We've booked our stay on the island of Kauai twice now with Parrish Collection. Our first stay was perfect everything went as planned and our rental was exactly as we expected if not better! On our second trip we were notified that there would be ground work going on at our resort and it turned out to be right in front of our condo. We were given 2 options by PC, they would give us a a very decent discount or try to move us to another location. We choose to be moved. Now this work was ordered by the county and PC was notified the day before we received the notification which was 4 days before we were to leave for Kauai. They found us a condo on a golf course with central ac (amazing) 3 bdrms & 3 full baths at no extra charge. We did lose our ocean views but it's quiet and super comfortable and very clean! We can see a bit of the ocean from our balcony. The condo is very well appointed. I could not find any knives other than butter knives so I called the office and spoke with Patty who said she would have some delivered today Well I guess I didn't look hard enough because when the person delivering a knife noticed there was a full knife block on the counter in the corner. I felt so bad but Patty took it all in stride. I highly recommend using this company! read more

We recently went through the Parrish Collection Kauai to book a weeklong stay at the Kapalua Bay Villas on Maui. From the moment we booked and all through our stay, our experience with their agents was fantastic. They kept in touch to make sure everything met our needs and were immediately responsive to any requests. Our previous experiences for stays in this location was through VRBO and there was no comparison. We absolutely recommend going through them when looking for stays in Hawaii. read more

We found out Monday (Arrived Sunday 1/22/23- left 1/29/23) morning that the condo was basically useless for eating or relaxing from 8 AM until late afternoon. They had a major construction project going on just 50 feet from our balcony. They had huge excavators, (one for digging and one with a jack hammer attachment), dump trucks, water trucks, air compressors, etc, making unbearable noise. With a late check-in on Sunday and an early departure on Sunday, we only had one relaxing morning for this trip. What was supposed to have been a sweet, romantic, relaxing celebration of our 50 years of marriage (which I conveyed to Parrish during the rental process), turned out to be a week of finger pointing, halfhearted series of text, and phone excuses. Our 50th anniversary was a once in a lifetime experience, that was partially ruined by a greedy corporation. They refused to move us but offered to refund $125 out of the $4,502 we paid. Our family stayed here in May 2022. The location is excellent, as advertised. The staff is wonderful. However, management leaves much to be desired. We checked in and the next day noticed our refrigerator was leaking and there were other minor things not worth mentioning. Maintenance came and checked it out, nothing could be done. Another refrigerator was hauled up to the second floor for us to use. Excellent. However the older one remained and continued to leak. I asked how for and was given a large bag of towels to clean it up daily. We paid over $3,000 for the rental. We we're never offered another unit or additional housekeeping. Just something to keep in mine before you decide to rent from here. read more

We stayed at Moku Hale in Koloa next to Poipu in the southern part of Kauai. The house was lovely. It was a little dated (carpet, moulding) as prior renters noted, but overall, it was very nice. The outside front of the house was dated. Once we got inside, it was a beautiful spacious home. We arrived at the house a little after 2pm, and the maids were pulling away. We were not allowed access at that time so we went away. We ate. We shopped. Still no word. Finally, close to 4:30 (check-in is 4), we called, left a message, and only then got the entry access code via text. I felt it was poorly coordinated. The house was well-equipped. No complaints at all. It took us a couple days to get the master bedroom cooled off. We are not early morning people and the master bedroom was bright in the morning and hot in the afternoon. So we got up earlier than usual. But a small price to pay for staying in paradise. Lovely. I am ready to go back! read more

We made reservations 6 months before arrival based upon website photos. I should have studied the fine print more closely. We thought we had easy access to the beach, but discovered a busy street runs between the condos and the ocean. The nearest beach was very crowded and 1/2 mile walk. We are tennis players, converting to pickle ball. The tennis courts were featured on the website, but we found the courts locked due to unsafe conditions. There was construction going on all week in one of the units so we decided to use our unit for sleeping only, traveling to other areas on the island each day. read more

We rented a bungalow through the Parrish Collection at the club at kukuiula. The club is absolutely beautiful and the staff is amazing. We were always greeted by name and with smiles. When we first arrived to the Bungalow we were given a wonderful tour of the property and were given a gift basket with yummy treats! We could not have asked for a better place to stay. The bungalow was cleaned everyday, had beautiful views and felt so private. Since we have been gone all we do is tall about going back! read more

I have stayed at many VRBOs and Airbnbs, and this was the worst, most stressful check-in experience I ever had. Parrish Kauai office failed to check us in. They stopped responding to text messages at 4pm and said to call their phone number after 4pm. No one answered any of their phones from 4pm through overnight. As far as I can tell, the only reason my family and I weren't sleeping in our car on the street (in a storm) was because I happened to get lucky and catch the housekeepers a couple minutes before they left the house, because the housekeepers were late finishing. Parrish Kauai did not dispute any of this. They finally checked us in 21 hours late, and simply said sorry. They advertise concierge level service, and couldn't even manage the basic service of a proper check-in. A Reply to the Owner has been added to the bottom. We rental a house via Parrish Kauai in early January 2022. It was quite pricey, and we certainly expected to get checked in promptly. We texted to check-in mid-afternoon, multiple times, and by email that they provided. They did not check us in by the 4pm check in time, with a series of failures on their part by email and text. They then sent a text that their office was closed at 4pm and to use their after hours "emergency line" to finish checking in. No one answered that phone number. No one answered their other phone number. No one replied to voice mails. No one replied to texts. After multiple attempts at each. The first reply we got from Parrish Kauai was at 10:30 am the next day. As far as I can tell, the only reason my family and I weren't sleeping in our car on the street was because I happened to get lucky and catch the housekeepers minutes before they left the house. Because the housekeepers were more than an hour late finishing cleaning. If the housekeepers had been ten minutes faster, we would have been sleeping in our car. The housekeepers said we would get a text in the next 15 minutes with the check in code, but thankfully they were nice enough to tell me the door code, because the text message with the door code and check-in never came until 3:54 PM the next day! Parrish Kauai did not dispute any of this. They said sorry, basically shrugged on the phone, and that was it. A day later they offered a 2 hour late check out. And then sent a text message days later forgetting about even the late check out. Painfully poor service, and lack of recognition of how poor the service was. The rental house itself was fantastic. REPLY to the owner: Wow, that Parrish Kauai owner response is wrong, and more evidence of their issues. The owner reply of: "Therefore you had arrival instructions." No. The door code to the house was not provided, which is obviously the most important part of the arrival instructions. In that conversation they refer to, literally the next messages were my text: "I don't see the door security code in the online portal. Is it ready?" Followed by a Parrish Kauai reply: "Aloha! Our office will be closing soon. If you arrive after 4pm call this number..." And no one replied to any phone calls or texts for the rest of the day, and until 10:30am the next day. As I stated accurately and clearly, you did not check us in until the next day, and Parrish Kauai failed to respond to any emails or texts about checking in after 4pm. The house door code was provided by the Parrish Kauai office 21 hours later. The only reason we got the house door code on the day of check in was because I happened to catch the cleaners minutes before they left the property. The cleaners were clearly surprised to see me. They were not waiting for me. They had been trying to be gone before we arrived. A few minutes later and we would have been sleeping in our car. None of those points were challenged by the Parrish Kauai office when I spoke with them. read more

Terrible terrible booking experience. I was told over the phone my payment was complete and we were all set for our trip so I proceeded to book flights to Kauai. A month later I got an email saying our reservation had been cancelled without any prior voicemails or emails from Parrish. When I spoke with the reservations manager and asked to speak with the owner she told me he had no interest in speaking with me. I would not recommend booking with this company unless you are prepared for your reservation to be cancelled. read more

Torn on how many stars to give - we had a lovely rental that I would give 5 stars to in Ke Kua in Princeville, but 2 stars to the management/financials due to the frustrating security deposit policy and hidden fees. First, the great. We stayed at Ke Kua 143 in Princeville. Gorgeous two bedroom ground level condo, ocean views, nice open layout. Loved the fully stock kitchen. Beds were comfortable. Perfect place to spend 4 nights with 2 friends exploring the north shore. Now, the not so great. Security deposit policy is just a way for them to hold on to large sums of money (of yours!) and probably earn interest on. The security deposit was $1,500 for our condo, more than the rental cost. I dont have an issue with the amount, but they will take the deposit several months before your rental (WHY? you can't damage your rental BEFORE you arrive) and will not refund it until a couple weeks after your stay. They will say if you don't like this, you can pay to "insure" your rental against your damage - which is just money wasted altogether if you are a polite guest. The other fees they charge - cleaning fee, booking fee, etc - are not unreasonable, but they are not always transparent about them when you book the rental. You'll see a place with a great per night rate, but once you add in these fees it can go out of your price range. Just something that annoyed me in my search. read more

I inquired with The Parrish Collection 4 years ago via Tripadvisor about a property they had listed. We ended up not staying there. However, years later, they continue to regularly send me spam through Tripadvisor's messaging system, despite my messages asking them to stop. In my opinion, this is a scummy, unethical company. I will NEVER stay at any of their properties. Judging by some of the reviews (bugs, filth, poor response when a problem is reported), it doesn't look like I'm missing much. read more

A word of caution to those that would rent from this company, your reservation can be canceled even though you have made your deposit should the property owner decide they want that time slot. We reserved a 4 bedroom house in February, put down a $1600 deposit, and the rental was canceled in May, with no suitable replacement available. Plane tickets for 8 already purchased, we are now scrambling to find similar accommodations that we originally chose. While the potential cancellation is mentioned along with reasons like property sale or damage, this is not acceptable. Understood that a property owner has the right to enjoy their property, but the decision to rent changes the equation a bit - they are now a business owner with customers to serve, and they are reaping the financial rewards. Will never use this company again. Staff not apologetic for the cancellation at all, basically, "Sorry about your luck" attitude. And, if we had chosen a replacement property, that could be canceled as well. Unfortunately, saw 3 more reviews on different sites with similar experiences in the past month or so. read more

If you are staying at Kiahuna DO NOT USE this company, Use Castle Resorts! One of our condos super dated and price should have reflected it. I've been to Kauai twice before and stayed at the Marriott in Lihue for a month each time for business. This time around I decided to stay at a condo because they have much more room and you get a kitchen. After taking an initial look at my unit, it looked like a pretty decent place. Full kitchen with some bowls, pots, pans, strainers, rusty can opener, and some utensils. There's also bottles of shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, and dish washing liquid. Another good thing is that you get a washer and dryer with detergent too. This is great because you can pack less clothes and save space to bring home more chachkies to collect dust on your book shelf. Now, I'm not the type of person that likes to compare themselves to others, but I have four other co-workers that booked rooms at Waikomo too. Each co-worker paid the exact same amount as I did and we all have a 1 bed / 1 bath condo. After checking out their rooms, I know that not all these condos are created equal. In fact, if you had checked the Parrish Collection website for Waikomo Stream, then the pictures for the rooms don't tell you the whole story. Not only that the other units have nicer interior even though we all have the "deluxe" interior type rooms, but they have other amenities that I don't have. Ar-moires filled with beautiful glasses, LCD TV screen, WiFi, iPod stereo system, granite counter and bathroom tops, bikes, beach gear, even kitchen equipment like the George Foreman Grill (GFG)! For all you ladies out there who do not understand the significance of the GFG, it's like this...The GFG to a single guy who can't cook is like a caveman discovering fire for the first time. 1. Find raw mystery meat thingy from the depths of fridge. 2. Put said mystery meat into GFG. 3. Swat flies around my head 4. Open GFG, burn hands on meat 5. Let cool, eat meat. 6. Stand on kitchen table and let out victorious yell while drumming on chest. Other important items like WiFi wasn't available for my unit. Now that's not to say that this unit doesn't have "High Speed Internet" because they do. It's just not wireless and the modem is located on top of the TV stand with a cable reach of 4 feet. So after talking to the property management, we decided to go college-style and siphon WiFi from a neighboring unit (#430). Sweet WiFi success for my iPod touch! 16...number of mosquito bites after the first 4 days. For those that have sweet delicious blood coursing through their veins that these little vampires so desire, the Off brand repellant with 7% deet works more as as a blood seasoning as oppose it's original intent of repelling bugs that eat your blood. So if you are planning to get unit #421 at Waikomo Stream Villas, then be aware that they will come and get you because of the extra vegetation around this unit. So the dilemma becomes should I open the windows with the holes in the screen and the gaps between its sidings and let bugs feast on me OR do I keep it closed and sweat like I'm weight cutting for a UFC fight? After consulting with the property management, Lee and Novella, they said that's how it is around these parts and we all gotta suffer with it. No one suggested to install new screens or anything, just kinda deal with it. However, what they did suggest was some natural mosquito repellants like "Skin So Soft" offered at the local pharmacy down the street. So far so good. No new bites means a happy inner caveman. read more

BUYER BEWARE!! Reserving a unit from Parrish might cost you more than you expected. Please know that you can be bumped from your reservation if the owner wants the property the exact same time as you. I realize this caution was in the property agreement; however, the agreement also states that "our best efforts will be made to move you to a comparable property". In my case, no "comparable" property was offered. We reserved #44, a penthouse. There are only 4 penthouses at Poipu Kapili and the other 3 were apparently not available either. in fact, staying at the Poipu Kapili at a comparable property for the duration we wanted was not an option at all. Not one property was available for the 13 nights we had originally booked. The manager offered 3 days at one property and 10 days at another, but would not waive any of the processing fees, cleaning fees, etc. which were now double due to 2 reservations, not one. She would also not honor the nightly rate that we had for our original reservation. Instead the property that was available for 10 nights, not a penthouse, was $80 more per night. Also, the units offered were not nearly the same quality as #44. Please know that if you have already made plane reservations, Parrish will not compensate you for the airfare if you get bumped. I take issue with the fact that this property was made available for rent and a reservation, which I did almost 3 months before I was informed that the owners wanted it. Surely Parrish can come up with a policy that allows the owner to enjoy their property and still make units available for reservation without bumping. I did my research and chose a quality unit that would accommodate us well in advance when many units were available. Now trying to reserve a spot for a January 2022 vacation in Poipu (or anywhere else for that matter) is severely limited. The choice units are already taken. Please be aware of these details before you make a reservation. Our vacation has been ruined. read more

I highly recommend The Parrish Collection in Kauai!! I have used them 3 times already and have 1 more rental scheduled with them in the future. One of my first rentals, there was construction going on in the home next door to where we were staying. Parrish had given us a heads up about the construction. They told us if the noise was interrupting our stay to let them know. After the first day we decided it was just too noisy and contacted Parrish. They immediately offered us another beautiful home (much more expensive) at no extra charge. Another visit we had a maintenance issue, contacted them and it was fixed the same day. They are very friendly and welcoming. There are no hidden charges, the descriptions and pictures of the rentals we stayed at are very accurate. I wouldn't rent from any other company on Kauai. read more

We rented a private house for 10 days in September, and are so unhappy with Parrish Collection's customer service. First, Parrish advertised as having AC, but did not mention that the thermostat is enclosed in a locked box, and that the AC would only run for a few hours per day. There were ceiling fans to "capture the trade winds" during the off hours, but one entire side of the house had no screens on the doors or windows, so opening the house let in those huge Hawaiian insects. Lovely. We also let in a few "lucky" geckos during trade-wind hours; not so sure gecko poo falling from overhead during dinner counts as "lucky". In addition, there were no standing or box fans when we arrived; we hope the next tenants like the $60 fan we left behind. False advertising for sure. Second, Parrish assured us that mid-stay housekeeping was scheduled on Day 5 at 10:00 am - we waited until 1 pm and no one came. By that time it was too late to schedule our housekeeping - no accommodations were made for their scheduling error and we spent precious hours of our vacation doing laundry, changing sheets, washing floors and cleaning windows. Finally, worst of all, we received an email from Parrish wanting to charge us $450 for damage to a kitchen cabinet. They said that the home's property manager walked through the house with us and it was not damaged at that time, but when she walked through with us after, it was damaged. The thing is, no-one walked through the house with us, either upon arrival or upon departure, and again, WE DID NOT DAMAGE ANYTHING. Parrish even admitted that no one from their office had seen the damage, they only got a cell phone pic from the house manager, but they said that although they believed we din't damage the cabinet, the house manager (isn't this supposed to be Parrish??) insisted we pay for the damage and so they were reducing our security deposit by $450. My advise - if you stay in a Parrish house - would be to video doc every inch of the house upon arrival, and make sure someone from Parrish is there to verify the video. Remember, the $450 damaged cabinet looked like a nick the size of a pea on the bottom of a lower kitchen cabinet, so be thorough in your video. Better advise - don't say in a Parrish Collection rental. read more

This company is all that and then some. The staff is soooo friendly that you feel like you're dealing with a long time friend (one that loves you). In true island style, they are very accommodating and so helpful. Key packet was available in their lockbox as we arrived after their office hours and contained everything we needed. The unit we rented was a one bedroom condo in the Waikomo Stream Villas complex (Unit 223). The major problem we had with the unit that could have been prevented was the sheets & pillowcases smelled and/or were dirty. We used up all of our laundry detergent to clean them. Their onsite office apologized and gave us detergent to replace the ones we used to wash their stuff. Other than that (and the tropical bugs), the unit was perfect! A very spacious one bedroom (unfortunately the bedroom itself did not have good ventilation, so it was very hot) with a very large living room and dining room. The staff's description of the construction site next door was very accurate, but the noise didn't bother us as we woke up at 7am everyday anyway. Beach chairs and an electric fan were also provided. Every time we went to the pool, it was as if it was our own. Only on a couple of occasions were there people there other than ourselves and they were all nice and quiet anyway. The best thing I have to say about this company is their great customer service. We had to switch our car rental mid-vacation and we left our condo key connected to the car rental that we returned. ALAMO then cleaned the car and rented the vehicle out with our condo key and the van was not returned until we left the island. Luckily ALAMO (at our constant insistent and phone calls) was able to contact the renter to confirm they had the keys and Parrish (I wish I could remember her name, Lulea I think?) was able to coordinate with the manager to have the keys picked up the next day, therefore saving us the headache and extra cost of a key replacement. We had rented from them before when they were Grantham Resorts, but we will definitely rent from them again for their great customer service. Thanks for another great vacation! read more

Conveniently located to a great lil snorkel beach near the ST. Regis that we ended up at almost every day of our trip. Would DEF return. Secondly, Parrish Collection as a property management group was fabulous. I was in the business a number of years in the Lake Tahoe area, and they are top-notch; great customer service, and very professional in their management of the unit. Parrish Collection is HOT! The best customer service - from Joanna (our booking agent) to Novella (the grounds rep.) They were very helpful and super friendly. I would rent through them again, no doubt. We stayed at at 533 - 2 bdrm/2 ba condo in Wiakomo Streams Villa in Koloa - The condo was perfect for my fam-a-lam. My girls loved the condo, especially the grounds pool. We also appreciated all the free added amenities - boogie boards, beach chairs, towel etc. This is our home away from home! Mahalo! read more

This is our 5th trip to Poipu and we have always been well taken care of. Now being back home and into the daily grind I'm reflecting on how a refrigerator issue and spoiled food was taken care of so quickly and our food reimbursed and without question or hesitation. My husband, daughter and I booked Makahuena 3103 for August, 2013 fulfilling a long-time dream vacation. Our must have criteria was an ocean front view, clean with 2 bed/2baths. I found this condo on Parrish Collection's site and loved the look of the condo and the location. The condo is listed on their site as a Premier Plus which is described as: The best of the best, these upscale properties are all new construction and/or have been totally remodeled within the last few years featuring designer touches and modern amenities. Upon arrival at the condo, I discovered ants crawling. A person came over immediately with a spray can. He then told me I could decide to 'let the ants do their thing or kill them'. I opted to kill them! He left and we began to unpack and settle in. The condo was very warm but we knew it would cool down when the sun went down. Well that is true for the master bedroom but the 2nd bedroom is on the ground level facing sidewalks. This room NEVER cooled off even with 3 fans going along with the ceiling fan. By the way, the fans were all dirty and had to be cleaned before turned on. The windows could not be left uncovered since anyone walking by could see in. The master bathroom was filthy: ceiling fan covered with dirt; fan above the shower was also covered with dirt and the drawers had hair in them. The dresser in the master bedroom was mildewed and really smelled. I tried leavingthe drawers open to air out but it only made it worse. My husband and I could not put our clothing in the dresser - therefore living out of suitcases on the floor. Again I called Parrish. The following morning I received an answer to my call and a housekeeper came to clean. She was wonderful and while she was there I discovered that the dishes in the cupboard were all dirty. She was very helpful and offered to wash them but I did the dishes by hand. By now I wasn't going to use the kitchen - I didn't trust the cleanliness. We ate every meal out. We received a call from a "Mike" from Parrish and asked how things were. I related our tale of woe and he apologized but did not offer to help us. Still the dresser stands in the bedroom and the odor is awful! I finally had had enough and my husband talked to Pat for the 3rd time. She said they would take out the dresser but did not have a replacement. At this time I was furious - we were paying $400 a day and we were living in these conditions!! The heat was horrible in the 2nd bedroom and the odor in our room was horrible. We asked to be moved to another facility that Parrish managed but they refused saying that every condo was booked. We then asked for a refund so that we could find other lodging ourselves and this offer was also refused although they did give us one night's fee back. They came and took the dresser out (and the tv also was taken out since there was no place to put it ) and we lived for the rest of the time living out of suitcases!! I will never use Parrish Collection again. read more

Buyer beware. The condo was fine and while we were there we had a good experience, however, the trouble started after we left. It is bad enough that they were going to charge us $150 for house cleaning. However, given it is a vacation we figured what the heck. However, they charged us another $150 saying that we left the dishes in the sink and the carpet had cherios (we have 2 year old) and that the towels were not washed. I didn't realize that they expect their guests to clean the house while on vacation and then pay another $150 extra for good measure. Bunch of bloody crooks. Stay AWAY!!!! read more

"Don't let the pictures and the reviews from The Parrish Collection website fool you" Waikomo Streams Villas unit #520 We had to cancel the unit after the 1st night stay. We knew that we would not getting a refund, but we decided not to stay the rest of our stay in Kauai to ruin the rest of our vacation. We moved into Sheraton hotel and we were happy with our decision. The condo was really dark and smelled funny. The kitchen cabinet was old and dirty, and smelled really bad. The carpet was dirty so they had to cover the carpet with rugs though out the living room and the dinning area. The bedroom and the bathroom were dark during the day, even when the lights are on. The location of the unit is right next to the main street (Poipu Road) and the traffic was heavy from dusk to dawn. We had to leave the windows open to get some cool air because the unit does not come with the air conditioning, it made the traffic noise even worst. The rooters crow all day and night, it made it even harder to sleep. I tried to submit a review on the Parrish Collection website, and the website said they will have to approve before they can post it. Don't let the pictures fool you. I would not recommend it. read more

We had a similar experience to Jav P. Our rental fee of $6200 for the week included a $400 cleaning fee, but we were informed after we checked out that they were withholding $100 from our deposit because they had to do 'extra laundry' (8 people used 8 bath towels, 8 beach towels and the sheets on the bed) and we had not cleaned the kitchen adequately. In addition, when we asked for a later check out than the 10 a.m. they required, we were told they would charge us $450. read more

I am so disappointed with the Parrish Collection. When I called and started checking prices I really expected the people over there to be honest. We were staying in the South Shore for 6 nights and rented a condo through them and then the North Shore for 7 nights and we rented a house. We stayed in the Regency at Poipu Kai #821. My 3 biggest issues were as follows: 1.) They told me it was luxury overlooking what they said was a "Beautiful Garden View." Not the case at all. It was however a dingy, slightly outdated condo overlooking a busy parking lot. Not what I was expecting for my once in a lifetime trip to Kauai. 2.) Their website and the person I booked with said that the condo had a Queen bed upstairs. That's not true. There were only fulls upstairs. I planned it all out according to our family and sleeping arrangements. This was a huge let down. 3.) Out of the few days we were there (had to leave early my mother n law had a heart attack), we had NO water for 2 full days of our trip. No apology.... just beach all day and dirty bodies at dinner out. Very dissapointing. The condo was just average. The bath tub upstairs did not drain. No garbage bags in the condo. No dust pan and broom which we asked for and never got so we could sweep up the sand. Took them over 24 hours to bring us wash rags. Unfortunately, my mother n law had a heart attack while we were there - only a few days after we got there and we had to leave to come back so she could seek medical attention. They would not refund the house that we had yet to even check in to. It was several days prior to checking in to the house. They didn't even try to get it booked for us. They also did not follow up with me to let me know if they were unable to rent it. I finally called them. As Mike N. said below Don't Let the Pictures on the Parrish Website Fool You. DON'T USE PARRISH COLLETION KAUAI ISLAND VACATION HOMES. We arrived late on the first night of our 48th Anniversary Trip, at the Poipu Kapili #21 condo, and when we walked in we found a disgusting, dark, filthy, odor stench and tired condo. The next morning found us in the Parrish Management office with my wife in tears. We wanted, either our money back or to be moved to another property. We talked with Patty, the property manager and her manager, Simone, and got nowhere. They told us we had to stay in the same disgusting, hot dirty condo for another 8 days before we could move to another property. So, because we could not stand another night at this property, we left to stay at a nearby hotel, and we lost $3600 of our money to the Parrish Collection for nothing. We are long time customers, 31 years, of Grantham (purchased by Parrish) and the Parrish Collections. Here's what we go at this Parrish Collection condo 1. The condo smelled of an old molding Teak wood odor, which was probably caused by the refrigerator malfunctioning. It's blowing out hot air at the bottom and combined with the high Kauai humidity it makes the whole condo hot and humid. The wood was sticky to touch and even our clothes smelled of the wood stench, after only one night, in the bedroom dresser. 2. The Parrish website doesn't represent the condo properly anymore, the condo is now tired and dirty. Condo instructions were to take off your shoes, as we did, and within in five minutes, either our socks or feet were just black (really dirt red), the kitchen utensils look like someone chewed on them, a frying pan still had food material on it when we wanted to use it, the toaster looked like it was used as a drum and the list goes on. 3. What you are really getting for a floor plan is a Master Bedroom facing out to the parking lot (now with major construction going on across the parking lot) and the living room that faces out to the patio with a distant view of the ocean. There are no other windows in the condo, which makes it even smaller and more claustrophobic. BTW, there's a road between the Poipu Kapili complex and the beach. Didn't see that in the pictures. 4. If it is hot, and it was for us, then don't rely on any air conditioning because the only A/C is a portable unit sitting in the Master Bedroom corner and it makes enough noise to wake up the dead. Now add the hot air blowing out of the refrigerator bottom and you get a stifling effect. Our chief complaint is that Parrish Property Management represented this property as a "PREMIUM" condo and all we got was dirty floors, beat up utensils, unpleasant molding teak wood smell, etc. Their web site states: "All properties are professionally cleaned, well maintained and inspected by management prior to guest arrival." Well, we didn't get any of that, it cost $3600 for one night stay, plus another $3000 for hotel cost and we still had to cut our Anniversary trip in half because the expenses involved. I stayed at Waikomo Streams and it's awesome and very very cheap. Here's the deal. I am in my 20's with not a lot of money. I wanted the convenience of a close to the beach condo with a full kitchen so I could cook my own meals. Waikomo Streams is PERFECT for that. It made my Hawaiian vacation very very affordable. We had 4 people inside a 2 bedroom (1 real bedroom + loft) condo. And per person, I paid less money than my what my apartment in SF costs (if I calculate what my monthly rent comes down to nightly) I also paid less money per person, per night at Waikomo Streams than I did for my CAMPING PERMIT at Kalalau Beach. The kitchen was adequate, the beds comfortable, there were BBQs and a nice pool. 5 minute walk to closest beach and 5 min walk to restaurants, shops, etc. Very quiet nook in Poipu despite being close to traffic circle. Also, our lanai looked out on to the ocean. We went with the middle option ("deluxe," I believe. Not "premium" or "island casual") Yes, the decor was 1990's fabulous. Yes, we did NOT have daily maid service. Yes, it would have been much better with an on site jacuzzi. Yes, we had to connect our computers to a physical cord for internet. But for what we wanted out of it- it was perfect. There is no "catch" to the low rates or mega-sales they have during off seasons other than what I mentioned above. If you are expecting resort quality amenities, chicly styled modern rooms, and a made bed every morning with a mint on the pillow- this is NOT your place. Go stay at the Grand Hyatt. If you are looking for a Kauai vacation spot that will be comfortable, allow you to cook meals, and is conveniently located- Waikomo Streams Villas is 100% the right place. It allowed me to access the beauty of Kauai at a very reasonable price. Bottom line: Biggest bang for your buck on the island. read more

I was originally going to share a condo with three other friends but it turned out they like to live "high on the hog" and picked a place that even with the split was out of my price range. Looking for a place close by I came across the Parrish Collection and their property The Cottages at Poipu Kai. I was first won over by the pictures but a little apprehensive when I could not find any reviews on the property. I rolled the dice and booked Cottage 1. The reservation process was easy (Joanne a total sweetheart), check in was easy with the keys/directions/ and anything and everything I needed to know waiting in a packet for me at the car rental station as promised. Upon my arrival I was pleasantly surprised to find that I was a short 2 minute walk from the condo where the rest of my party was staying and better yet the Cottage looked exactly like the photo's!! More than enough space for me with a king size bed, large flat screen T.V. , a private lanai, and kitchen stocked with real plates/silverware/glassware. All this at HALF the cost if I would have shared a condo with three other people. My friends were SO jealous when they saw my private hideaway especially in comparison to their $$$ a night unit with plastic forks/plates/stemware...LOL Pat was a great help before and during my trip, and quick to respond when I had an issue with the WiFi access, sending out the property manager to reset the modem. Waikomo Stream Villas Number 122 We found this lovely vacation rental as recommended by a friend of ours who lives here on Kauai. This is a very nicely decorated vacation rental in the Poipu Beach area. The pricing was very affordable. They offered us a kamaaina discount so the price per night worked out to be $79! We arrived by a shuttle from the airport, Surf and Turf shuttle which was recommended to us by the Parrish Collection. They were on time and gave us some tips on where we were and where to go for groceries, shopping, the beach etc. This rental is over a thousand square feet, a huge treat for us coming from our tiny Oahu condo. This condo unit is a one bedroom, one bath. It has all the comforts of home. Free internet access (that I am using at the moment to write this) a full kitchen with everything that you will need to prepare any meal. We loved the coffee that they left us for the first morning, then we ventured out to the local markets. All that we needed was within walking distance. There is a toaster so we got to make bagels, a blender for our morning fruit smoothies, a beautiful lanai overlooking a stream of koi fish and some nice big frogs that serenaded us to sleep at night. This unit is clean and very comfortable with a nice king bed and a bath tub for relaxing cool baths after a day at the beach. There is also a dishwasher and a washer and dryer, towels and chairs for the beach, Even and ironing board to get our outfits ready for a nice evening out at one of the many fine local restaurants. The place comes with one parking stall if you need it and also a lovely pool in a quiet atmosphere surrounded by beautiful orchids. Also when we finally met the folks in the office when it opened on Monday they were super nice and helpful in recommending things for us to do on foot since we didn't have a car. Even before we got here they always answered the phone and made sure that we were comfortable arriving after hours and gave us good instructions on how to get settled in (bring a little flashlight if you are arriving at night, the combination lock box for the keys is little hard to see), All in all I would highly recommend unit 122 at the Waikomo Stream Villas! read more

This was a first time visit to Kauai. It can be overwhelming selecting a condo to rent, however after much extensive research I decided to go with a Emmalani Court condo. The Parrish Collection managed this particular condo. They did a great job with handling all aspects of the rental, from correspondence with me, verifying everything was in order, and when arriving in Kauai the office staff were great to work with and very friendly. The condo turned out even better than expected. It was nice and clean, spacious, and welcoming after a day of Kauai adventures. read more

I've rented from Parrish for the past two years when i visited Kauai. First time (April 2011) was Tradewinds home, second time (August 2012) was the Ahuimanu home. Both places are amazing properties, i'd definitely describe both as "swanky". Parrish has a whole range of properties for nearly any budget though, not just high end homes. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the homes were in fantastic condition. The Tradewinds property included maid service half way thru our visit, which was nice, though not absolutely necessary. No maid service at Ahuimanu, but since there are laundry facilities in the house, it wasn't a problem at all. Tradewinds is on the golf course just north of Poipu, Ahuimanu is on the edge of the crater just E of Shipwreck Beach. Views were great from both, i think i preferred Ahuimanu as it was closer to the beaches. Ahuimanu has a nice secluded backyard, while Tradewinds sits right on the edge of the golf course. read more

First visit to Kauai, and all I knew was that I wanted to stay in Princeville. Pictures fir unit 9 in Villas of Kamalli were beautiful, and I was apprehensive they were deceptive. The pictures tell the truth: this was a wonderfully decorated and laid out unit that had both beautiful golf course views and mountain-waterfall views on the opposite side. I even loved the landscaping separating us from neighbors. No detail overlooked-grocery store bags, full size toiletries, beach-pool toys/necessities. My heart would sing whenever I'd look onto the golf course or the beautiful comforters in the bedrooms-found them and priced at $700-800. Highly recommend. read more

Our experience with Parrish Collection at Kiahuna was terrible. We will not use them in the future. The room was not clean when we checked in, and no one is available evenings and weekends. We locked ourselves out one night, called the emergency number, and no response for over an hour and a half. I had already gone to one of the other resort offices, and the immediatly sent security to open the room. Also, we were told that during our 2 week stay we would get one cleaning and change of bedding. When we called to inquire when, we were told that we must have been misinformed. Any service would be charged. Of all our communication, Ka'ili was the only one who acted like he cared. We do not recommend using this outfit. read more

We stayed 8 days and we never wanted to leave! This place is amazing and I highly recommend it. It has everything you need and it beautifully decorated.
