Being from Detroit, I know good pizza! I got the original pepperoni and thought it was decent overall. The sauce could've used a little more tang to it, but everything else was solid. Overall, waitress was super nice, attentive, and gave great recommendations. Price-wise, it felt a little expensive for what you got, but still a good experience overall. First time here tonight and I was pretty impressed!! They were busy but very efficient!! I got a glass of red wine and a side house salad. My husband got a ginger ale and the Omnivore Detroit pizza, to which I snagged a slice! Everything was delicious!! Couldn't pass up dessert! They specialize in hearty and heavy Detroit style pizzas. Sauce on top. Waiters were quick and attentive and the facility was clean with a trendy vibe. We ordered a variety of 4 squares. Can't decide, try the 1/2 and 1/2 4 squares. 4 squares will easily fill you up. Our favorites were the ambassador bridge, the 500, the Cadillac, and the original pepperoni. Everything came out hot and real good all around the table. Surprisingly the 500 with pineapple and jalapeño came out on top as the most liked. Growing up around Detroit I ate pizza by the slice at a "Party Store" that carried liquor, beer, wine coolers, dried sausage sticks, and a fridge full of Faygo. Each piece of pie was wrapped in tinfoil, the pepperonis were thick and in natural casings, and the sauce! This is that pizza brought improbably to Utah, and it is good. Been wanting to check this place out for awhile and finally had a chance today. Man, what a pleasant surprise it was. I really love the ambiance, the overall vibe is very welcoming, open, and nice, while not fussy. We were seated promptly and our waitress came over immediately to take our drinks. We started with a root beer float and Coke float, and those were delicious. Then came the cheese sticks where I really loved, the crispiness of the dough is great and their marinara sauce is crazy flavorful, you can really taste the richness of the tomatoes. Finally got our pizzas after about 35 min (the waitress did let us know it was about a 20-25 min wait on the pizzas), I will say that it is a while of a wait, especially when they weren't too busy. The pizzas were pretty well worth it, I loved the creaminess the ricotta added to the Ambassador, while someone else really loved the umami toppings in the Omnivore, and another loved that they did not skimp on the meat toppings. But the real winner is that crispy, yet flavorful/light dough. It didn't feel like a brick of dough compared to some other Detroit style places. Finally we finished off with some cinnamon sticks the awesome waitress sent over, which were fantastic. They for sure did not hold back on the cinnamon and sugar. If you've still been trying to find a gluten free pizza that doesn't fall apart, is chewy, and tastes amazing, go here IMMEDIATELY. I was very anxious about trying a gluten free pizza place but...this one was the business. The waitress talked with me about my concerns, I told her that it was my first GF pizza I'd tried in six months, that I was newly diagnosed gluten intolerant, etc. She assured me they changed gloves, took all the precautions, that it didn't fall apart, etc. They brought it out and guess what? It didn't fall apart. The sauce was amazing, the crust was chewy, it was so good I almost cried. Heavenly. Literally the highlight of my entire day, that pizza. People don't understand until they have to deal with it. They even brought me out cinnamon sticks for free since it was my first time in and all. It's pricey, but so worth it. This spot is a gem. Its hard to find good Detroit style pizza and they nail it. The staff was very friendly and we were seated within 10 minutes which was awesome as we were hungry. The waitress was great, she explained the pizza and what to expect and made sure to check on us often, even though they were busy and understaffed.
