This place advertises Malts so I took my elderly mother who just had knee replacement surgery to get one. A worker rudely told that the are served next door when the sign clearly says malts. We were served malts here at The Parlor 2 weeks ago. We had to go next door which was full of kids and a long line. To be honest The Parlor looks more like a storage area for Coastal Cone. Great place to go if you want to be treated rude and get something to eat from a storage room

This was a nice place e for lunch after a day at the beach. Hotdog was cooked just how I like them split and fried. The fries were basic not bad just basic all in all nice if your in the area check them out

    Tri-tip on brioche bun.

We walked into the Parlor after a poor experience at The Greek place next door. We were seated, given bread, and ignored at the Greek spot. At the Parlor we were warmly greeted, food came out quickly and nice and warm, and quality of food was superb! The tri-tip sandwich, fish and chips, and hot dog we collectively ordered did not disappoint. This will be my Ventura Harbor Village food spot from now on when I want to dine with a harbor view along the strip there.

Great dining area, food was good, reasonably priced and did not charge extra for ranch dressing which is always a plus.

Way, way, way disappointed. With all the hype about this place I now know people don't know what is good food. I ordered a Pineapple Burger but on the receipt it was listed as an Aloha Burger. The burger was dry and the size was what you would buy as a frozen patty pack at Costco, Smart N Final, etc. The pineapple had zero taste. The fries were most definitely frozen. Some of the fries had an air gap inside with little content of potato. The 12 oz. cup of runny milk shake was NOT worth $6.50. Carl's Jr and even McDonald's has better milk shakes than this. The Parlor is connected with Coastal Cone so although we ordered food at The Parlor the milk shake was made at Coastal Cone (the cup had Coastal Cone on it). Two burgers, onion rings, French fries, moca blast and a milk shake was $36.95. NOT worth it. Eat elsewhere. There is Five Guys with hand made fresh burgers less than 5 miles away. There is also a Red Robbins which has excellent trendy burgers.

    Bacon cheeseburger and fries.

Her name was Melissa and she alone gets 5 stars! We didn't want anything incredibly sweet, but she kindly let us know that we can always opt for 1/4 sweet. There was also a list of drinks next to the register that were sugar free drink options. Win! I did want to try the Maui Milk that is unique to Makenna Koffee, so I didn't get an americano this time - but maybe next time! We got one or the yummy cold brews and I got one of the supreme drinks extra hot. Both tasty and we will certainly be back! The kind, positive vibes alone at this location were enough reason to come back. And the merch was cute too! Lots of open seating and a comfy area to hang and meet with people. Will definitely be back! 5 stars all around!

I love their pastries, but the recent price increases do make them a luxury item. Kouign Amann are my fave, but any of their croissants are also great. I haven't really tried their drinks. Had a Hot chocolate at the Camarillo location, and they even had a little latte art in the milk foam. A beautiful space to enjoy, but pricey overall. Service is usually fine, not overly friendly but that is also due to being so busy that they need to move the lines quickly and efficiently. At Camarillo, the server was much more talkative and friendly because it wasn't crowded when I went.

Served with a warmed goat cheese crostini. No mention of melons it had a few slivers of strawberries. Overall taste not very good. Had my mom try it too she was unimpressed. She had the chicken salad. She said it was just chicken with mayo. The croissant was dry. The iced tea tasted like coffee unfortunately. The gentleman that delivered our food just plopped the plates down and walked away. No gluten free options only macaroons! First time at this location normally go to Camarillo and TO so I was expecting the same great food and service. There was a napkin on the ground directly under our table. The ledge by window was dirty! Just disappointing!

How am I harassing this place? I'm just saying that no apology was said. No sympathy or anything. Harassing? I've given this place a lot of money since I used to love it. Of course I'd be upset! My mom is older and the way it was handled wasn't correct. And it's only two places that we put reviews. My mom put one on Google, and I put one on yelp! It's not a lot of accounts. It's two. I wrote this review months ago but then an incident happened where my mom fell and I feel like it was dismissed. The employee that was there that day wasn't attentive when I said my mom fell, she just stared at me with a smirk. I used to love this place but I no longer feel like recommending their cafe now. No apology from the owner or anything. Speaking of, the location is right next to a Quest Diagnostics, where elderly people need labs done. Now my mom's back has been hurting ever since. This seriously addicting coffee shop, which started in Santa Barbara, has been a Ventura favorite for quite some time now, and it's been so fun watching them grow. Nestled in a charming converted cottage, this cozy café is the perfect addition to Downtown Ventura. When I stopped by over the weekend, they were insanely busy so I wasn't able to capture much of the space itself for photos but I can promise you it's a cute spot. We opted for outside table dining and it was lovely. To order you stand in line and then order at the counter, they'll bring the food back to your table, but they will call you up to grab your drinks. We ordered a couple of iced lattes and their famous Bella Rose - iced matcha, which was absolutely gorgeous and just as delicious. 10/10. Their drinks are truly little works of art and always worth ordering. To finish off brunch, we grabbed a couple of bagels. One of my favorites is their toasted bagel with tomato, avocado, and cream cheese, it's simple and so satisfying. Next time I'll be trying one of their fruit bowls. The staff here are absolute rockstars. They crank out drink after drink with a smile on their faces while keeping the atmosphere welcoming and fun. We always love stopping by, and if you haven't been yet, consider this your sign to check them out and support a fantastic local business.
