The eggs, potatoes with onion and toast are all good. The decaffeinated coffee is just passable. The server, a young lady going to the local college is excellent.

10/15/2025. Came here for dinner. Everything is light up inside and super cute, 1950s retro dinner with old retro music boxes all over. The menu is huge but I wanted a burger and was recommended by the server. San Francisco Melburger San Francisco melburger ($16.49). Was an excellent recommendation. The patty was super juicy and paired well with the ingredients and dressing. The bread wasn't hard to bite through. The fries were coated and fried. Nice and crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Worth the try. It was also super big and I ended up taking half home. Classic shake vanilla ($7.49). One word. Delicious. Burger and shake is one of the best paring. Besides soft drink. Overall. Super cute and delicious experience. Can't wait to come back again.

Came here for a last minute bday celebration and we had a good time. We were a party of 7 & our waitress was amazing. She was super sweet and her service was impeccable. We really enjoy the food as well, their burgers are always so juicy and flavorful. Even the kids items we got, super yummy. Overall this restaurant is good for large groups, the staff is very friendly, and the food is good. Period.

She's elderly and uses a walker, and the staff was extremely kind and considerate to bring a chair for her to sit in while we waited for a table. There's a casual sports bar vibe that threw me off initially, but I trusted the process. We were seated quickly on the other side of the restaurant, with a view of the open kitchen. Our friendly server recommended the fried chicken as a must-have signature menu item, so we ordered two plates and a Caesar salad. We were both overjoyed with our entrees--chicken was moist with a beautiful, crunchy crust and the most delicious gravy and sweet grilled carrots. We finished up with a s'mores bread pudding that is one of the most craveable desserts I've ever tasted. Moist, caramel-y and luscious! And the server led our neighboring tables in singing Happy Birthday to my mama, which made the night really fun for her. Can't WAIT to come back! It's a new favorite--everything I hoped for and more. The food is spectacular, and the truly kind service takes it another level.

She also ordered the 3 item sampler, cheese curds, Brussel sprouts, and buffalo nuggets, which unfortunately wasn't so good. When I heard Moksa and Hawks were teaming up, I was beyond excited. Moksa already makes some of the best beer around, and Hawks has long been one of my favorite restaurants in the Sacramento/Placer area. I honestly wasn't sure what to expect since Hawks is known for its elevated dining experience, but they absolutely knocked it out of the park. The food is delicious , the portions are generous, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality you're getting. Pair that with Moksa's incredible beer selection, plus wine and canned cocktails, and there's something for everyone. They also do fun events like trivia and music bingo, which gives you another reason to keep coming back. Whether you're grabbing a beer, meeting friends for dinner, or making a night of it, this place delivers every time. Do yourself a favor and check it out. You'll be glad you did

The lobster bites came with a lemon wedge and their house Thousand Island sauce, and that sauce was incredible. The combination of the crispy lobster, lemon, and sauce worked perfectly together. The broccolini was also seasoned really well and paired nicely with the grilled lemon. I ordered an Old Fashioned, and it was one of the smoothest I've had. One detail I loved was that they stamped the restaurant's logo into the ice cube. Small touch, but really cool. For my main course, I ordered the Grilled Huli Huli Chicken with a crispy rice cake, pineapple, greens, and a house sauce that completely made the dish. The sweet and tangy flavor paired perfectly with the chicken. Me and my girlfriend also shared the mac and cheese, and honestly, this was one of the best mac and cheeses I've had. It was rich, creamy, well-seasoned, and the breadcrumbs on top added the perfect texture. My girlfriend ordered the braised short rib with garlic mashed potatoes and carrot purée. The short rib was so tender it practically fell apart with a fork. Everything on the plate was delicious. One thing that surprised me was the portion sizes. Everything was very filling, and we ended up taking some food home. By the time dessert came around, we were already pretty full, but there was no way we were skipping it. To finish the night, we shared the Ghirardelli triple chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and strawberries. It was the perfect way to end the meal. The restaurant was busy and lively, but it never felt crowded. The tables were spaced out really well, so my girlfriend and I could still enjoy our conversation and watch the basketball game. I also appreciated seeing Chef Q and his wife walking around and checking on guests throughout the night. They stopped by tables to see how everyone was enjoying their food, which was a really nice touch. I even had the chance to take a picture with Chef Q before we left, which was super cool. Between the food, service, atmosphere, and attention to detail, this is easily one of the top restaurants I've been to in Sacramento. Definitely worth a visit.

The broccolini was great too (it was the veggie I chose). And... the carrot cake! Bravo! I love a great carrot cake. The unfortunate negative for us? And I hate to even mention this, but it was definitely a thing for us... the musician, whom I LOVED for his talent and music... was just too loud for us. Not sure what to suggest on that. We enjoyed the music, but we couldn't hear anything else. We couldn't hear each other... we couldn't hear the waiter more often than not... the horn (clarinet) just blasted us out. We weren't RIGHT next to him, we were a couple tables away... but the same side of the room as him. In the future, I'll try to be seated further away if I'm with a group that wants to talk. I'll be back... but maybe after I take an ASL course.
