This place is just the most awful pizza place I have ever ordered from. We just ordered from them and the order came wrong. I called. They did not care and told me to deal with the delivery people. I called the delivery people. They told me they delivered what Johnnie's told them to (they had the instructions etc.) and I would have to deal with Johnnies. I called Johnnies back. I spoke with the manager. I told him the order was wrong, it was not the delivery services fault and I would be willing to drive there to have it fixed or get a refund. He said he was too busy and would not do anything to help me. He was so mean. He said something was delivered and we have already charged you for it and we will not change anything. I asked him if he was willing to lose a customer over this. His response was , "I don't care." He hung up. My husband tried calling and he hung up on him. The place is somewhat clean, I have been there before and should have known better. The pizza has never been good, but like an idiot I thought we could give them another chance. So, that is on me. Their pasta is terrible. The order that did come was burned and not eatable. The pasta was over cooked and cold. All of it went in the trash. I am so done with them. Please don't go there. The service was awful. They are so rude. This all happened last week. I actually got in my car to drive the mess back and they would not take it and would not refund my money. Solid Pizza, heavy not really the thin NY style but a good combo pizza that reminds me of a better version of the infamous Costco Combo pizza that no longer exists. Honestly my favorite pizza so far in West LA. I went in for an individual slice after a massage next door. The dough and cheese were delicious, ordered roasted garlic and was pretty shocked to see the size and amount of garlic so be mindful if you choose that topping - but honestly still was so good. I sat at a table inside and ate, the cashier was super friendly and the pizza came out so fast! I ordered again from here at a later date and got two full pizzas, garlic knots, and a Caesar. Nothing disappointed! For West coast pizza this is absolutely the best I've had so far and going to continue to order from here whenever I'm in a pizza mood! read more

i was going to a potluck and I decided to bring Garlic Knots. I remembered from many years ago when I had a catering business that I use to get them from Johnnies Pizza. Well, it was absolutely even better than I remembered. They were AMAZING and the marinara sauce was some of the BEST I have ever had. They couldn't have been more helpful or nicer to deal with. I have gotten my pizza here for 20 years as they are the closest to NY pizza me and my son have ever had, as I'm originally from NYC. I a get their veggie chopped salad which is like the big salad from Seinfeld, and it is delicious. Their Italian Dressing is the best. Their staff is friendly, pleasant and always welcoming. I decided to try this place again after a terrible experience several years ago. I frequent almost every store in that mall and this particular Johnnie's is in desperate need of renovation. The last time I contacted them there was a communication issue on the phone where the person on the line could barely speak English. I was unable to place the delivery order. Today I had a delivery order for a medium pizza with pepperoni and mushroom and a chicken parm sandwich. The sandwich was edible and the pizza was forgettable. The price for these two items was $32 minus a tip. Overpriced and zero value. The food is just average and that is being kind. I have ordered pizzas from them several times they usually have good service there's been three times in the last month that they've delivered an incorrect pizza. When I called them they refused and they argue with me about what I said on the phone that I ordered. My mother just had a fall she's 92 years old and on blood thinners and what I ordered tonight was her dinner. So, if you read the South End review, you know I ended up here because it just wasn't what I was looking for (apparently, this is a bad thing?). I'm gonna call it serendipity, a fortuitous accident. The food and service here is outstanding! We started with some garlic bread and bruschetta. The garlic bread is thick and covered in buttery garlic and served with a dipping bowl of house marinara. The tomatoes and basil were fresh and the bruschetta was perfectly crisped. The standout, though, was the amazing pizza! Everything about the pie was perfect - crispy crust, lots of gooey cheese, terrific marinara and some of the freshest toppings to be found anywhere. I highly recommend Johnnie's and can't wait to get back to L.A. for another slice myself. Ordered two pizzas from here recently on a whim off Uber Eats, was a little hesitant at the price but I like trying new pizza joints and it's getting hard to find good quality large pies for under $25 - $30 nowadays. The size was spot on - it was LARGE, crust had that nice touch of crunch and flavor without being burnt - some critics might want it a bit more pliable for folding but I thought it had a nice texture and was filling, cheese to sauce ratio was perfect and flavorful, and the toppings on the combo were generous and fresh! Overall I was pleasantly surprised and thought it turned out to be a good value with how filling each slice was. The 4 of us had extra slices for the next day, big win!
