Great choice from the Mara vista farmers market. Next time I would ask for more hot honey.

Operating exclusively on Friday afternoons out of a church parking lot with classic rock playing. This portable setup has just works. They are pumping out fantastic, massive 18" pies that are a lovely cross between New York and Napoli styles. The crust has a delicious taste and a perfect chew, but with the structure and size of a large NY pizza pie. The Margheroni pizza was excellent, featuring an ultra-tangy tomato sauce with a lot of bite, though my pepperoni pie could have used more slices of pepperoni. The team has thought of all the details. Service is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and organized. Because they only sell whole 18" pies, you'll want to have family or friends to share in the goodness. While there are a few picnic tables on-site, most people opt for takeout. There is a slight wait if you walk up, but they accept same-day orders over the phone for a specific pick-up time so it's ready when you arrive. Payment is seamless--they take cash, debit, credit, and I easily paid via my Apple Watch. Tip: Remember, they are only open on Fridays! Call ahead to secure your pickup slot.

Yes, there is a slight wait for your order but time flies watching the well-oiled machine - from shaping the dough to shuffling pies in the oven, the team at Petramale really thought of all the details. Best part, there's seating, and live entertainment in the form of music and a basketball hoop on a truck for the whole family to enjoy We'll be back - wish I could've got a Petramale jersey for merch. Those jerseys are so cool!! Cheers, Petramale!

Each pie is made in high heat oven bake. Thin crust pizza with a fluffy and airy crust that exudes a soft, warm, slightly Smokey aroma with each bite. Toppings can vary depending on the day, but I normally like to mix both a tomato based sauce and white sauce pie. So therefore always a group venture. Diavola was a show stopper. A tomato based sauce with Fior di latte cheese and perfectly crisp pepperoni. Not gonna lie, I ate 3/4 of the pie on my own. Bianca was a white sauce with Fior di Latte and uniquely a lemon preserve. Pretty distinct citrus flavor so not sure how many of you will relate to it. Very unique flavoring. Had 2 slices but not a pie you can eat alone in my opinion. Make sure you're with a partner or group. Overall loved their pies and looking forward to trying the Napoletana and Fungi.

Everyone was extremely friendly and apologetic about the wait. I hear there's a sit down location opening next week! Very worth it though, the margarita special was sooooo good. I prefer the crust a little burnt, so it was perfect, but My husband said it was a little too dark for him. The tiramisu was very fresh and delicious, I felt there was too much mascarpone and the espresso could be stronger.

Appetizers: Focaccia (sfincione) - 5/10 (GF rating 4/10) Super greasy, like, very. Make sure to ask for extra olive oil on the side, as that does make it better as they do have delicious olive oil. The bread seems like it's also cooked in olive oil, but frankly if they made their bread and had olive oil on the side it would've been much better. The bread itself though, ugh that whole bottom was wet in oil. Super unfortunate. Solid but oily as heck. Rice Croquettes (suppli in Bianco) - 5/10 (GF rating 2/10) Forgettable. Nothing special, no sauce paired with it. They're mediocre. I wouldn't get this again. Mains: Lamb Ragu (malloreddus) - 9/10 (GF rating 7.5/10) Extremely tasty. Pasta was very well cooked, lamb meat was perfect, as goes for the cheese on top and the sauce. Amazing meal. Would've been far better without having the subpar appetizers beforehand. Cheese and pepper pasta (cacio e Pepe) - 5/10 (GF rating 6.5/10) Non meat pastas aren't my thing, so take my rating with a grain of salt, as I would never get this myself. Girlfriend thought it was wayyyy too peppery, but that the pasta were cooked very well). Dessert: Panna Cotta - READ BELOW The panna cotta as a whole - disgusting. Jam on top was awfully bitter, quite literally inedible. The crouton like things were whatever. The panna cotta itself, as in only the white part, VERY good. After painstakingly doing our best to scrape off the jam, we were able to get to the base, and that itself tasted great (bar getting even a hint of the syrupy jam flowing into your bite). Service was fine. Didn't care for the ambiance.

The outdoor seating is really nice, and the whole area feels calm and tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, great spot to hang out while you wait. Parking wasn't too bad, but definitely read the street signs. The pizza itself was delicious, the dough was well-made and you can taste the quality. That said, the pizzas are on the smaller side, so if you're sharing, make sure you're not too hungry. Otherwise, I'd recommend getting your own.
