The pie combo Buffalo classic wings Spicy wings Caesar salad
    Taylor T.

Our family did a quick weekend visit to SLC and asked a local for their recommendations finding a pizza spot. Firstly he recommended The Pie Pizzeria and that's what we went with to avoid other big chains like Mod Pizza or Domino's. We ordered a large amount of food after driving on the road for 8 hours. We ordered The Pie Combo, Caesar salad, and 2 orders of Buffalo Wings (1X Classic Buffalo & 1X Spicy). We were not disappointed! The Pie Combo had an insane amount of meat toppings with veggies and it was cooked nicely. No undercooked or doughy areas with so many toppings. The dressing for the salad appeared to be house made which was great! We couldn't tell the difference between the flavors of buffalo wings but were satisfied with each, not too spicy in our opinion.

First of all I don't typically like pizza... until now. We ordered a 1/2 cheese 1/2 pepperoni pizza and it was good. This pizza was very cheesy. The tomato sauce was a burst of fresh and garlicky flavors. The pizza was perfect. Slightly oily in the best way. I also liked the staff. We arrived 25 minutes to close and they made us feel welcome. Pizza was fast. Maybe 10 minutes. We ordered our pizza to go but it smelled so good we had a slice before we left since another table was sitting there too. I didn't feel rushed out or imposing even tho it was late. My son is cur munching away.. his exact words are that is so good. I'm going to wake up and snack on it.

Went to The Pie with my friend on a Tuesday. It wasn't super busy, but it still took a while for our pizza. Once it arrived, it was delicious, but I was surprised to see that ranch dipping sauce cost $1, which seemed unnecessary. The pizza was great as always, but there was a family with 8 kids that made things a bit chaotic. The kids were running around and being loud, which made the atmosphere a bit less enjoyable. This is a very casual place, so if you're looking for a relaxed vibe, this may not be the best option. I'd still go back, but I'll keep the noise level in mind for next time. Star Breakdown: - Cleanliness: (4/5) - Service: (3/5) - Food: (3/5) - Value: (2/5) - Ambiance: (2/5) **Overall Rating**: (2/5)

Huge pizza, 2 orders of wings, and huge salad all for $50! Visiting SLC and craving some pizza, look no further! Salad was super green with homemade Caesar dressing , pizza was fully loaded with toppings yet not soggy, and wings were thick with a couple extra thrown in for good measure. Highly recommend!

The pizza is on average, a 6.5 in Portnoy scale. The gluten free crust is good fresh, but once re heated it turns to literally cardboard

Karl is one of the reasons me and my family have come back to Root'd because of the connection he has made with my children and the genuinely kind soul he is. While I can't speak for others, Karl has always provided us with an amazing serving experience and has really made us feel at home at Root'd, while the food is great, his service is what has always stood out to me here. Before other people go judging him on one shitty night he had they should realize that he is just trying his best and one bad night does not define Karl, because I have seen so much more out of him. Imagine if you judged everyone based on one night off their life? Doesn't seem very fair, does it. I have gone to Root'd long enough to know the consistency and value that Karl brings to this company, and I hope everyone else can realize that too. I love this place, the food, and the service, and genuinely just want to see the best for it. So, say it with me now, #Justice4Karl

The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, offering excellent recommendations and explaining the menu with patience. The food was mostly excellent. The limited-time Dragon Ball Z ramen was outstanding and one of the best dishes we tried. The JINYA ramen had a flavorful base but could have used a bit more seasoning. Thankfully, the table seasonings made it easy to adjust to our taste. The gyoza were delicious, and the fried chicken portion was surprisingly generous. The takoyaki had great flavor and was among the best we've had in Utah, although we would have liked a little more octopus and slightly less batter. The strawberry and mango lemonades were refreshing but didn't have much fruit flavor, so they were the weakest part of the meal. Prices felt fair for the quality and generous portions we received. Overall, this is a place we would happily visit again and would recommend to anyone looking for good ramen, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere.

My server was Brittany and she was so nice and friendly. She immediately brought me water and asked if I had any questions. She asked if I wanted to sign up for the rewards and I immediately said yes and I got a free nikuman bun! It was absolutely delicious! I love that they have lunch specials throughout the week and a brunch special for the weekends. Not many places do specials on the weekends besides happy hours. I chose the tokyo yotai classic and it was such a fun idea to Collab with Demon slayer for those cute spoons! The broth was very rich and flavorful, and I really enjoyed all the toppings and the entire Ramen as a whole. It definitely hit the spot! Service is amazing, the place is clean, and the food is great! I love the variety of the menu and I definitely want to come back and try the spicy tuna crispy rice, the Matcha lemonade, and maybe a rice bowl!

I'm ok with that. No one else here so seating was open. Nice selection of sushi. Outside of a few *common* rolls each place has different combinations of rolls. This one was no different. We selected 3 to start: Mango Salmon (lots of mango) Snow Bird (avocado & fried shrimp) & Sunshine(salmon & lemon). We finished up with the Fire roll. All the rolls were great, excellent taste with fresh ingredients. Not only was the food excellent but the services was too. It may not looks much, but don't let that stop you. The stop was worth it.

The Chicken Katsu was unfortunately more breaded than chicken so it was very crispy, almost like tasting close to burnt crispiness. The cost of the food, tax, and tip was about $18. Yes, I'll tip, but including that, $18 did not reflect the meal I was served. I will note, a lot of the stuff on the menu seemed pricey. I'm wondering if they are trying to properly balance food cost with the costs of the staff since I think there's 3-4 people working there? Another potential reason for high costs is that they are open till 3:30am. What I've noticed with stores open late at night is that because they are one of few stores actually open that late, they can charge higher prices and people will still buy from them. PLUS, if you are one of few stores open late, you can also get away with lower quality food. So if I had to bet, the pricing and quality of food is supposed to reflect super late night restaurant tactics. I'd only go here if it's the only place you're interested eating at past midnight.
