This is a hard review to write since the food is really really good, with a selection that provides a lot of options, staff are nice and helpful, and it's a cute setup in the dining room. The hard part that always dampens the experience is the restroom situation, there's only one restroom to service a dining area that easily sits 60-100 people, constantly having to watch the door like a hawk to get in before someone else does takes away from the experience. There's room to add more/ make a gender neutral one so that there's more wiggle room as the women's' restroom always has a line. read more

It comes in a giant mason jar with cinnamon on the rim, and it's so good that if you arrive later in the afternoon, it might be completely sold out. So be sure to order it right after you sit down! For breakfast lovers, this place offers endless options! Our favorite is the steak Benedict--the sauce, especially with the corn, makes the entire dish extra delicious! If you love pancakes & horchata, this is the spot for you. I am not a pancake person but when I'm at The Pan, it's a different story. We ordered their original hashbrown skillet and upgraded the toast to the guava pancake. The hashbrown skillet was delicious but the star of the show was really the pancake. The pancake was fluffy, cooked to perfection and soft. The guava puree on top was FRESH and made with the perfect amount of sweetness. Usually my fiancé and I can only finish half a pancake, but we wiped that plate clean. The horchata was also super delicious and they give you a large amount (enough to split between 2 people). Torrance Food Crawl #426 This is the newest location for The Pan, which now has five restaurants in the South Bay area. The menu here is similar to that of the other Pan locations. Most of their business is breakfast, with lunch a distant second. They close daily at 3:00pm, so there is no dinner business. And like all the Pan locations, they're closed on Tuesdays. The fare is mostly American-style comfort food, but there are a wide variety of choices. A typical breakfast might be The Lumberjack with pancakes, eggs, sausages, bacon, and potatoes. But there are lots of other choices, for example, Zola's Crab Cake Benedict which has two crab cakes covered with a red pepper gravy, along with poached eggs and potatoes. I haven't had a bad item here. Everything has been good. I've sometimes come here with guests and they've ordered lighter/healthier fare, and they've all loved everything they've had. Funny enough, when we first received the mailer saying this place was opening, we were thrilled. I mistakenly read "The Apple Pan" into the flyer and couldn't wait to go. But, then I read it again and realized it was a totally different restaurant. It's in a small strip mall. Parking spaces are very tight and it is a busy area with all the automotive dealers. My wife had the fish tacos and said they were okay. Fish was a bit overcooked so it was dry. I tried their version of eggs Benedict. Not recommended. Also note, they are only open from 9am to 3pm. I thought with all those dealerships in the area, they'd open at 6am so all those folks can eat. But, they don't. For us, just okay, not worth a trip back since it's almost 30 minutes from the house. This is my first time at this location. There is definitely more people going to this location. Be prepared for a wait on the weekends during breakfast to brunch time. Even for a group of 2, the wait can be 30 min long or more. The decor and restaurant is open space and nicely decorated. The waitresses are nice and came by to check on us. They took our orders quickly but the food took a bit longer to come out. There were some tvs for entertainment too on the wall. I ordered the guava pancakes and we ordered the french toast plate. I would like to come back again to try their french toast or crepes. Their pancakes are pretty big, the guava sauce is tasty but not extremely sweet. It actually reminded me of King Hawaiian's rainbow cake when I bit into the pancake. My friend recommended this pancake item to me and it did not disappoint. The Pan has expanded. I remember their Gardena location and I was obsessed with their pancakes. It was a place for my coworkers and I to go after work (night shift). There are locations in Gardena , Long Beach and South Torrance. This is a much larger place than the Gardena location, and more open. I came for brunch and they still had delicious items that are shareable because they are large. I did get the chicken and waffles to have both savory and sweet. I loved it! We arrived and were seated immediately. The interior is surprisingly large. Parking is in the back. There's a bar area and they have great happy hour deals. We ordered the happy hour pan trio $15 for 3 different appetizers of your choice. We ordered the chili cheese fries, chicken tender strips and zucchini sticks. Unfortunately we didn't realize the chili cheese fries came with a spicy aioli sauce on top but the server took care of it no problem. We also ordered a specialty medium thin crust pizza since it's 50% off for happy hour. My husband was a fan of the food. Personally the pizza was too saucy for me and the appetizers tasted like frozen appetizers from a box. I was craving the stuffed French toast based on the photos. Regrettably it looked better than it tasted. It just tasted very dry to me but my husband said he thought it was moist. My husband liked it and finished it before I could take a photo of it. He said he wasn't impressed with the food but it was ok. He didn't feel like he for ripped off. We got a lot to food and had half a pizza and the appetizers to take home. They have a handful of salads, so I ordered The Pan Salad. It was okay, but nothing to write home about. Ingredients: romaine lettuce, red onions, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, and croutons. Dressing on the side. I looked through the entire menu and this is the only vegetarian meal. All the other salads include cheese. Wait staff wasn't friendly, but it didn't look like she was having a bad day because she seemed friendly to people at her other tables. She didn't refill my coffee; someone else did. For what we did decide to order was all pretty delicious. Food came out in a timely manner and the portions was great. Pricing wise - it is a little up there. But the quality of food was very satisfying. SHRIMP N' GRITS [5.0/5.0] - Savory, huge portion, big shrimps with bold flavors. ZOLA'S CRAB CAKE BENEDICT [5.0/5.0] - Crab cakes were delish and love how it's topped over sautéed spinach, not English muffin. The side of house potatoes were good but a bit much. CARNE ASADA FRIES [4.0/5.0] - Pretty good, thick stick fries but not as much carne asada as we would have like to have seen/have. This was a filler, The Bunz just had to order it GREEN CHILE CHICKEN POSOLE [3.0/5.0] - Not bad but $12 for a bowl was a bit hefty in price for the portion. Soup was served with side of chips but that wasn't needed. I rather have more soup though. Overall, this I would not get again. Everything was delicious , the only suggestion would be to add some blueberry to The top of the blueberry pancakes for aesthetics (when it comes out, it's underwhelming for how delicious it is when you bite into it) and also the brioche bun was a bit too thick for the sandwich.
