Go here at your own risk! This is how they left the fenders of my pristine classic Rolls Royce, they lied and said they could fix! They destroyed a brake pump, by trying to chisel the special nut off, since they didn't have the proper tool! I should have known it was a problem, when Jeff said, " You have coolant leaking from the motor, when in fact it was a brake pump! Nothing to do with coolant! They repair vehicles, by watching UTUBE videos! I kid you not! Finally, I had to tow my vehicle out of the shop, after it sat for 31 days! Now I have filed a law suit, for damages to my paint, and brake pump, and have filed a complaint, with the California Bureau of Automotive Repair, to try and recover my money, from them for over charging me on an included operation. Had me purchase a water pump I didn't need, installed it after the car sat over 3 weeks, then charged extra 2 hours labor to put the drive belts on, which you have to remove to install the pump! They repaired my differential, still makes noise...charge $1,500.00! Told me," I'll cut you a deal, when you find one that is good". I could go on...but I'll stop here...with all the outstanding shops in Fairfield...why would you select this one? At $185.00 an hour...trust and believe, you can do so much better! Called for a quote to put in a distributor into an older car as a woman I was given a RIDICULOUS price. Most definitely shouldn't cost over $1000 to put in a distributor and it didn't cost that much at literally every other shop I called. He was also just unprofessional and passive aggressive over the phone. After reading the other reviews it's clear that he just likes to over charge women. Wouldn't recommend, ever. read more

I never write bad reviews but I will have to after this incident. This business owner was at this years Sonoma Raceworz at the spectator parking lot in April and crashed my friends PARKED car with his trailer. He offered him $300 cash and obviously was not enough to fix the problem so he decided to let the insurances deal with it once they exchanged information. When my friend filed the claim, this man's insurance called my friend and said that he was the one that backed out into his trailer and since there is no video footage they do not want to pay for the damage he did even with witnesses that saw him back into his car with his big ass trailer.This man is a LIAR and I cannot believe he runs a business. My friend spent a lot of time and money building his car just for this man to come and wreck it and expect no consequences. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR ACTIONS THATS IT!!!!!! read more

I gave two stars, because he was very professional, BUT, my check engine light came on and I went to have my car looked at. He originally said it was around 500, that the radiator alone was 320 Labor and Parts, and that the hoses were separate but shouldnt be a lot. 10 minutes later he came back with a quote for 966!!!! I thought it was crazy expensive, ended up going to the shop across the street only paid half the price to have the radiator and all the hoses replaced. Total ripoff read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE! If I could mark him a negative 10 stars I would. This is the worst mechanic in Fairfield. He TREATS MILITARY PEOPLE BAD. He will quote you a price and then charge you more claiming something else was broke. He was caught breaking other stuff in people's cars just to keep charging them money. He ripped off this woman I know just cuz she was a woman that didn't know stuff about her car. He asks the mechanics in the building from other companies how to fix certain things. From the beginning, this was one of the only places that was willing to help me out. My car wouldn't start after dropping my kid at school. Jeff was the only one to accept for my car to be towed to his place and get working on it as soon as I dropped it off. When I left my car Jeff said he would call me and let me know what was wrong with it asap. Which he did, he gave me the diagnostic and quoted me a price which was a fair price that included labor and parts. Got a call as soon as he was done which was in very reasonable time and am now driving my vehicle. Thanks Jeff! I'll be taking my car back in for AC service next week! It's hard to know who to trust with care repairs, and I took a shot going here, but I decided to try it based on the online reviews and I was not disappointed. He checked out my problem, tested a few other things, and gave me the results. He also made a recomendation for a tranny flush (which I had been putting off). His rates were so good, I said to go for it, and he had it done and ready to go in less than an hour! He also topped off my oil, and actually washed my car! A service they do after any repairs. Jeff is really amazing. We were driving our 87 VW Vanagon around the US and Canada during the summer of 2011, and just outside of Fairfield, we had problems. We found The Pit Shop completely by accident, but we were so incredibly lucky that this happened! It's a long story - see below - but this is the most honest and honorable mechanic I have ever dealt with! The short version of the long story: The engine went out, and we live in Houston, Texas... Jeff worked with us to find a price we could afford, and he got an engine cheaper from a company he hadn't worked with before - unfortunately. He dropped in the new engine, and it failed! He did the repairs the engine company insisted on, and it failed again. They sent him a second engine, and it was bad! Finally, he tore that second engine apart to rebuild it himself, and it was such a piece of junk that he abandoned it and bought a third engine and rebuilt it. I had flown out to retrieve the van, but due to the issues with the engines I had to fly home empty handed - twice! I had some miles to pay for the flights, and I was able to work remotely and had family to stay with in Napa, so I was able to be patient... Jeff paid for my last flight home and after he finished the repairs on the third and final engine, he shipped the VW to me in Texas, and he stood by his original price. He must have taken a loss on the whole thing, but he stood by his promises all the way through it. He was incredibly apologetic about the entire situation and did everything he said he would do - far above and beyond what I imagined a mechanic would do, especially for someone from so far away who wouldn't be turned into a regular, life-long customer. I talked to a VW shop about his work and his price, and they said he did it for waaay below market, too. If you're in Fairfield or anywhere near, you need to take your car (or old VW, if he'll ever look at one again) to Jeff. Great, honest, trustworthy mechanic. read more

I called Jeff and asked to schedule an appointment a week in advance to lower my car and to install a wiring harness for my HID lights. When I arrived for my appointment he tells me he can't work on my car that day and then asks if I can come in the next day instead. I tell him "sure if that's easier". The next day arrives and I drop my car off with them. Later that day they start to text and call my phone asking questions about the wiring harness installation. I then tell them not to worry about it if they aren't sure on how to install it. 30 minutes later I get a text saying my car is done. Once I arrived, he hands me the key and tells me one of my lights is now out. I then test my car and come to find out both headlights no longer work as well as both my parking light bulbs are blown out. They also forgot to plug in my drivers side turn signal back in the socket. I check my hood and found out that they broke my car battery positive cover in half as well as my wiring harness snaps. Also wires were going everywhere on top of my engine and weren't looked completely unprofessional. They ended up also killing both of my ballasts for my HID lights. So I reinstalled my factory headlights and plugged my turn signal back in. I tell him about the damages and he tells me that once I buy new ballasts he will install them for free even though he damaged them. I then ask for compensation for his terrible customer service and he got an attitude and agreed. He only gave me a refund for the light service and replaced the parking light bulbs, but didn't agree to pay for any of the damages. I wouldn't recommend this place for installing aftermarket electronic systems. read more
