Such a cute, vibey spot! Even though it's always packed, I've never struggled to be sat quickly. Drinks are cute and delicious, food is also good!

Perfect spot to grab a drink! From the moment we walked in the employees were so nice and attentive! We had multiple severs constantly checking up on us. The ambiance here is amazing! It's dim which makes it perfect for an intimate night and there is a DJ playing awesome music! The drinks were also great! Such a nice place for a first date or a night out with your girls. Definitely a Redlands gem.

One of the best restaurants in Redlands. Overland exceeds expectations every time. Get the devil eggs. That's all I'll say for that.... We come here specifically for steak and frites. The steak is always seasoned perfectly with just the right amount of salt and the frites are always crispy served with fresh garlic aioli it hits every single time. Pairs great with a lime margarita on the rocks. Service has always been great their staff really pays attention to detail and is quick and very helpful. The dj also really ties in well here the music is always something different, very fun and enjoyable. This is one spot in Redlands where I'm always excited to come back to.

This is such a great place for date night or just to hang out. We had amazing food like truffle cheese fries, potato tacos, and steak and frites. It came out perfectly and was worth the price. Our server was lovely and attentive. I made a reservation, which I had no problem getting, and it was starting to clear out when we got there but it was almost 8 o'clock on a Wednesday. The cocktails varied which I really appreciated. Some places seem to only want to do tequila or vodka, but they have something for everyone. The decor was great, we loved the disco ball and all the lighting. The music was fantastic the whole time. I don't really understand reviews saying it was loud or crowded. It's a small place and they're advertising music so that's what you should expect. Can't wait to be back.

World class cocktail bar & vinyl lounge at the historic train station in downtown Redlands. Food is Tapas simple but delicious. This place could be a cool joint in LA, Paris or Tokyo but it's just down the street. Ricky is the man. I come for the Negronis.

Chicken Wings, Elote Popcorn, Beets by Nay, and Deviled Eggs. All super tasty!

If Redlands had an underground bar alter ego, it would be The Overland Bar. Artsy, moody, vinyl-lined shelves, DJ booth tucked into the corner -- this place understands style. The drinks came out in no time. An extra dirty martini for him, the Dear Eleanor mocktail for her (Dry January...obvi)...easily one of the best mocktails I've had in a long time. I finished it wishing I'd ordered multiples. And the food? Small plates, big flavor! The Deviled Eggs were quite literally mouthwatering, Beets by Nay...super yum, the crunchy and extra tasty Chicken Wings were finger-licking good, and the crunchy Elote Popcorn was perfect bar food. Easy to share, easy to love. Come for the vibes, good dranks, great service, and good foooooood!

The Overland truly hits the spot after work. The music, strong drinks, and tasty fries always put me in a good mood. They offer an ever changing menu of food and drinks. While I have enjoyed all of their cocktails, the food quality can be inconsistent. The ingredients are clearly high quality, but the flavors do not always come together. I have tried several of their rotating salads and seafood dishes, and the fish tends to lean toward stronger, slightly musty flavors. The greens are fresh, but the vinaigrette is overly acidic and lacks balance from oil or spices. The Brussels sprouts shared a similar fate, being rather bland besides a light coating of balsamic vinegar. The burger was taller than it was wide and tasted like a fairly standard offering, though I was amused by the oversized piece of lettuce. The fries, however, were outstanding. They were golden brown with a fluffy interior and coated in Indian spices. The curry ketchup elevated them even further. The drinks are served in tall glasses and are quite potent. Each cocktail packs a punch, and I especially enjoy their house specials, which bring noticeable spice, heat, and bite. The flavors are more unique than those of a typical mule or margarita. I enjoy stopping by The Overland for its excellent drinks and fries, even though ordering other entrees can be a bit of a gamble.

Damn another great experience! If 3 or more visits makes you a regular I think we hit that. And yet another awesome experience. Brought my daughter and her friend on her spring break. Food was once again delicious but those noodles were exceptional. Drinks as always were on point. Tuesdays is Happy Hour all day. Service was outstanding and the vibe was perfect. See you next time we come.

I went to The Overland for dinner and drinks because it's decorated for Christmas time !! Upon entering , it literally looks like someone threw up Christmas all over and I loved it !! So many lights and decor that ranges from something you'd find at Target to something that reminds you of your grandmas house when you were a kid . Service was friendly and fast ! We ordered the wings (my fav) - they were crispy and delicious ! Also the steak and frites which was perfectly cooked and the shrimp banh mi (a little too much bread for me) but flavor was nice and light ! They currently have Christmas cocktails so of course we had to try those ! We had Santa's cookie and milk , scrooges cider and the grinch's demise . Loved all of them - they know what they are doing with cocktails here . Overall it was a cute date night spot , the middle seating is just a bit of an eye sore as it makes the room feel small. If they took those booths out it would really open it up ! I'll definitely be back for a night out listening to vinyl records !

The Wings! .... GET THEM. They were so damn good. Crispy, perfectly seasoned; they were definitely the star of the night. The deviled eggs were amazing as well. There was just "enough" done to them (not overdone). The Wings & Eggs were the standouts but everything was pretty good. I enjoyed the beat salad, but the Burrata gave me cottage cheese vibes. The chicken sandwich was OK but then we tasted the wings ‍ (the wings, blew the chicken sandwich out the water). All in all, this place was pretty amazing!

Very cool bar and restaurant in downtown Redlands. It's the old train station renovated into a bar. The inside is limited seating at tables with a full bar, but they have additional seating outside and drink rails (standing only). The staff were friendly and attentive. The onion rings were freshly made and they were decent. The drinks were delicious! Overall good experience

10/10 $8 old fashioneds with CLEAR ice cubes! Came here with two friends because one wanted to try their Christmas pop-up. The place is very festive, but I'm spoiled by all the Christmas pop-ups in San Diego that really go all-out and crush their themed cocktails. I didn't enjoy any of the Christmas cocktails here, and I wouldn't recommend the one with the maple "foam", it was pretty inedible. I do recommend the old fashioned, of course (obviously).Everyone working was lovely, and I had no idea downtown Redlands was this cool

Absolutely love this place! Since it opened i have been quite a few times. Ghostship is my absolutely favorite. Service is friendly and laid back. Cool ambience inside. Patio outside is also pretty nice with a view of the Redlands station. Parking can be challenging but there is a small parking lot behind the place along with some street parking. Doesn't matter because I love this place!

What time do the stop serving big bites at?

Hi Jasmin they stop serving food an hour before they close Sunday-Thursday they close at 12am Friday and Saturday they close at 1am its really cool vibe definitely check it out.

Is this a family-friendly place, or is it 21+?

You can bring younger people but I would not recommend it. The atmosphere seemed to be geared toward 20-30yr olds. Bar scene, loud music with some small bites food.

Reservation can only be made for 4 people, is this the norm? no seating for 5 or 6?

There is seating for larger groups especially on the patio (covered and outdoors). But the insider is narrow so I think that's why reservations are for smaller groups only

When we arrived, there was a group of three ahead of us, which was completely fine. Once it was our turn, one of my friends made a lighthearted joke just to lighten the mood, that's simply his personality. The hostess immediately responded with a very dry attitude, which we brushed off at first. However, things only got worse from there. As we stood there waiting, multiple groups who arrived after us were suddenly being attended to first. She was checking their IDs, writing their names down on the iPad, and letting them in before us, even though we had clearly been waiting longer. We eventually approached her and asked why our IDs hadn't been checked or our names added yet. She responded by saying she had told us to wait in line, which never happened. None of us were ever directed to a line. From that point on, her tone became increasingly condescending and disrespectful. When I told her that she should speak to customers more respectfully, she mockingly grabbed her ear and said, "What? I can't hear you, it's loud in here," even though it was not loud at all. It felt extremely immature and unnecessary. She also made comments about being the "senior hostess," but honestly, that title means nothing if customers are being treated poorly. Everyone has bad days, but that does not justify taking it out on guests. My friends and I are not the type to complain or leave reviews, but the attitude and behavior we experienced were genuinely inappropriate and unprofessional. We ended up leaving without even going inside. Unfortunately we did not get her name. But she is a white female with blonde hair and glasses, wearing a pink and white Renaissance style outfit and distinctive floral inspired eyeliner makeup that went all the way to her hairline. I'll admit, I eventually became frustrated and felt the need to defend myself and my friends because of how we were being spoken to. I'm not proud that the interaction even reached that point, but the way we were treated felt unnecessarily rude, dismissive, and disrespectful from the beginning.

I totally recommend ordering the adult lunchable special because it's a good snack starter and the best deal for your buck. We seated ourselves at our favorite raised table in the corner on the far side of the bar. My husband and I stuck to traditional cocktails, and old fashioned and a Negroni. Our friends chose signature cocktails: the Turbo Granny and the Electric Feel. Now the Electric Feel was not just a drink, it was an experience. Our server explained to our friend that he should sip a little of the drink, then chew the Szechuan buzz bud for about 15 seconds, letting it coat his whole tongue, then enjoy the rest of the drink which would taste different afterwards. Our friend went through all those steps and said it was incredible, like all the flavors were enhanced along with different sensations in his mouth, kind of numb and tingly. His wife was not satisfied with his description of the experience, so she bought a Szechuan buzz bud for $2 and she said it was kind of like pop rocks. These buzz bud looks just like a little flower bud like the end of a dandelion once the seeds are blown away. It comes from a plant. Totally fascinating! We decided on weekend brunch, especially since there were endless mimosas. Our kids have a recollection of being down the class umbrella alleyway, so they were amazed when they saw it. A short while later, we were in front of the restaurant and were quickly seated by the staff. They didn't ask if we preferred outdoor or indoor seating, but we were seated inside right next to the kitchen. We heard that indoor seating was better for service anyway. The interior of the restaurant was "very fancy," and my daughter thought we were in a date spot. We knew we wanted French fries and opted for the garlic Parmesan fries. At first, the kids were weirded out by the arugula, but my daughter ended up enjoying it, noting the bitter and salty notes. My son devoured the entire plate (not the arugula) and asked for another round. We also ordered the lemon ricotta French toast, made from Brioche bread, lemon blackberry butter, whipped lemon ricotta cream, blackberries, mint, and maple syrup. They perfected the crispy exterior, which contrasted well with the fluffy bread. My wife ordered the breakfast pizza--a focaccia pizza topped with marinara, ham, spinach, fresh tomato, red onion, a sunny-side-up egg, and herb-infused maple syrup. This was really delicious with the tart, fresh tomatoes, the salty ham, and the sweet maple syrup. I ended up eating the sunny-side egg by itself, so we didn't get to try the pizza with the egg. Lastly, I ordered the steak and eggs, but it was sadly a small portion. I ordered it medium rare, and it came out medium. The seasoning was a bit strange and would have been better with simple salt, pepper, and garlic. The mimomas really made my wife happy. She started feeling it pretty quickly. She chose the pineapple juice while I got the traditional orange. Not sure if the alcohol made the food better or the other way around. I was brought to reality when I saw the expensive bill, though.

Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to the hype. Service was the main issue. The bartenders seemed inexperienced, and our server wasn't familiar with the drinks, often needing to check with someone else. It took about 20 minutes to receive our first round. Our reservation was at 10:30, we were seated until 10:40, and the place closes at midnight so timing already felt tight. Because of the wait, we asked to order two drinks at once for the next round, but were told it's limited to one at a time. That would be understandable if service were faster, but it took another 20 minutes to get the second drink. We were also told drinks from the regular menu take longer, so I tried one from the specialty menu...still a 20-minute wait. It was a frustrating experience. When we walked into this speakeasy, behind a movable shelf, I was greatly disappointed by the size of this place. It literally was the size of a walk in closet. Probably a fifth of the size of the one in Rancho. The room was so small and cramped. We sat at the round tables which was small for 2 people, and they were spaced so close to each other. Another couple sat next to us and we could here their entire conversation. The space is just so cramped. Maybe 6 round tables with barely a foot apart. Then the bar top basically when someone is sitting there, theres less then a foot of space to go inbetween. The decor is beautiful. I did enjoy the library theme. Service here is a disappointment. There was inly 2 groups (including ourselves) when we arrived and service was excessively slow. On their featured cocktails which was the same as the one in Rancho (6 drinks?), they were already out of the first 2. And mind you, they've only been open for 2 hours. We asked them to prepare unique off the menu drinks. They basically gave us drinks from the main restaurant menu. Rum for the hills and an old fashion. The bartender at the Rancho location is so much better and nicer and way more creative. Able to create unique individual drinks off the top of his head. Not here though. She asked us what we were ordering at least times. And she still got our orders (food) wrong. The glass was sticky from the sugars. We ordered no grilled onions on the burger and it came with grilled onions. She was so unsure of what they carried (alcohol wise) that she had to go ask the other guy on multiple occasions. When the bill came, we didnt get a pen to sign it with. So we went to the bar area. The guy was a total A-hole. He was like what do you want? Woah guy. We're trying to give you more of our hard earned money via tip and sign this check so we can get the heck out of here. Like chill bro. We should be there ones angry with how bad the evening went. Not you. There were multiple flies flying around our table and food. A large fly, and then a small gnat around our drink. It was gross. Overall, it was a terrible experience here. There was mystique (I give you that, love the books). But nothing high end or exclusive about it. Usage of the space and their knowledge of the drinks reminds me of a run down dive bar. They need the bartender from Rancho to come here and revamp everything about this place. The only good thing here is that we were able to order burgers (full menu availability) in this speakeasy as suppose to the one in Victoria Gardens. But besides that, I am 100% not coming back. It just isnt worth it.
