I'd have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for that. I prefer waitress service when I'm not at a fast food restaurant. If you are in Oswego, this is the best sandwich there. I had the hot turkey panini with the side pasta salad. The sandwich was excellent, my only criticism is that the 1000 island sriracha needed more sriracha. As it was the bit of heat really rounded out the turkey and the bacon. The pasta salad was equal to the sandwich with a hearty almond of basil and just the right amount of oil. Service was friendly and quick. read more

Quaint little place in the historic district. Beautifully decorated, wood and natural accents inside. Friendly staff! You order at the register, and then listen for your name. Be aware that most of the food comes in the form of sandwiches, and they don't have potatoes, but the food is so delicious that you won't mind. Good location and good food. This place is usually busy. They have a wide selection of typical lunch or brunch deli with added specialty items. They serve mostly sandwiches, soup, salad and specialty baked goods and drinks. Their chili is good, but a bit on the salty side. Most of their sandwiches are good, but I would avoid chicken because they're usually dry. read more

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat at lunchtime. The place was adorable, clean, and the staff were friendly and polite. I had a traditional ham and cheese sandwich with mustard lettuce and tomato. No plain ol deli meat, the ham was sliced pink ham off the bone. I was pleasantly surprised. Their horse radish mustard was delicious. I little spicy for me but still delicious. While I waited for my order, I noticed that the people that handled the food wore no gloves. Also, the man that prepared my order had a huge full bushy beard down to his chest. He had no beard cover or gloves. I could not bring myself to eat any of that food. When I told the owner about my experience his comment only sorry for your bad experience and for pointing it out. The Owego Kitchen has an excellent array of breakfast and lunch options. The food is delicious and fresh, extremely high quality. The prices are fair with good sized portions. The service is great, and the owners are very friendly. The restaurant is clean and beautiful with exposed brick and vintage barn wood walls as well. Several pieces of the original building are still exposed and showcased, which makes for a really cool atmosphere. I loved everything about this place! This place has continually wowed me with innovation, and all the food so far has been GOOD. I'm even trying the Elvis Panini now, with banana, peanut butter, and ... Bacon?? It's good too! Rest assured they have plenty of healthy stuff too, or else I wouldn't be eating there so much. And every sandwich comes with a fun side dish. Does couscous go with this Elvis panini though?
