If you come here for the wings you won't be disappointed! We ordered the artichoke dip and it had no flavor. The tortilla chips where dropping oil. The fries were soggy and the burger lacked flavor. When you walk in don't expect a host to greet you. This place was very busy. The staff was nice to us. I would imagine this place would be very fun during a Chiefs game. I did like the the feel of this place just not most of the food. I would come back to watch a game and for the wings!

$.75 and $1.50 for ranch and blue cheese?! Come on' Peanut! 6 wings and fries deserves at least some free sauces. Delicious as always though!

Buffalo Wings Dozen

I picked this restaurant based on reviews and, they weren't lying! The Buffalo chicken dip was delicious! The boys said the Mac & cheese was good but would try something different besides brisket and buffalo chicken. My husband and I split the traditional wings that tasted great and was plentiful for another full meal. We will definitely be back, but I'm trying their BLT for sure.

You can't go wrong with this place. By far the best wings in Kansas and Missouri area. Actually I would like to talk about their onion rings, ranch and also Their BLTs as well, they're delicious and I can't stop eating them. Literally I can go there every week and enjoy. They have absolutely amazing service and they are super fast. It's an amazing sports bar ambiance for games with friends.

We just happened to notice this place when driving by and saw a "Peanut" sign. It peaked our curiosity so figured why not try it out? Cozy little bar that serves pretty good food and has decent priced drinks. We tried the wings and nachos, both of which were flavorful and worthy of another visit! Lots of TVs if that's your thing, festive music for the holidays (most importantly set at an appropriate volume), and great service. We'll be back!

Mother's milk. (Actually it's a seasonal bourbon cocktail called The Walker).

You are guaranteed to not leave hungry. From their three wing & fries plate to their amped up BLT, portion size is never a problem. Here's the thing: the Peanut has multiple locations, but they tend to vary in size, service, and overall delivery. This OP location is a bit smaller than, say, South Plaza or downtown OP, but the bar is a decent size for the overall footprint. The service seems a bit scattered but all service people are welcoming. And the size cramps the overall delivery with a crowded dining room in which finding a table can be hard. Meh, so what. Peanut still has the best BLT in town, wings that keep people coming back, and constant drink specials. I sampled a seasonal cocktail called 'The Walker', a bourbon & sour with a ginger ale splash. Really good drink, totally crushable, and at $7 a super value. The wife opted for 'The Dude Abides', which is essentially a tasty White Russian but made with vanilla vodka. Again, well-executed and it went down way too easy. Follow that with a BLT and you should be able to color yourself happy. Plenty of parking, pretty good food, and good specials. Peanut is well-known about town and has earned that reputation. A few area-specific differences can't detract from that.

Appetizer Combo

I've heard about the Peanut several times before, but just recently stopped in to give their food a try! Between my boyfriend and I we ordered the appetizer combo and their famous 3 wings and fries to split between the two of us, which was more than plenty of food to eat. The appetizer combo is a fried food lovers dream complete with with corn dogs, mozzarellas sticks, chicken tenders, fried pickles, onion rings and a choice of three sauces. The fried pickles definitely get an honorable mention because they were delicious. The 3 wings and fries were also good, but had a little too much sauce on them for my personal liking. The wings themselves were a great size, and for the price you get a good amount of food to eat! If you're looking for some good traditional bar food- definitely give The Peanut a shot! We will be returning soon to try more of the menu.

This is now my favorite restaurant! I came here with my girlfriend on a busy Saturday evening. When we arrived, we looked for a host, but we were informed that we can take a seat anywhere within the establishment, so we sat down at a booth. Our server greeted us warmly and asked what we would like to order. Their menu has a lot of different options to choose from, but we ordered the Appetizer Combo and the 3 Wings & Fries. The Appetizer Combo is very good. All of the food was hot, fresh, delicious, and looked amazing. Everything tasted great without adding the sauce, but when you pair the different appetizers with the sauce, it only amplifies the taste and it left me wanting more! The 3 Wings & Fries were good. The wings were covered in buffalo sauce and I don't do very well with heat, so it wasn't my most favorite, but the meat was succulent, juicy, and delicious. The fries tasted great and were crispy, delicious, and salted perfectly. Overall, I had an amazing experience here at The Peanut. Our server was great, the food was great, and the people are great. I would definitely recommend anyone wanting some great food to come to this location. I will definitely be returning to try more of the food options!

Easily my favorite wings on the planet. The Peanut's atmosphere gives you a great balance of a fun and exciting sports bar with the warm and friendly service of a hometown staple. I have heard excellent things about almost everything on their menu, but have only ever gotten the wings. This is the first place I meet friends when we are back in town because everyone loves it so much. The food always comes out quickly and is piping hot and the wings are moist, crispy, and perfectly sauced. A must visit if you are near any of their KC locations!

The place is decorated really cool with a front patio & open garage door windows with cool lighting inside. Tons of TVs and a huge bar! The good stops there. The margarita was way too sweet but the canned Nutrl peach seltzer was good. The chips & salsa & queso took 25 minutes to come out, I figured they'd forgotten and almost wished i hadn't ordered them. The muscly bartender guy was nice enough but a big air head bc he forgot the guy's drinks beside me 2x... and it wasn't even busy, maybe 25 people in the whole place. Worst part was that they added 20% gratuity automatically but didn't tell me! I was ready to go & he took forever so I just handed him my card. He returned just the signature slip & I signed it but also asked for a copy for my expense report. Took 5 minutes for that & when I got it, I realized they added 20% gratuity, but yet the signature receipt didn't indicate that anywhere that tip was already added, so I accidentally tipped 50%! I didn't realize til I got back to my hotel & they didn't answer when I called back (it was 10pm). I was so mad, and when I called back the next day, the lady told me to call again around 4 & when I did, they didn't answer. Don't get fooled by this place -- check your receipts & don't bother with the food! And don't expect good service either.... OOOOOF.

Easy to find off of 87th, the space is not huge, but there's plenty of seating, especially at the bar. Daily specials and a happy hour that runs until 6 PM during the week, so there is plenty from which to choose. Burger night (Mondays?) is $2 off the specialty burgers, and I recommend that Diablo Burger if you like a little heat. Sliced jalapeños & pineapple atop a 1/2 lb. burger with a sweet heat sauce, this burger will hit just right. Service is friendly and fast and the prices are right on par with the market. You can get in and out with a couple of burgers and a couple of drinks during special time for around $45 and that's a pretty good deal with a better value to boot. If you have a kid at SM West, then you might make this a pre-game event spot or a place to have refreshments afterwards. Great spot!
