While on vacation in the area we stopped in here to try a local pizza joint. We've never been in a Pie Pizzeria before but it looked good on Yelp with positive reviews. Once we walked inside we were hit with loud live music. It's usually not a problem but let me re-emphasize LOUD. Even after placing our order and finding a spot away from the covered patio where the performer was playing, we couldn't hear each other talking at normal volume. It also didn't help they guy only played Coldplay and Radiohead songs. The interior had a lot of flair on the walls and was fun to look at. We sat near a 'Pi' wall where they had tons of stickers about Pi. They had plenty of seating even for large parties. The employee taking our order at the counter was very friendly and patient as we looked over the menu for the first time and asked some questions. We ended up ordering some bread and pizza. I was excited to have linguica as a topping as it's been a long time since I've seen it at a place. Unfortunately, it wasn't spiced as I've been accustomed to and it tasted mostly like uncooked pork. We also thought they screwed up our order as we got a green pepper, linguica and pepperoni pizza...with the pepperonis nowhere to be found. We then discovered the pepperonis were UNDER the cheese while the other two toppings were on top of the cheese. Pepperoni is 10x better when the perimeter gets a little crispy and the pepperoni cups up...instead it was flat soggy pepperoni under the cheese. None of us particularly liked the pizza that much and we had to make an impromptu decision to make up for the disappointment next door at the ice cream parlor. read more

The pizza here is really good! I like the variety of toppings available. I even had a vegan "cheeseburger" pizza that was really incredible. The wings were really good, nicely fried and juicy. Absolutely love Pie. When I first moved to Utah I heard a lot about it and now it's a personal favorite. This location was the closest to me and always came out hot and fresh, even when delivered. Firstly he recommended The Pie Pizzeria and that's what we went with to avoid other big chains like Mod Pizza or Domino's. We ordered a large amount of food after driving on the road for 8 hours. We ordered The Pie Combo, Caesar salad, and 2 orders of Buffalo Wings (1X Classic Buffalo & 1X Spicy). We were not disappointed! The Pie Combo had an insane amount of meat toppings with veggies and it was cooked nicely. No undercooked or doughy areas with so many toppings. The dressing for the salad appeared to be house made which was great! First of all I don't typically like pizza... until now. We ordered a 1/2 cheese 1/2 pepperoni pizza and it was good. This pizza was very cheesy. The tomato sauce was a burst of fresh and garlicky flavors. The pizza was perfect. Slightly oily in the best way. I also liked the staff. We arrived 25 minutes to close and they made us feel welcome. Pizza was fast. Maybe 10 minutes. We ordered our pizza to go but it smelled so good we had a slice before we left since another table was sitting there too. By far some of the best pizza I've ever had (including NYC). I grew up eating the pie and now that I don't live in Utah I make sure that it's one of my first meals every time I'm back. The crust to sauce to cheese ratio is the best I've ever had and the seasoning on each aspect is amazing. Thought I usually get the pie as takeout or delivery, whenever I choose to stay and eat at the restaurant I am always reminded of how amazing the interior is. I loved The Pie when I went to the U, and the 10 years after that I worked on campus. I like a thin crust, NY-style pizza and back in the day The Pie used to have a killer thin crust - I think they called it Subway style or something like that - but I don't see it on the menu now. Their pizza is a little heavy and greasy to me now, but not heavy and greasy like Pizza Chut (Pizza Hut). I don't seek out The Pie now but it's edible in a pinch. read more

The Pie is some of the best pizza in Utah. I have been having it for years and it is still amazing every single time. We came on a Friday night around 6 o'clock and the line moved quickly for us to place our order as well as find a table to sit and wait for our food. The cashier, I believe his name was Rodney, was super helpful and personable. We ordered a family size salad, stuffed cheese sticks, a chicken, bacon, ranch pizza and a wiseguy pizza. We were told that the food was going to take awhile to come out, like 30-40 minutes. However, that was not the case. The food all came out quickly and promptly. We got our salad first and the lettuce was super crisp and fresh. The tomatoes and carrots were a nice addition for texture and I love the crunch of the croutons. Their homemade ranch is definitely the best that I have had. We then got our cheese sticks. These definitely have to be my favorite cheese sticks at any pizza establishment that I have ever had. They are stuffed with the cheese, and they are garlicky, cheesy, soft, and truly just amazing. They have a lot of cheese in it, so it has an amazing cheese pull. The cheese and the dough go so well together as well as the garlic adds a nice flavor. They are served with marinara and ranch. It's fun to mix the marinara and the ranch together for a tasty dipping sauce. The chicken, bacon, ranch pizza is probably the best chicken bacon ranch pizza I've ever had. They are generous with the chicken and the bacon. The ranch complements the bacon and the chicken and the cheese very well. The pizza always comes out super hot and fresh. Again, their homemade ranch is out of this world so it works so well almost pizza and I just love how the flavors complement one another. The wiseguy pizza was a nice fresh pizza to contrast the chicken bacon ranch. I love the tomato and the marinara sauce, as well as the basil and the glaze. It was a lighter and refreshing pizza. I would definitely try it again. Their dough and their crust is so good I love how soft the crust is. It's always my favorite to dip it in ranch. Traveling through the area and had a coworker recommend this place. So i traveled a little out of the way to get here. I did my usual and let the cashier pick out their favorite item on the menu. He recommended the BBQ chicken pizza, so i got that. It was really good. It had a good portion of chicken and the chicken wasn't too dry so that was good. The barbecue sauce was a little sweet for me but the crisp outer layer of the crust helped. Once you bite through the outer layer the inner crust was nice and soft. The cheese was just enough. We expected a sit down service option, but were met with ordering at the front of the store which rushed the decision-making process and set a poor tone. I did not find this pizza to be good; it was cheesy, yes, but also heavy, dense, and chewy. Ours appeared to be undercooked.
