They did a super lousy oil change services, they didn't tight up the oil tank screw that all engine oils almost split out. Extremely unprofessional service.. the boss even tried to persuade me to get another service which I told him I just did it few months ago.. he was trying to fool me to smell the oil which is actually water. read more

The place is a no frills kind of place right next to the train tracks and a little inset from the road. I went here for a star smog check and this shop had the best price in the area. Apparently pricing is different for smog and star smog check but this shop does both. The owner was very nice and gave me instructions to get out (one lane road). Had my prius serviced here. Got an oil change, engine flush, filters replaced and new wipers. Prices were very fair. My car was giving me danger signals and the sensors kept going off every time i used the brakes, but now it's all fixed and im very happy with the quick and friendly service. Fast service, good price. Busy little shop, tucked behind some other shops. Kind of easy to miss as you drive by. Brought in a Chevy and a Fiat for oil changes. Once my Chevy got in the stall it was only about 10 minutes. For the Fiat, they had to call their supplier to run in and deliver a filter. Took a little longer than the Chevy, but not bad. Doing any work on the Fiat is a pain, so I still considered it very fast service. Will come back, would recommend. read more

I needed a quick oil change and a little air for my tired. I called a couple of places and the pit stop quickly answered my call and accommodated all my questions. Upon arriving, I didn't really get to see the establishment because they were near the train tracks and behind a small establishment, so you may need to enter the small pathway and looks for the pit stop closely. The area needs a bit of improvement because and there is no waiting area. Waiting time was okay. Be careful when they request to drive your car because they may have oil under their shoes that may stain your car carpet. But besides that, the staff welcomed me and assisted me as soon as I arrived which is good because I don't like wondering around on who to approach especially when I'm inside the car because some of the staff may be doing their own thing. So I'm glad that I was quickly welcomed. The price was decent and staff were very quick and professional. So all in all, I give a 4/5 read more

The Pit Stop has been one of kind Gem. It might be hard place to find but like most gem's you have to stop and find them . I have taken my car in to get oil change and get the car worked. Which in both event's the apply great Skill and care for there work at the shop. They do charge labor fee and tax. normal $30 bucks. Yes it true there limit is up to 4qts of oil but any one knows as long you keep track of your car . the oil change wouldn't cost so much to do in the first place. It worth the time to waif for good work. I would recommend anyone to use this place and make your a count for a lest 30 mins of work . read more

My oil change light lit up, which has never happened to me before. I do my best to upkeep and take care of my car, and in 8 years and 107k miles, this was the first time. I needed a new place to change my oil since the last place obviously failed me (Sears Auto of Newark, CA). I felt something was off when the wife brought the car back without the oil change sticker to remind you of the next oil change. Not even a few months or 1k miles and the 15% oil life light comes on. It okay though, because thanks to Sears auto asshats, I found this place. Faster service, quality service, well priced, and a full free fluid check which brought to my attention my power steering fluid needed to be flushed and replaced. Apparently Sears peeps didn't catch that when they 'supposedly' changed out the oil and checked the car fluids. The Pit Stop mechanic showed me the color of the PSF and it was getting grimey as hell. Anyways, good job and good work to the mechanics at The Pit Stop-Ten Minute Oil Change. I don't know about their other services because I've only had an experience with this auto shop in regards to car fluids, but my personal experience was a good one. read more

Great place! Found this place after the last place I used came under new management. Probably saved my transmission. He checked my trans fluid and showed me how FILTHY it was. As if it had never been changed. Checked my paperwork from my last full service at the local dealership. They said it was "Good". I don't think the dealership even looked at it. LOL!!!! Not only do they change your oil, but they also put on a comedy show unknowingly! First things first. If your looking for a clean, professional modern looking place, keep searching. If you are looking for a place that will change your oil and check fluids in a timely manner, this is it. You dont even need to get out of your car, you pull up, tell the dude your milage and stuff and give him your method of payment and he gets to work. Said "dude" is a hoot! He lookes like he popped straight out of a backwoods Texas gas station, is dirty as hell, leaves dirty finger prints on your ride and mumbles things under his breath while hes working! I love it! The price is cheap, or at least it used to be, who knows now a days. The freakin price of everything has gone up. Anyhow, the guy is mostly friendly, he just comes off as a guy waiting for retirement but overall, hes a nice guy. I understand him. Bottom line, Fast and effecient, not too expensive and pretty funny how the dude fumbles around and has that classic dirty mechanic thing going on. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Pricing seems to be variable and depends on the technician and what he thinks he can get away with. Quoted me a price nowhere near the posted sign, then lowered it two times-- trying to get me to ok the work. I was extremely displeased with this pricing process, so I told him I wanted to take my car/not have them perform the smog. Then the price was lowered again. I've been going here for years. Back in the day it was a good reliable place. Now ... Haha what a joke. One time they filled my truck with a quart extra of oil. When I called and asked how many quarts they put it they said 6 like it's supposed to. No, it takes 5. They didn't even think to look at what engine it had in it and assumed and put in too much. To fix this all they did was drain some out. Well they drained too much out and wouldn't top it off the next day. Another time I braught my car here they changed the oil with no problems but some kid checked it after it ran for a few a seconds and wanted to add more oil. I had to shout no! Before he over filled it. Again. And the other day the same kid went to drain my fathers oil... Pulled the drain plug on the sealed tranny. 2013 with 50,000 miles and the tranny is now slipping immediately after this. This place is a joke. Steve is the only one there that cares and knows what he is doing. Only one I'll trust at this location to work on my vehicles. read more

What a joke these guys are! If I could give these a-holes no stars I would! I was looking for a quick oil change place near my house that was convenient for me. I found these guys and read some reviews. There were a few that were negative so I called them to get a price and feel them out. The guy who answered asked me what make, model and year my vehicle is. I told him. He. ever asked what motor my car has. He told me my car takes 6 quarts of oil and it would cost me $39.00. I told the guy that I have changed my own oil many times and it never took more than 5 quarts of oil. He then told me it would cost $36.00. If you're thinking about going there try calling first and ask them how much. Most vehicles only take 5 quarts of oil. If they tell you 6 they are most likely LYING to you. These people are vultures waiting to take advantage of people who don't know any better. Steer clear of these losers! Besides, most every other oil changers can beat their prices! read more

I went to the Pit Stop for my Smog Check and oil change since I saw many good reviews and prices. Since the Pit Stop had a big sign advertising a 10-minute oil change, I thought they would be quick too. Boy was I wrong! The Technician/Boss wanted me to leave the car saying it would be about 2 HOURS!!! I opted to wait in the boiling hot office. When it was finally finished, he never spoke to me. Instead he called his male secretary into the shop area, handed him my paperwork to give to me and told him what to say. He kindly repeated what the Boss had said to tell me that 1) my smog failed, 2) too expensive to repair and 3) referred me to the Vehicle Retirement Program website. Then the Boss briefly came into the shop office to grab something off the desk and abruptly left and said "too expensive to repair" which had a rude tone. How did he have any way of knowing what "too expensive" would be for me? I left with a smog report with some check marks, a couple of fails, no explanation as to why it failed, no referral to a repair shop and a false or misleading statement of "too expensive to repair" which goes against the Bureau of Automotive Repair's Business and Professional Code. WHY do I say it was a false statement? Because today, I took my car to a San Jose Auto Service shop where I got the NOT so expensive repair, top notch service when after their repair they took my car to a Smog Check station for me where it passed, making the Pit Stop look lazy. read more
