sauce on my food and she could not refund my money. I offered to show her this video for proof and she said she didn't want to see it. It will be a cold day in hell before I ever go there and eat their dry bland food. This place is an obvious Olive Garden knock-off replete with breadstix and endless salad. That said, it is considerably superior to its semi-namesake in just about every way. OK the breadstix were only fair; everything else was very good, if a little short of excellent. First mention goes to Jhony, our server. He is 5 star from beginning to end. He was as professional and personable as anyone who has ever carried a tray. He 'read' the table, was patient with the ordering process and knowledgeable respecting the menu, efficient and responsive with requests, didn't miss any opportunity to be in-service, and not remotely overbearing. What an asset to have in one's restaurant! Worth mentioning as well were the receptionists who were expecting us and immediately directed us to our table. They were the first impression of the place, pleasant and welcoming. Salad was crisp and fresh, nicely dressed. Two out of the three of us asked for items not specifically listed on the menu and they were prepared and delivered as ordered. Well prepared Chicken Picatta, and as mentioned, custom ordered pasta and chicken dishes, both well received. Side dishes of pasta enjoyable. Fine dessert from a generous number of dessert items, in this case a chocolate peanut butter cake, both tasty and fresh. 4 stars without hesitation and a strong recommendation. read more

I come here often and my experience has always been amazing. I came in last night for dinner with my son and brother who recently just got back from deployment. HUGE shoutout to our waiter Scott he was so friendly in-spite of it being busy, he kept a smile on his face and made sure we were taken care of. His customer service was 10/10! visited this restaurant tonight hoping for a pleasant family meal. Unfortunately, my husband's experience was overshadowed by a disheartening encounter with the manager. Our son has several food allergies that cause severe anaphylaxis. the manager argued with my husband about bringing in outside food . He explained how crucial it is to ensure my son's safety, as his life can be endangered by even the slightest exposure to allergens but the manager seemed indifferent to his severe allergy. It was distressing to be met with such resistance when all I wanted was to protect my child and enjoy a dinner with my extended family. The lack of empathy and understanding left me deeply disappointed. There were several of us in my party who were ordering food from the restaurant so i am not sure why one child's outside food was an issue. Does the manager question other parents when they bring in Cheerios ,baby food or formula? As a parent, we would have appreciated some flexibility and compassion, especially when dealing with a life-threatening situation. It's disheartening to witness a restaurant not prioritize the safety of its patrons, especially vulnerable ones . It is essential to foster an inclusive environment where customers feel respected and safe. I regretfully cannot recommend this restaurant to families with allergy concerns. read more

Very disappointed to get chicken breasts dogged down in lemon sauce and a side of pasta with Marinara sauce. Absolutely stupid way of serving it. Doesn't help chicken was fatty with gristle in it. Called to question the side of marinara pasta and was told that's how all orders come. When I said it wasn't clear online that pasta would come with marinara sauce, I'm told that I would need to place my order online and then call the store to make the special request. I ask for the manager who tells me that sides of pasta always come with red sauce, no matter the meal because that's how the owner does it. Again, that's fine but it should be more clear!! Manager offered for me to drive to the restaurant to get the pasta replaced. Ridiculous, I'm not driving to get pasta. What about the soggy chicken and the fat?? We used to order there twice a month getting seafood pasta or chicken parmigiana (seafood pasta comes over pasta). Well, never again. Waste of money and won't be going back. read more

My good friend offered to pick me up from BWI, yet had a meeting in Aberdeen afterwards. He stated if I could be patient (he knows me well), lunch would be on him. Patience is not my strong suit, yet eating is, so I exuded to the best of my ability & the Olive Tree is where he & me would be. As we pulled up, I digressed for a moment...I thought the Olive Garden changed names...it was just my brief foodie faux pas as it's a local & family owned chain. The restaurant extends spacious seating options with a main dining area to the left once you walk in, a To Go section & a wraparound bar with ample high tables...as where we sat. The bar area provides adequate space for both at the bar & table patrons to socialize amongst one another & not be drowned out by the 4-5 TV's throughout. Once we got settled, our Server Ashley showed up. She ultimately provided us with an amusing lunch experience, with her jovial interaction, menu knowledge & assuring the kitchen was privy to our special requests. & when I say anyone can find something to eat off these menus, it's understatement. Not only is everything scratch made, the menus are massive; Lunch, Dinner & Platters/Catering, with the latter that can be delivered. Lunch & Dinner has some interchangeable items, yet there's an abundance of choosing for Dinner. Even with displaying an authentic Italian menu, you'll find a small selection of Burgers, Sandwiches & Tacos. Our table was given the complimentary Salad (the Dressing is not Vegan friendly) & Bread Sticks. They do not accompany Appetizers or Soups, yet can be purchased for $4.99 per person. We started off with sharing the Smoked Salmon Appetizer, basically a Bruschetta concept with extremely fresh & nicely sliced pieces of Salmon with the Cream Cheese on the side. He had the Maryland Crap Soup & a Seafood Pasta that entailed Shrimp, Scallops, Mussels & Spinach, both he happily consumed. I opted to try their new menu entree the Cajun Grilled Salmon. It was nowhere near prepared Cajun style, however I still ate it with a satisfactory purpose. The dish comes with Steamed Broccoli & White Rice, as I substituted the Rice for Sweet Potato Fries. My plate still arrived with Rice, where Ashley ended up scrapping it off to a smaller plate & returned with my Fries. I accompanied my Salmon with a glass of Trivento Malbec in which the pour superseded the comparable cost of $7.50...thank you to the Bartender. As the dinner crowd started to come in around 5P, Ashley became swamped, yet was still able to keep her flow going for the most part. I placed an online carry out order for crab wontons and pasta toscana. The crab wontons were very tasty and had real crab in them! They were a little heavy on the cream cheese though. The pasta toscana was good but not outstanding. The meal also came with a side salad which was the typical iceberg lettuce, red onions, cucumbers, a couple tomatoes, and a few olives with a creamy Italian dressing that wasnt anything to write home about. There was two pieces of bread or should I say sorry excuse for bread.
