    Pretzel chocolate bread. So good!!!
    Angie L.

One of my top places for breakfast when we are in Laguna Beach! Breakfast burrito is my go to item here. Everything is melded together so perfectly and it's so easy to eat. The salsa on the side is a must have. It's so good that I always have to ask for an extra salsa bc I use the one they give me on just half of the burrito. I inhale that salsa! The other breakfast item we love is their breakfast sandwich. They give you a thick sausage patty and when you bite into it with the runny egg, it's absolute perfection. For pastries, the pretzel chocolate bread is highly recommended and it exceeded my expectations. The chocolate in it is just slightly sweet. A great blend to the savory pretzel bread. The lemon bar here is also top notch if that's your name. The oatmeal raisin cookie was above average for me, not sure if I'll get it everytime but a nice later to have treat. The brown sugar latte is like a dessert treat which I've always said that I like my milk and sweetener with coffee, haha! So it's just my jam. They have a stamp card for drinks so make sure you grab one if you get a drink. Bonus items: we've also gotten the boozy drinks in the jars in the fridge. They are extraaaaaaaa strong.

We loveeeee the Pantry! This last time I got a breakfast sandwich and a matcha latte-- both were absolutely fantastic. One thing, the egg on the sandwich is a whole fried egg, not scrambled, which made it unique. The staff is so sweet and accommodating to everyone, and they seem so happy to please. Not to mention the phenomenal space. I could sit and chat while sipping my matcha for hours! Be aware, it does get pretty busy on weekends.

Super cute place! Pastries and lattes were yummy. The breakfast sandwich was delicious.

The two breakfast items ordered (avocado toast and breakfast sandwich) in my opinion were incredibly delicious I'm my recent eating out experience. The atmosphere and cleanliness were also great and I recommend this place for anyone looking for a better than average breakfast/meal. Pay upfront service for some reason felt right. No disappointments and very friendly staff. If I come back anytime, I'd definitely come back here. 5 stars for a great meal at a decent price!

Lavender Honey Latte. It's a cup of warm, floral, homey coziness. The lavender flavor is subtle, which is why I love this drink so much.

Order at the counter, find a seat inside (limited) or outside (there's a partial view of the ocean). Coastal vibes; weather is much cooler during winter months so grab a sweater if you're planning to sit outside. THE FOOD. - Breakfast Sandwich | Good flavors; the sausage and bacon combined with the over easy egg and smoked Gouda cheese are quintessential breakfast ingredients. I liked the aioli being soaked into the challah bun. - Breakfast Burrito | Lots happening in this burrito. Scrambled eggs with oaxaca cheese, slices of avocado, chorizo, refried beans, applewood bacon, potatoes, and chopped cilantro. It's got a California vibe to it and really tasty. Housemade salsa is served on the side. Recommend! - Almond Croissant | Buttery, flaky croissant with sweet almond cream inside and topped with sliced almonds and icing drizzled on top. Delicious. THE DRINKS. - Lavender Honey Latte | It's a cup of warm, floral, homey coziness. The lavender flavor is not very strong; it's actually subtle, which is why I love this drink so much. - Latte | Bold espresso and milky sweetness. THE PARKING. We did street metered street parking. THE RETURN? I'd come back to try other breakfast items. It's a cute breakfast spot.

The Pantry does an amazing job with flavors and delicious food while giving you some good coffee. So I'm about to head into teaching this week and start the new school year so my fiancée wanted to take me out for a day and just calm and enjoy our space. I love breakfast so she found The pantry and honestly it was pretty good. Service was pretty simple, we went up, ordered and we got our number and sat down. The young lady that took our order was sweet and patient as we figured out what food we am wanted in our lives. The vibe was all outdoor with some indoor seating, it very relaxed, umbrella shading and a nice ocean breeze. The food was pretty good, I have some notes though. So let's start with the low and work our way up. The pretzel croissant... it was pretty stale... they did heat it up and when you heat up a pastry that may have been sitting it tends to get very chewy and does not melt in your mouth. I know there was a pretzel element but even pretzels have that softness to them so it was a little bit of a let down. The lavender coffee my fiancée just needed some more bite to it. It felt kind of watered down , I almost took it back to get a shot of espresso to kick it into gear but she worked through it. My Mexican mocha was pretty delicious to be honest , I'd definitely get a shot of espresso with it next time but overall I enjoyed it, I compared it to better buzz because their the only other place that has a Mexican mocha and Pantry does a good job. The breakfast burritos was delicious, I was worried it was going to be too Mushy the inside and get messy at the end but it held together well, and the sauce was on point... I wish I had more!! Also the crispy bacon inside was delicious. On thing I would say is after you wrap up The burrito put it on the pan or flat iron so the tortilla gets a golden brown to it. It helps make the burrito easier to hold and cut in half . If I did not cut mine in half I'm pretty sure it would fell apart. Lastly... the crispy chicken sando... my fiancée made this look after she bit into it ... she then handed it to me and I took a bite... if my burrito did not have so many good flavors I would of ordered another chicken sando.... It was perfection!!! Overall The Pantry has some great food, with some minor changes and making sure the pastries are dress they would have had all stars lit. Will we go back? Absolutely... I definitely want to try more of the menu .

Lemon Bar and Spanish latte (wouldn't other the latte again) Beautiful presentation though!

After a nice hike in Laguna, I was craving a good breakfast and found this spot on Yelp. I decided to give it a try. It's located right on the main street of Laguna, and street parking was relatively easy to find. The seating situation was a bit tricky since the restaurant shares the space with another business. I managed to find a small, wobbly table. Ordering is done inside, which is a tight space, and I felt like if I hadn't spoken up, I wouldn't have been attended to. I ordered two coffee drinks, a lemon bar, and two breakfast entrées. Although we told them we were dining in, the coffee drinks were served in paper cups. When we asked for glass cups, we were told none were clean. The lemon bar was disappointing--it had a weird smell and taste, so I didn't finish it. Meanwhile, I noticed that other customers who ordered after us were getting their food delivered to their tables. I eventually went back inside to check on our order. One of the cashiers seemed confused, but she reassured me that the kitchen was working on it. When the food finally arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the breakfast burrito, and it was absolutely delicious. The salsa was the perfect accompaniment. Despite the rocky start, the food itself was the highlight of the experience. Overall, my dining experience was underwhelming, but the food made up for it. I might think twice about dining in next time, but I'd consider coming back for takeout to enjoy that breakfast burrito again!

Nestled in the corner in Laguna beach so you know parking is the hardest part. Side streets it was for us. We went a few days after Christmas so it wasn't that busy. The breakfast sandwich wasn't that good. The cheese was not a good selection for the sandwich and the patty was dry. The breakfast burrito was too mushy, it needed a textured difference. Flavors were good tho. Kids loved the lemon Meyer waffle with fruit and the ham and cheese croissant.

Brown sugar iced latte at their entrance
    Erica A.

Stopped by here for an iced latte before my day at the beach. Really cute area and just across from brooks beach entrance. Ordered the brown sugar iced latte, which was good, could've been a little sweeter. The staff was kind and friendly. I wish I would've ordered breakfast, however, I will be back!

    Breakfast Sandwich
    Danny B.

This was a good, not great breakfast sandwich. The ingredients were all quality, and the homemade sausage patty was very solid, but it doesn't feel like there was much thought or effort put into balancing the sandwich as a whole. The cheese didn't really add anything, I could barely taste the aioli, and it was begging for some acidity, spice, and freshness or brightness. I'd maybe give it a 4 if it were $10, but at $15, it gets a 3. Not to mention, it took nearly 20 minutes to get to me at 1:00 when there was nobody else waiting for food. Pretty nice ambiance, and they do validate parking in the structure behind them for 2 hrs, which is nice. I'll try somewhere or something else next time.

This is a cute little breakfast place with plenty of little extras. They've got a cold foam. You can add too many different drinks.... they've got tons of takeaways even some cocktails for lounging at the beach right across the street. Great place to pick up a picnic and head over to the beach.. they've got a great menu. I'm definitely coming back for the Myers lemon waffles. The surface was very good. You've got to find parking either in the street or in the back parking structure.

We came here on a Saturday morning after completing "mentally sensitive" hike. Parking was available (all metered around the block) right next to the Pottery shopping place. The restaurant Sapphire was still opening so we decided to grab breakfast from the Pantry. Cute shop, with simple menu and everything stacked neatly, labeled and what not. We ordered our food and found a cozy dining table outside. Patio heaters were there to keep us warm. We got breakfast burrito and tacos. I do agree with another yelper who mentioned that the burrito was soggy. There were too much bean paste. But nevertheless it was tasty and filling. We love it so much that we are looking for an excuse to come back again =)

I love all the locations in this family of restaurants. You always know what to expect - great food, great setting and great service. This morning I came for breakfast with a friend after Pilates. Enjoyed our breakfast on the patio with a great view of the Pacific! I had the best avocado toast and fries with a yummy latte. My friend said that her breakfast burrito was the best burrito she'd had. Super sweet staff that made our visit so enjoyable.

A quick tip before you go: parking is either available on the street (if you're lucky enough to find a spot) or through valet for $15. The restaurant is located inside the hotel, and once you enter you'll take the elevator down to Level 1, where you'll be greeted with beautiful ocean views. We had a reservation and were seated very quickly. While we waited for our table to be cleared, Ava, our host, was so sweet and personable. She took the time to chat with us, shared some of her favorite menu recommendations, and when she noticed us unsuccessfully trying to take a selfie overlooking the water, she kindly offered to take a photo for us. It was such a thoughtful gesture that immediately made us feel welcome. Throughout dinner, Jesse was assisting our table, and he was fantastic. He always seemed to appear at just the right time without ever feeling intrusive. He was friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout the evening. Our main server, Carson, was equally amazing. He was welcoming from the moment we sat down, incredibly attentive, and you could tell he genuinely cared about providing a great dining experience. His recommendations were spot on, he checked in on us regularly, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever rushing us. The food was excellent. I absolutely loved the burrata salad, and my husband ordered the lobster bisque. At first, he thought the portion might be on the smaller side, but between the bisque and the bread, he ended up completely satisfied. Speaking of the bread--don't skip it! The butter, made with grass-fed cream, was absolutely incredible and made the appetizer even more memorable. Overall, Splashes exceeded our expectations. From the warm hospitality to the attentive service and delicious food, every part of the experience was exceptional. It truly deserves all of its five-star reviews. We got seated at our table at our table around 4:30p and had the most perfect view of the ocean! *we went on a Friday night and noticed the patio cleared out about 4:45-5pm and I didn't appear to have a lot of people waiting during that time. The main patio was covered with umbrellas, so once you are seated for dinner, there was plenty of umbrellas for shade and heaters for when it got a little cooler. For our food orders, and as recommended by our server, we went with their seafood options and ordered their Pacific Ceviche for an appetizer and for Entrees my husband got the Roasted Halibut and me and my mother-in-law both got the Scallop and Shrimp pasta. We all loved our dishes and were very satisfied with our choices. Their menu does have non-seafood options, but why not to try what they're most prominent for? They don't have a dessert menu, but they heard that we were celebrating mom's birthday so they brought us a little Toffee Cake to share and enjoy...and for a place that doesn't have dessert, the cake was pretty delicious. Such a cute place all around. My husband and I can't wait to go back! I ordered the scallop and shrimp pasta, and on my very first bite of the scallop, it had a strong ammonia taste--a common sign that seafood has gone bad. My daughter ordered the cioppino, and after checking the seafood in her dish, we noticed the scallop was also very rubbery and didn't seem fresh either. Fresh seafood is something restaurants should never compromise on. Based on this experience, I can't recommend eating here and would suggest trying another restaurant instead.

But after that, our server (the owner we were told) left, and another server introduced himself. The new server was inattentive. He sat chatting with the other servers at the bar, leaving empty glasses and empty plates on the table. We had to flag him to come back to fill water. Having been myself in the service industry for years, my biggest pet peeve is when servers sit and chat where you can see them, and when they do come, they don't do a sweep and take care of things on the table. We had to put our empty glasses and trash on a side table. It was weird. The bolognese had hardly any meat in it. It was mostly tomato and onion. I've been to Argentina. Meat is a staple. Also weird. We ordered dessert and after waiting for 5-10 minutes, the server came back and told us they were missing crucial ingredients to make it. The owner came back at the end and was really gracious, but all in all, I think the execution was lacking. The service was not great. Would 100% come back. That said, I'd admit, a certain DTLA Michelin restaurant has set my expectations of south of border seafood cuisine a bit too high (starts with H) so I'll try to be reasonable. Also the items picked were surprisingly huge and i was too full to finish my meal. 9/10 The chips tasted delicious, bean dip was something new and delicious, salsa was fresh and bold, and the roasted pepper salsa was surprisingly not too spicy, really good. 8/10 trio de cheviche. Good assortment and size of the dish. Shrimp was ok, I felt it was missing something, octopus was good, my personal favorite was the marinaded tuna. 8/10 seafood chile relleno, not a bad assortment, sides were good, large portions of food. 10/10 Coco rita, this margarita is definitely something different! And pairs with everything amazingly, I love it, and this is coming from someone who normally hates coconut. 9/10 they brought out this chocolate cake I dont see on the menu but they will if it's your birthday, but in my case to celebrate my new engagement. Super moist. The place is really loud ambient wise when busy which was around 8pm which is normal of any popular place but after near closing around 9:30 is pretty quiet and casual on a Sunday. Total bill after a 21% tip ran me total $165 and I had leftovers. Free chips, 1 large giant appetizer, and 1 large entree could potentially feed 3 people if you don't eat a lot. If you don't wanna have leftovers, go easy on the chips but that's gonna be hard.
