After driving an hour out to Ramona (a bit remote) for a tennis match we were pleasantly surprised to find this little gem! It was a Thursday afternoon and the bar was very lively. So we went in there and sat at the bar waited for 10 minutes not even so much as eye contact or anything. The bartender could've at least told us that he was busy and would wait on us shortly, but he didn't not even make eye contact not a word after 10 minutes we walked over to an empty table and sat there and asked if that was OK. The waitress walked by and said yes then she never came to take an order or to even tell us she would come back. We spent a total of 20 minutes with absolutely no one even giving us a menu or telling us that they would be with us shortly. And by the way, it was not that busy. I don't think I have ever been ignored that badly at any establishment in my entire life this was shocking. What a great time I had at the Par Lounge! It was my birthday today so I decided to have dinner here. When Entering the restaurant the seating lady seated my family and I at a great table. It was quite crowded and loud inside the place. Our waitress was Victoria the lady told us. Victoria came to our table and asked us what drinks we wanted and then asked us if we wanted any appetizers. We decided to get the Calamari and the Cast Iron Brussel Sprouts. After we ordered, our appetizers came out about 15 minutes later. Unfortunately when looking at the Calamari I noticed that It was quite small. Some of the Calamari pieces turning out to be just small nuggets fried batter. The Calamari was still delicious. The Brussel Sprouts on the other hand were cooked perfectly. They were nice and crunchy,. They were seasoned well too. After we finished Victoria asked us what we wanted for our main course. I got the Shrimp Capellini with a House Salad. After we finished ordering our main courses we waited. My salad came out first. Even though I wasn't a fan of the champagne vinaigrette dressing, the salad was quite fresh and delicious. Eventually the main courses came out. My Capellini came with five large jumbo shrimp, two prices of garlic bread and a great serving of the pasta. It was very delicious. Finally at the end of the meal Victoria surprised me with an amazing chocolate cake for dessert. The cake was really rich in chocolate and tasted great. Overall my experience was not bad. If any of you decide to come here I suggest that you ask for Victoria to be your waitress because she did an excellent job serving us. I will definitely be coming back again! read more

Colleen calls herself a manager. She is the worst! She needs to take some customer service classes. No customer service skills and is just plain awful!!! There was a problem at the table, because they ran out of lobster soup. I was trying to talk to her and she puts the palm of her hand in my face to tell me to shut up and it was an inch away from my face. Then when she proceeds to continue to talk to my friends (because she knows them), she totally left the table and ignored me when I told her I do not want the food anymore, because I lost my appetite with her nasty attitude. She refused to say she put her hand in my face, even when my friends saw it. I wanted to address my concerns about the new menu and she tells me, everyone loves it - there is no issue. She did tell me who to talk to about it. I will be talking to the GM about this horrible manager and experience. Then she tells me that I am not educated on the menu. I told her the server told us this, so she is not educated. She refused to have any contact with me and never came to the table again. If you are a so-called manager, you need to grow up and have some customer service skills and not be nasty! Clearly, Colleen is an uneducated, rude and nasty person. I used to come here because it is close to my house and a nice little place to get a bite to eat. Now having to deal with the horrible Colleen, I will not be back. This restaurant is becoming worse with the ever changing menu and the skyrocketing prices. But, Colleen seems to know best. Because she would not take any of my comments. Hopefully, they will fire her and replace her with someone who knows customer service. read more

Since 2020, this place has really upped the quality and variety of food. Tonight, however, was just plain awful. They gave us the new server (I'm not against new people but she was spectacularly slooooowww). She repeated the correct order but it came out wrong (a sandwich is not chicken strips). And to top it off my salad had a black hair in it (mine is brown). I expected her to discount it since I couldn't eat it, but no. I should have asked for a manager but had to leave since everything took so long. read more

We stopped in after a long hike at Cedar Creek Falls. Lindsay provided us with out-of-this-world service. She was so genuine and gave us fantastic menu recommendations. For a group of four, we had fish tacos, the fried Chicken sandwich, Ramona (?) bowl, The French Dip Sandwich and the Jalapeño Artichoke dip. EVERY item was so fresh, drool worthy and large portions (in the best way - you won't want this meal to end). We went in our grubby hiking clothes and we are SO grateful The Par Lounge welcomed us with open arms. Can't wait to go back again. This is the perfect spot, highly recommend! read more

Great food, terrible service. We, a party of 6 spent 2 hours at the Par Lounge... the first 45 minutes was spent waiting for our drinks to come from the bar. The last 20 minutes, spent waiting for our check. Our server was often nowhere to be found, and we had to rely on those bussing tables for the things we needed. However, the food was incredible! I HIGHLY recommend the stuffed mushrooms. Unfortunately, our cocktails were all very watery, but have heard that this isn't always the case. As for ambiance, the place could stand for an update, but the patio is very nice, with great views and heaters. We hope to have a better experience the next time we visit. read more

We were staying in the nearby timeshare and went twice for dinner here during our stay. We liked it a lot. The waitstaff is super friendly. The salmon special was good, the pork poutine was amazing. So I don't understand why this place is a whole star higher than The Oaks Grille when the food comes from the same kitchen, and they pretty much work off the same menu.... We asked what the difference was and the bartender said the Oaks Grille is more of a formal dining compared to the more laid back atmosphere of the Par Lounge. Anyways, moving on from the differences.... We came here after hiking Cedar Creek Falls and we were starving! We had a dog with us, and this place is DEFINITELY NOT DOG FRIENDLY. Nope, not at all. Not even on the outdoor patio. So we made it a quick stop for food, and sat at the bar, and was there for probably less than 45 minutes. We ordered: - calamari (super delicious with the sweet chili sauce) $11 - French Dip with onion rings around $12-13 - California Sandwich with sweet potato fries Best friend and I split, so I gave her 1/2 my French Dip, and she gave me 1/2 her California. I enjoyed my French Dip more than the California, but she enjoyed her California more then the French Dip. I think the sandwiches are so different it was hard to go from one to the other. Typical grill food, but it was delicious! The wait staff could've been more attentive! I went to the Par Lounge for the first time today. I had the Southwest Chicken Salad - it was adequate but not memorable -- the lettuce was iceberg and there was a small portion of cut-up cold chicken pieces. I got the small version for $11 - the larger one was $13 and I didn't need more food per se but probably should have got it to get more chicken. Server Garrett was really nice and the view near the windows was quite stunning. I was hoping for some more healthy options but this is a bar/lounge, so not a surprise. I wouldn't hesitate to go back if I was in the area but wouldn't go out of my way. read more

I've been wanting to try The Par Lounge for years! So happy to report, I was t disappointed. It was a beautiful early evening at 6:30pm. We opted to sit outside, overlooking the golf course. The view alone was amazing and peaceful. My boyfriend ordered the fish n chips.. all I can say is WOW. The portion was huge and cooked to perfection. If you're looking for sone traditional style fish n chips, this is the place to go. I chose the chicken piccata and it certainly disappoint! Served on a bed of pasta, the lemon sauce was nothing short of amazing. Don't misunderstand, the portion size was perfect, but I could have eaten so much more! If you enjoy an Old Fashioned as your beverage, the bartender did an excellent job. My spicy margarita was, unfortunately just a margarita with some jalapeño juice mixed in and a tajin rim. Nothing spectacular, but I still went back for seconds! Live music began around 8pm and the band was awesome. I plan on going back next weekend! read more

We came here on a Thursday with our friends a few weeks ago and noticed everything was way too salty. Our server told us the soup of the day was spinach mushroom bacon and gave me a small sample. Glad I got the sample because way too salty and it seemed like it was missing something, just seemed like broth. The burgers ordered were ok now that there is only 1 kind and the tater tots and French fries were again oversalted. Let me tell you, the margaritas here are totally hit and miss when it comes to this joint. Today, big time hit! A couple of visits ago the bartender put some soda water in my margarita, which I have a bad reaction to. Server remembered my "no carbonation" issue and made sure all was on the up and up for me. The staff here is friendly and wonderful! There was one visit where I actually passed out after dinner, with my 6 year old present. They did a wonderful job helping him company as the paramedics showed up to help me out. Never once was my son scared due to the wonderful wi thinking staff! Tonight, I was threatened with violence in this establishment. Another customer sitting at the bar threatened to shoot me and and off duty officer. When I got to the bar we sat next to a younger guy eating chips and guacamole. We tried to engage him in conversation, but he was not having it. We moved our attention to others. The guy was a bit weird but we moved on. He continued to be very weird especially towards a friend. We brushed it off and went about our business and he moved to another section to work. Later, he moved back over to a table behind us and began to stare and glare in our direction. One of the folks we were with is a cop and he went to talk to this individual. Upon returning to his seat, the officer asked us to let him know if this individual got up because he feared that this individual would attack. When this individual stood up, I stood up and alerted the officer who stood up. The individual in question preceded to walk up to us and tell us he was "strapped" and would shoot us. I raised my voice to alert people that we had a threat, the officer asked that the sheriff was called. Situation was diffused by the staff asking us to separate and they calmly escorted the threat to another part of the room where they allowed him to stand and casually pack his stuff before leaving. Meanwhile, the rest of us were wondering why he wasn't escorted out immediately and arrested!!! We were very worried for our safety! After being escorted out with apologies, the individual tried to get back in. God knows for what reason. We were in fear for our lives. The staff at the Par Lounge told me that everyone was scared because of the raised voices. How the hell do you think we felt when we were threatened specifically. Bottom line, I was asked to leave because I confronted the threat.I live here and have always felt safe. Not now. I now know that the Par Lounge and law enforcement will not do the right thing to protect its patrons! Think twice about this establishment and the protection afforded. Even if there are law enforcement patrons. Not just that, but the staff will favor those that they know, no matter how insane they may be!!! I am happy to speak to anyone about this incident and those involved. Our safety is paramount and these folks simply did nothing!!! read more
